Interesting ... I am using this LTC calculator and it says I would be mining at a loss with my current setup.  As opposed to BTC.

I LOVE CGMiner!!!!!  So glad I was told to try that one.  I like how it shows the temp and fan speed.

No clue.  Never had a 5850.

I hear they are the best card ever for mining.  Heard some guys saying they got 415 mhash range out of them.

Heck yeah let me know how those run!!  I want to get more cards, this is all too fun.

Ended up going with CGMiner.

Getting about 315 per card now and both under 66 temp.

Two 7850.

One gigabyte and one Asus.

I am getting 250 mhash out of the asus and 280 mhash out of the gigabyte.

Anyone know any good flags for GUIMiner for them?

Or should I just use CGMiner?  I hear a lot of good about CGMiner.

Video cards hold value really well.

I can always sell them when ASIC does decide to come out.

So to answer your question, no, I do not think it was a waste!
