141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 25, 2022, 10:11:37 AM
Argentina, Brazil's arch-rival, should not be forgotten. Argentina is playing very well this time. They won two trophies before the World Cup. Also beat Brazil and Italy again. They have quite a chance to do something good this time.
Why does it seem that Portugal has been stylishly pushed out of the list of possible contenders to the World Cup title? I know their squad is not what it used to be. I also know that some folks here may argue that their performances in the Euro's and UEFA Nations League has been short of impressive but I still think that they are the dark horse in this tournament. Players such as Rafael Leão, Bruno Fernandes, Nuno Mendes, Bernardo Silva, Rúben Neves, Matheus Nunes have been in great form this season and I hope they replicate their performance for their team in the World Cup.
Most didn't watch the match to know if Portugal's squad is still strong or what. There are also many famous star players in other countries who took over everyone's attention. Portugal in my opinion is the prime candidate for World Cup this year since their players play well together. Good Portuguese players come back to the national team without pulling tricks like 'injury' like the other players. Tho I fear the pressure for another World Cup bearer might put some players too stressed to play well.

Arteta and Arsenal players still need time to improve. The coach is in early of his management career and many of Arsenal players are young. They don't have too much experience in Premier League as well as their career.

We can not compare Arsenal and Manchester City in both coach position and their players. Manchester City is at a higher level definitely but I respect impressive things Arteta has done in Arsenal so far.

Although Arsenal is at the top of the points table, their performance cannot be said to be very good. Because they won against relatively weaker teams. But the Arsenal team is quite promising. The team has a lot of talented young players. If Arteta is able to build this team in the right way, they will undoubtedly be in contention for the title next season.

Comparing Arsenal to Manchester City is silly. Manchester City are willing to spend big to make their squad as strong and title-winning as possible. And coach Guardiola is very experienced. This season he has formed a stable team.

Comparing Arsenal with Man City may sound ridiculous, but isn't it not a taboo to compare the current standings for Arsenal, whose position is qualified, of course, is not a taboo thing for us to review. Statistically at this time Arteta is also experienced, spending money as well as Arsenal doing by installing young and talented players. Come on, it doesn't all sound ridiculous if you can see the potential of both parties in utilizing their respective portions in the English League. It's not all that I believe arsenal will be consistent, but rather a team management system where both are on the line of the standings that should be considered.
Manchester City is way above Arsenal right now. Just because Arsenal hasn't met top clubs yet so they have a very good standing, at the top of the league. But once this short break is over, I don't have confidence in Arsenal meeting with clubs like Manchester United (again) or even Tottenham. Sure, they did beat Chelsea but not in the Premier League and Chelsea is at its low point right now. Of all clubs in this season, I say Arsenal is the most consistent. But once they met with strong clubs, they will lose points. At least, I think they can stay over the top 4 at the end of season.

I say it was a dust attack there. Someone tries to probe your wallet if you forgot to exclude that dust input into your balance. Use coin control and send that amount back to where it comes from just to spite those cunt.
And if I were you, I would recheck or doubt my security cause someone has malicious intent toward you.

I don't know why Eternal Fire waited this long to start playing this much effectively.  Grin

I mean that they are performing great against Liquid now. First they beat Liquid on Vertigo by 16-13. And now they are 15-10 ahead on Inferno and this was Liquid's pick also. We are finally watching a strong team performance from Eternal Fire players but all this effort won't help them enter top 3 most probably. Because even if they win this and the last game their chance to qualify is very low especially due to their total round difference. It is too bad compared to the teams that have six points now. I just wish them to take the right steps from now on. I believe xfl0ud should come back to the roster again instead of staying benched.
I don't think making any changes to the team will do any good right now. He was a ''Paz'' Space soldiers player and he has very good friendships and communication with the team, rather he needs some getting used to in the new EF. They won today's Team Liquid match thanks to w0xic's individual performance, averaging 30 frags across both maps, which was tremendous. Currently, we can see the differences between individual players in the matches, Xantares and Woxic can carry the team. If this team does not break down, I think they will progress further. By the way, EF has no chance of successfully exiting the group.. Meanwhile, Team liquid lost today, putting their top-three finish in the group too much at risk.
woxic and xantares can stay in Eternal Fire since they carry the team hard. maj3r is igl so unless they found a better igl but also Turkish, else he is also staying. That leaves paz and imoRR as free to swap out if they found someone better. Usually, pro has a young talent or two on their team to future-proof. Also, the young talents has more room to grow while oldies already hit the skill ceiling, they can't contribute to the future of the team anymore. paz seems like the latter here.

