141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are frequently used on the "DarkNet/DeepWeb" on: July 26, 2017, 12:12:50 AM
No, it was in oldy days man. Now, only very small part of bitcoin and other coins are used in darknet. Crypto is used for trade and other actions not for activities in deepweb. It's a fantacy.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting Altcoins - Airdrops etc. on: July 25, 2017, 11:52:59 PM
Has anyone ever made any significant amount from free coin giveaways or airdrops?
For me it just seems like a waste of time, but I'd love to hear from some other people who have some succes stories... Smiley

apparently NEM and ripple giveaways are worth a lot now.  although both made it effectively impossible to get your coins from them after a certain date.

I think all people got xem and xrp in giveaway times already sold them for cheap money. Airdrop hunters can't wait long time to keep their coins.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: July 25, 2017, 11:24:10 PM
Yahoo was a profit organization directed by poor managers and they failed. I don't see similarity between yahoo and bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and not managed by a group of people. Bitcoin will survive in any bad case.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop all the ICOS now! SEC is coming! on: July 25, 2017, 11:14:18 PM

Nothing new in those links. US citizens can't contribute any ICO and this was already on. SEC can't take decissions to control the rest of the World population.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ArtByte vs Musicoin on: July 25, 2017, 07:37:11 PM
Do you think coin platforms supporting artists to sell their art will become a big thing?

If yes. I would choose to hold both.

I'm not interested is art or music but it is good to be mining musicoin with GPU. The monthly income is well and you can easily store them for future rises.
146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1 Million satoshis per day on: July 25, 2017, 07:27:31 PM
It’s actually pretty easy to make 1 million Satoshi per day with just one btc.  I’m new on this forum but have been treading for a few years.  I can tell you that just lending, the return can be as much as .2% per day, with a much larger return if you are smart on trading and catch the right timeframe.
the fees of bitcoin is not cheap and 0.2% is not a great amount of money. Spending more time to learn about the trading will give you more opportunity to earn a huge profit in year or even one day. trading is always the best job in the cryptocurrency community. As you can see, traders create the market Wink and our market worth nearly $100,000,000,000

In united states the annual interest is around 1% and saying 0.2% fee per action is not a great mount of Money is totally wrong if you want the truth. We also pay attention for small amounts because if we save them, the sum would be great at the end.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Volatility Be Controlled? on: July 25, 2017, 01:09:46 AM
I have read some posts and some concerns that it is the volatility of Bitcoin that is preventing many people and many businesses to fully adopt Bitcoin. This can be the main factor why big online shopping stores are not yet adding Bitcoin into their payment facilities (though there is now a circulated petition for this but I doubt if it can make a dent).

Some are really saying that if volatility can be managed then we can see Bitcoin going mainstream. I am wondering then: Is volatility something that we should find a way to control and how do you think it can be done?
The volatility cant be really controlled, and its mainly caused by investors fright, one time they hear good news concerning the market which drives up the value another time issues like the incoming fork may drive investors to cash out thus driving down the value. To be fully adopted by coporations they will need to always change the prices of their products and immediately cash out after a purchase for fears that the market may tumble.

The volatility can't be controlled but it can be much lower. I don't remember where, yet I've read a study showin bitcoin's volatility will decline sharply for the next years. This would be good for bitcoin user merchants.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 25, 2017, 01:02:11 AM
I'm still waiting for new platform where the users will feel more comfortable for their exchange orders. The current platform is so old-fashion and the new one is needed.

Aftet the new platform's launch, the waves will be more precious.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 25, 2017, 12:43:08 AM
Would ETH go down in price if Segwit in BTC goes smoothless?

Would ETH go up in price if Segwit activation occurs some trouble on August 1st?

Unfortunately (IMO) there is no crypto mature enough, including ETH (yet...), to have a market independent of Bitcoin trade. So I would guess that if Bitcoin goes up, every other cryptos will go up like you can see every day looking at CoinMarketCap's charts.

Hopefully within a few years, the ETH market won't rely that much on Bitcoin anymore and the two of them will be able to spend some time along (and not against) each other.

Would ETH go down in price if Segwit in BTC goes smoothless?

Would ETH go up in price if Segwit activation occurs some trouble on August 1st?

I think the likely trouble on August 1 has been averted since Segwit has been locked in, all Altcoin is going to suffer a day or two dump when SegWit is activated because for me I think SegWit news has been priced in the price for now.

The correlation between BTC & ETH is already decreasing, I made a study about it 1 year ago, I need to check it again on a month/monh basis.

Maybe in 1-2 years ETH will become independent of BTC, because after all it has no ties to it whatsoever. Maybe ETH needs it's own forum to not rely so heavily on Bitcointalk. That would make it more independent.

Thanks for answer though, I personally think there will be a tiny drawdown like 10-15%, but nothing catastrophic.

The deal is not about bitcointalk forum or not having its own forum. The problem ethereum haters are making a black propaganda every time when ethereum faces a difficulty. But soon, this will change after ethereum POS.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: July 25, 2017, 12:32:08 AM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
I think is part of BTC's volatility. There are times where dipping occurs and there are also times of its pumps. There are people that do panic selling, there nothing wrong with that because they only want to assure the profit from their wealth. There are those who takes the advantage on those times because they know that its value will again increase, days and weeks after the dump. Still a long way for BTC. Let's just think of deflation as part of BTC's nature.

