142  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: February 11, 2018, 07:37:23 PM
Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

That is still a plan. But there are already attempt in doing such but they are failed to extinct cash. Maybe, if Sweden would implement a cashless one, what will happen if they travel abroad or to countries in which fiat are still the main currency? If all countries would implement cashless, then there will be a great disaster. Meaning, it would be impossible.

Sweden is not planning to permanent terminate cash, they are going for lowering the use of paper cash, - a thing that has been going in all Nordic countries for 10 years now, - and using the electronic form of cash, namely credit cards and Mobil pay. Something that already account for 80% of all transactions.

You go to another country that use another currency, you exchange! just like you do today.

144  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: February 07, 2018, 04:19:05 PM
I think it's possible that in the future most cryptos will be accepted at supermarkets the same way they accept different different credit cards. The main issue noawadays with cryptos is the scarcity of use in everyday life but this may change soon and then the bubble talkers will all disappear

Its not gonna happen, as long as the fee is this high. Buying a cola, and paying double because of fee, is not something most are willing to do in the long run. Daily shopping is a no go for bitcoin as it is now.

146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: February 03, 2018, 12:57:32 PM
if you buy, this is the best time cuz its very low in price. btc has a limited supply so it will only increase in price in long term.

It sure is. If you have the spare cash, this is your time. Buy up, keep cool and wait for the rise again.

152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin on: January 16, 2018, 01:22:25 PM
Absolutely right 2017 is crazy about bitcoin, the price of the bitcoin increased from $1000 to $18,000.  I think the main reason prices are rising because of the bitcoin hardfrok.
now the effects are already felt bitcoin price decreased. many investors who have been selling the bitcoin to take the profits.

No to worry about BTC, it will bounce back soon. Its just testing support for the current level, and the Chinese party coming up. Lots of stuff to buy, firecracker and dragons and such... Grin
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: January 16, 2018, 08:52:56 AM
Possibly because they have been upfront about the fact that a lot of it has been premixed and how it is going to be distributed amongst others. Airdrop is a good idea and allows people who dont have big rigs to get involved and support something they think can work

Airdrop is indeed a good thing. I wonder why there is so many ICO’s when airdrop clearly is a better option in my view. If you got a low supply in your coin, say under 50 million and drop say 10-50% of these over a period, you automatic create interest and you get coins to a lot of people, possible holding or rising the price, by that alone. Huh If you on top of that actually have a game plan for the coin..... it helps  Grin
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: January 10, 2018, 11:33:19 PM
Deeponion is like onion xD the harder you peel it, the more you cry ... i happy cry Smiley over 255 % profit on 4 days ... amazing .. keep on hold to see 100$ on deeponion half year !!!!

This is going to much more than a 100$. In 3 month time, this puppy will be at 0.1 btc!
I truly believe that it will be 0.01 btc in 14 days! Sounds wild, but better pick up a bunch now, because they will be expensive shortly.

156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC value is growing day by day ? on: January 05, 2018, 06:16:40 PM
In my own opinion, bitcoin is growing day by day because of it's fast growing population and investors that are attracted to invest millions or maybe billions of dollars. And also many users that trades, transact, and transferring money every day using bitcoin.
Bitcoin continues to grow because of many reasons. More and more people become interested in Bitcoin. Unfortunately, the vast majority of them are here only because they want to earn money easily. What a shame that not everyone understands the technology which is behind Bitcoin. Blockchain and Bitcoin have started the revolution

Don’t worry about that. We are all in it to earn money!! The technology for it to take on cash money is not even there in bitcoin, too slow too high a fee. So we are in it for the money. As I said in summer 2017, bitcoin will go to 100.000$ in 2018, without breaking a sweet. Sure looks like that is the way it’s going. Just wish I brought more in January 2017 Smiley

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: January 04, 2018, 06:28:03 PM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?
It is for certain that one day Bitcoin will die, nothing last forever. When that happen it will be replaced by some other crypto, unless some other kind of currency is developed that is better than crypto.
It is not to late to invest into Bitcoin. Bitcoin will die one day, but that will not happen soon. So there is still time to make some money.

Absolutely agree, bitcoin is a long way from dying. It will reach 100.000$ before it reaches 50$ again. Invest away, there is still lots of profit to be had.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC value is growing day by day ? on: January 03, 2018, 08:08:50 PM
The hedge funds are plowing in, in preparation for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange listing bitcoin futures on December 11th (the estimated date of launch).

To be a true hedge fund you need to be long as well as short, so owning the underlying asset (bitcoin) allows them to then short on the CME. Having a lot of coins also means they can manipulate the price a bit. For example say they have gone short on the CME and want to force the bitcoin price down towards settlement time - easy, just sell the actual bitcoins you have bought.

Prepare for a very wild ride when the futures are launched.

So do you think this increase is due to "big money" coming in? That would explain the very sudden surge in the price but I'm not entirely sure how sustainable this would be.
Yeah, there are so many big corporations and rich guys who invested in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. Let's talk about billionaires who invested huge amount of money in to bitcoin. Let's take the recent one as an example by Peter Thiel, the PayPal co-founder who invested about $20 million in bitcoin - January 1st, 2018. Plus, we also now billionaires like Lee Kun Hee, and Mike Novogratz that invested over $250+ millions each into the cryptocurrency market. In fact, they are too many, you can read more about number of billionaires who invested in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2682836.0

Interesting link. I’ll like to have this kind of cash for investment Smiley. I’m pretty sure when the big guys invest they are in for the big bucks, so they are not going to let btc go down. 100.000$ here we come Smiley
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: January 03, 2018, 07:13:58 PM
It is nearly impossible to spend bitcoins in every day shoppings. There are no shops that accept bitcoins in my country, thats why people use cash

- and there will never be, other then a few oddies that just want to use (new) tech, regardless if it functional or not. Bitcoin has too high a fee and too slow transaction speed, two things that will have to be overcome to compete with cash for minor daily business usage.