Also just found Eternal Fire did have an academy for homegrown young Turkish into the pro-CS, called Eternal Fire Academy. xfl0ud (kid is 19 years old, quite decent in rifler) got benched and they signed up with paz as currently. btw, the chance for Eternal Fire to pass the group stage, into the playoff is too low. Too many 'if' which adds a lot of pressure on their own game. I doubt they could get a clean 2-0 win to fuel that hope.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: California sues Amazon, alleging its policies cause higher prices everywhere on: September 24, 2022, 10:53:15 AM
What you missing here is this one. People or buyer has a sort of loyal thinking to branding or platform. If they used to get their stuff from a platform, unless it earns their mistrust, they'll keep using it. This is how Amazon has established itself and its position. They got too many customers browsing Amazon that they were confident even with a little bit more expensive price, they can still sell it against the competitors on other platforms. As well as tricks like price floor like this. So yeah, I can understand why some sellers feel frustrated if they made their goods become available on many platforms and earn a blacklist from Amazon if they set their goods price lower on any platforms other than Amazon.

Yes... the last point is a valid one and I am not very comfortable with it.

Amazon blacklists sellers if they sell their products at a lower rate in any of the other online platforms. If the California authorities want to eradicate this practice, then I am 100% in support of them. But given the socialist/communist leaning of the current California representatives, I really don't think that their intention is that good.

Here in India, it is an entirely different story. Offline stores (who used to overcharge the customers by up to 2x) are mad that products are being available at very cheap rates in Amazon.
To be fair, it was Amazon's site after all. They might do a lot of 'scoop low' like this to maintain their monopoly on all the eCommerce platforms and competitors. For example, they can argue the 'price floor' is there to help and protect sellers on their site from the flash sales from other storefronts which also have their store open on other eCommerce platforms different from Amazon. Short flash sales to attract customers from Amazon leaving the site for the other.

Similar to that, a cut for Amazon from the seller higher than the other is a normal thing in online distribution or retail. About how one popular distributor demands more cuts than the less popular ones. Steam, for example, takes 30% share from the sales on there. Epic Games, another platform to sell games only take 12% from the sales, the rest toward the devs. All are fair in the open and competitive market.

https://www.malaymail.com/news/sports/2022/09/23/barca-duo-kounde-and-depay-suffer-injuries-in-nations-league/29780

in this article what is called the "FIFA virus". and we know that kounde has become one of barca's mainstays in the back line, he is a defender that xavi really needs in the el Clasico match later.

Losing Depay might not be too much of a problem since Lewandowski is still there, but Kounde is a pretty vital player for them right now.
On the other hand there is news that De Jong also had a slight problem with his foot but in the match he was withdrawn as a precaution so that it doesn't get worse.
This will obviously be a bit problematic for Barcelona because in this case their schedule is packed and El Clasico is in sight now.
Depay position more likely as a winger so there are several players who can covered his position such as Raphael if he cannot play so losing him aren't big problem for Barcelona and this news just appears today that besides De Jong other players such as Araujo also got injured and so far total 4 players who suffering injured and De Jong is very important player for Barcelona so losing him is big lost because Barcelona had faces tight schedules for upcoming matches and this why some of European managers doesn't liked international break because they do not want their players return to the clubs with injured issues
I don't think De Jong is as important to Barcelona as before. The dude's form is kind of shabby these days. Should've sold and pressured him to accept it when Manchester United is under panic and wanted to buy him. Pretty honest, a lot of good midfielders can be a replacement for De Jong with a lower wage. Hope Barcelona gets more midfielders for spare like they could sell De Jong for 70 million and get two good midfielders for that price.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Microstrategy purchased again 301BTC. Is this a sign? on: September 24, 2022, 10:23:56 AM
A sign, yes but depending on what kind of interpreted here. Some might see it as a good sign, MicroStrategy keeps DCA without selling their bag, indicating this price range is very close to the bottom. Some might see it differently, 301 BTC or worth around 6 million dollars isn't much. Lower than MicroStrategy's past investment into BTC, indicating they ain't put in as much money as before, either because this price range isn't the bottom yet or they are running out of steam.