I know those panic sellers and they're only short term investors or traders. They can't be patient for making money and they sell their coins very frequently. If they wait a bit, they will make real money.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the maximum cost of bitcoin in 2017? on: July 24, 2017, 11:40:53 PM
If all goes well, I expect between $ 4000 and $ 5000 by the end of the year.
I think we won't even reach $4000 probably if all goes well $3500. Anyway, even if we go above that to those 4000 that you're all are expecting this will be followed by a correction back to $3000 or below, so don't be too greedy. Let Bitcoin work slow.
But you can take those opportunities to gain even more bitcoin if bitcoin goes up to 4000 dollars and then there is a correction you can get more bitcoin by selling at 4000 and then buying again at 3500, this is what the whales keep doing with a very high success high rate.
your all perceptions are right but look at the traders who are so optimistic that they will think bitcoin reaches at $4500 at the end of 2017 but I’ll consider that bitcoins prices makes some era like era of buyers and era of sellers so that the traders will get perfect amount of profit and satisfy from their business.

Look at the current pressure on bitcoin, this couldn't prevent bitcoin from going up to $2,800 on july. I see the way of rise is still available for bitcoin. I'm taking a guess and saying we can still go to $3,500 this year.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker - 60hr Token sale begins July 15 on: July 24, 2017, 11:30:29 PM
I can see the price going down for more days, the impatient bounty hunters are going to sell some of their tokens and present a good buying opportunity even current the price is far below the ICO price

In theory, yes but what if the cryptocurrency market crashes again? The price will go down more than this and you'll be in loss despite your logical buy attempt. Careful on august.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 24, 2017, 11:08:10 PM
Is any here even aware that there have been bitcoin based debit cards for months (if not years) and didn't need to be crowdfunded (AFAIK)?

Xapo
Bitpay
Cryptopay
Uquid
Bitplastic
platinumbitcoincard
Coinsbank
Wirex

...... all already operating. you can order a card TODAY and get it in the mail in a few weeks.....

HALLLOOOO  Huh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The bitcoin debit card you list above are charging very high fee. Monaco's will be very suitable for regular people like us iwth low/zero fee. And there will be ability to get profit share of the platform as I heard.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money Moving Back into Bitcoin from Alt-Coins on: July 24, 2017, 10:59:38 PM
As a scaling solution has been reached, it looks as if money is finally flowing back into Bitcoin (https://coinmarketcap.com/). There is a clear downwards trend on all of the alt-coin's value graphs, while Bitcoin has a clear spike in recent days.

Thoughts on what this means for bitcoin / alt-coins in general?

First I don't believe they reached a scaling solution as a result of BIP91 and segwit. Then it's usual to observe that money is leaving those altcoins so that it could make another bitcoin glory. We waited for this too much and it's time for bitcoin to write another story.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [UPDATE] [ANN] [ICO] STORM Token and StorMarket: Freelancing via blockchain on: July 23, 2017, 03:07:58 AM
Your idea is good, you have a great team also a good advisor. This project is great and I think is in dire need of support. I see no campaign program here, what I missed? For me the campaign is very important in a project and this is one of the success factors of a project.

No, they also have a good bounty program. Let me share the link with you below.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2005611.msg19963805#msg19963805

The problem is community support and getting attention from the people I guess. And they only picked 5 or 6 languages in total. This is also wrong unfortunately. Everbody does not speak English here.
156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin Over Market Price? on: July 23, 2017, 02:53:57 AM
If you could get bitcoin at a certain price and then sell it to another exchange or person... how profitable would this be?  For example bitcoin is 2500 a coin.  You get them at 2500 a coin.  Localbitcoins it seems like ppl who buy bitcoin actually offer you more than 2500 per coin right?  If thats the case, why not look for a buyer... then buy your bitcoin from an exchange... then sell that bitcoin to a buyer for profit?  The issue of course is you need to make sure the price doesnt drop much between when you get the actual bitcoin in your wallet and doing the transaction with the other user.  Does anyone know how much money ppl are buying over the market price for bitcoin on localbitcoins?  For example if price is 2500... are people paying like 3 percent for it?  Thus 2575 etc for a coin?  Or is it the other way around?  Because i recalled didn't people sell bitcoin at face value or actually get less than face value?  But since bitcoin gotten really big, its actually worth more than cash value?

I planned to do the same thing here in Italy but then I realized that the gap between exchanges would take away my profit. If we knew the bitcoin price would stay constant, this would be a good way to earn money but the price moves and this could result in loss for us.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: When $10k? on: July 23, 2017, 02:37:57 AM
Maybe after the increase in block size to 2MB towards the end of the year, or maybe sooner than that if things stay bullish. Four digit coins might become history soon, and in a few years become as unattainable as double digit coins are today. Hopefully in a few years people will be making threads entitled "when $100k".

This will happen eventually anyway. We're going step by step. Remember how fast we hit $2.000 this year after march's hard fork rumors. If bitcoin could maintain its development, we'll hit $10.000 within 10 years for sure.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [UPDATE] [ANN] [ICO] STORM Token and StorMarket: Freelancing via blockchain on: July 23, 2017, 02:19:42 AM
There is really lack of attention for this project, I don't know why.

And it's really unique to be on bittrex during crowd sale, you said 20% will be already on bittrex. And Bittrex CEO is also a partner. Totally unique!
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TO BE OR NOT TO BE MILLIONAIRE? on: July 23, 2017, 01:55:25 AM
Which coin would you buy 10,000 of now for a fraction of a cent then?

I wouldn't buy any of them. I see the point of that guy when opening this thread but he miss something. No promising coin will be at $0.00002 type of price. All of them already filled and their price are high.
160  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 23, 2017, 01:35:44 AM
Now I am using electrum. Because I don't believe  online wallet. Online wallet can be hacked any time. Though blockchain.info is also a good choice. But I am going to suggest you, to use desktop wallet electrum.bitcoincore, simple bitcoin. but I love electrum.

Online wallets can be hacked, but electrum and others can be hacked as well. It's all up to your computer and internet connection. If your machine is clean, nobody can touch you. I also use xapo wallet, it's online but I feel safe there.
