We do have a choice of saving the Earth or not, but there isn't much of a choice if you want the human race to survive. Climate change is real people, there is evidence, proved by scientific studies. Actually, even if you're not a scientist, you'll know that the world's climate is getting more extreme each passing day. Ice caps are melting, water level is rising, global temperature is at an all time high--higher than any temperature in recorded history. Not everything is a conspiracy; climate change is real, and is here. Even if in the future we will be able to transcend beyond this planet and find a new one, that is still too far away. We may not even witness it in this lifetime. Global warming is increasing more rapidly than we are advancing technologically. The world may take its toll even before we get to invent spaceships that can support millions of human lives. If you love mankind, you must love our origin, our planet--and do anything you can to save it.

Humans did not come from monkeys. The saying may be famous, but it is wrong to say that we descended from monkeys. The monkeys today and us humans have one common ancestor, and those are the Austrolopethicus and the other hominids. The reason why there are still monkeys today is that some time in the past, they branched of from our roots. Environment, lifestyle, everything affected their evolution, just as how ours affected our evolution. Some evolved into monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees and etc. while we evolved into Homo Sapien Sapiens. There are a lot of proof that this is true, not only in our species but in other animals as well. I would recommend reading on Charles Darwin and other evolution theorists. The scientific community has studied this rigorously and is now accepted internationally.

The Maute group is not directly affiliated with ISIS, but they have pledged their allegiance to the much bigger extremist group. These past few years, ISIS has been going strong with their terror attacks against humanity, and I believe it is what inspired most terrorist groups today. It's saddening that the world has come to this, but I still hope we can change things. Pray for Marawi, and the whole human race.