I'm on the latter here since it makes more sense for that amount and not just because of the meme about every time MicroStrategy buys more BTC, its price drop further.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 24, 2022, 10:07:55 AM
The fun shouldn't be gone and that's why they're called games, they should be entertaining and you should have fun with it. But the NFT games/p2e has brought that idea to the people that while playing, you can earn and it all happened during the bull run.
Now, the constraint is that those investors/players that have experienced it won't be contented anymore with the profit that it can give to everybody because we've been used to how big the profits way back then.
I think the mix between both fun and money is the best, sort of providing a way for people to earn some money while they playing. Kinda like the old WoW where you can buy gold from pro-farming if you don't have time to farm. People who want to have fun can look up to people that just want to turn their time into money.

Of course, most NFT games and play to earn are completely short on the fun aspect. Everyone who plays that kind of game only cares about money which increases the supply while there is no demand for certain in-game currency peg to crypto. No doubt, after the hype is over, their crypto going to be fall in terms of price cause it's unsustainable under that scheme.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 24, 2022, 08:37:08 AM
We can clearly say that Eternal Fire are out of ESL Pro League after this huge defeat against Evil Geniuses also by 2-0. Even if they win both of their remaining matches it wouldn't still be enough. They have a chance mathematically of course but it is a very far possibility in the end. I still don't get how they managed to play even worse against the weakest opponent they have in this group. It must have been a clear victory for Eternal Fire instead and this would have been enough to boost their morale significantly.

I had hopes about Dust2 map at least but Eternal Fire performed even worse there and lost by 16-4. I think keeping imoRR in the main roster is a big mistake. They should replace him with xfl0ud as soon as possible to have a more reliable roster. He is a younger player and I believe he is much more talented. He is a much better team player also. imoRR is just hurting this team by simple individual mistakes. XANTARES said that he was their entry fragger but it looks like imoRR got this really wrong.  Grin
So far, this group seems easy for Liquid, Cloud9, Furia go to the playoff. EG, MovieStar Rider and Eternal Fire didn't even try or they don't have enough skill to do it. All the victories ended like 2-0 or under. Boring but more predictable for the bettors.
Also, want to as if Türkiye has young academy to train CS pro? Cause right now, xantares's teammate in Eternal Fire can't keep up with him anymore. Better shuffle some young talent into the team and hope for the better.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 24, 2022, 07:48:55 AM

Honestly, I was surprised when you put the name Manchester United as a big contender for the trophy. But indeed they deserve to be considered now as a club ready to threaten other clubs for the title.
Their good record over several matches seems to be your consideration in including them in this. Actually I want to see their match in the Manchester Derby first. Because the results they will achieve later will be another consideration whether they are ready for big matches or not.
In start of this season no one was serious about Manchester United's chances for top spot but now after having good results in last few matches things are changing quickly for them specially Ten Haq is doing good work on his defense and attack which are important for having better results, and we can expect positive development from him in this season because their main target is going to be ended in top four with mostly feeling they are now title contender which is not fair because many new players and trying on different strategies are going to take time with it's not easy for any coach and team to done quickly.

Now after having two big wins at home they are going to face Manchester City in big derby match which will give us better how things could be for them in future because if they are able to steal points from this match then surely it's going to be one of the most entertaining season in Premier League history with too many quality teams are going to fight for title.
But even so, at this time we can see the actual condition of MU which still cannot be said to be the toughest challenger. The reason is still the same as before. the depth of their squad is still quite weak when compared to Chelsea, especially for the attack line.
The Manchester derby will be very interesting but I don't know why I seem to be leaning more towards Manchester City in this regard. Despite United's moment of revival now, City are still far superior.
Manchester United is weaker than Chelsea now? Nope. From what I see, Manchester United's squad is slowly forming and playing together as a team under ten Hag. Yes, their attack skill still leaves much to be desired but at least they have directions (Rashford replacement in case of injury, Ronaldo replacement in case he wants to leave the MU permanently, shore up the midfielders,...)

For Chelsea, I don't know. Things seem to went down after the ownership transfer from Abramovich. I can agree that right now, MU won't stand a chance against MC but I still hope for a draw at Old Trafford.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: California sues Amazon, alleging its policies cause higher prices everywhere on: September 23, 2022, 10:51:35 AM
No sympathies here. Companies such as Amazon and Google spend billions of USD every year to manipulate elections in favor of left-wing political parties, and they are now getting sued by the same people whom they helped to elect. I don't understand this logic. How can Amazon influence the prices in other online platforms? I can say with full confidence that the arrival of Amazon helped to lower prices for 99% of the products and to remove the middle-men. I am sure that the current lawsuit was planned by the middle-men who lost their business due to Amazon.
then you find the very same product or another product with similar characteristics for a cheaper price in another platform then it is natural that you are going to buy the cheaper option
What you missing here is this one. People or buyer has a sort of loyal thinking to branding or platform. If they used to get their stuff from a platform, unless it earns their mistrust, they'll keep using it. This is how Amazon has established itself and its position. I really don't get it. Eternal Fire did the same again. On both maps, they started very good against Cloud9. It was a much better start than I expected considering how strong their opponent was. However their performance dropped down too much in the second half of both maps. They couldn't even get one round in the other half on Overpass. How can this happen after they dominated the first half of it and demoralized Cloud9 players a lot?

Suddenly Eternal Fire started to make big mistakes and all the team effort in the first half was gone. This was definitely a matchup that they could have won. They just can't use their potential effectively and they need to work on this seriously. Nothing has finished for them yet. They can still finish the group in top 3 if they win their remaining matches. Their next matchup is against Evil Geniuses and this is a big opportunity for them to boost their morale.
Pic might be related to your question. Stats for the overall match of Eternal Fire and Cloud9.

In my opinion, Eternal Fire did well under ct side but mainly because they were carried hard by xantares with insane K/D of 1.70 overall. But his teammate in Eternal Fire didn't help much, even woxic was underperformance. Once your switch to the t side, the advantage for holding choke points becomes null. Need more teamplay to support and push to a site in which Eternal Fire is lack of right now.

Yeah, xantares is good but the enemy can trade kill or hold crossfire in bomb side or choke points. No matter how good xantares is, he can't do anything about it. As I've said before, CSGO now is more like a team game than ever. Hate to say this but a team builds around xantares without anyone at the same level as him going to end just like Space Soldier back then.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch gambling problem and Sliker issue on: September 23, 2022, 10:18:29 AM
Ok, there are still a full month for those gamblers to finish and wrap everything up because the full hands of rule or shall we say the pressure that Twitch has been gotten in the last couple of months force them to ban all streamers that post related gambling content.

Is it a win for anti-gamblers out there? maybe but we all know that they will continue to do so, regardless of which social media platform they are going to promote.
Yeah. I don't understand why people feel like Twitch is only option out there. I know that Dlive is doing good now and it allows gambling streaming. And it has Blockchain integration which is awesome.
I feel like many anti-gambling people suggest, Twitch is filled with kids so gambling is dangerous for them etc but I think they could just do age limit to those streams. I feel like Twitch can't handle this issue because of publicity.

Dlive is a good options, although is still small, but for sure, as we have said, streamers will have to find a way and this could give Dlive one of the alternatives for now. Or there could be other apps that will born because of this issue Maybe they will just focus on streaming gambling on their platform. So it's not like anti-gamblers have won the game. It just started, so we will see how far this will go. Twitch might be afraid of the 'cancel' culture, a movement that has been going on from hollywood to any sector in the society.
Maybe Twitch just wants to play safe here. You know how popular Twitch is among teenagers in high school or even kids. Would not be good for their image if you can access gambling content with just a few clicks under the main site. Sure, I'm all for gambling but putting it under ads as 'streaming' near kids is something I found distasteful.

Now, you can argue Twitch allow things like girls wearing skimpy outfit and such but I think it's okay. It's not like I was an angel back when I was a kid, sneak a glance at my dad's playboy mag when he wasn't home. That kind of thing is fine for kids, a bit curious about sex. But gambling? Nah. They're too young for that. Welcome any alternative streaming sites that are more open than Twitch. But even Mixer with Microsoft's backing has gone nowhere, what is the chance for Dlive or any streaming site out there?
154  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Polluters must pay’: UN chief calls for windfall tax on fossil fuel companies on: September 23, 2022, 09:46:40 AM
This can't get anymore retarded. Only a small fraction of the profits end up with companies such as Exxon, Chevron and BP. And these companies provide employment for millions of people around the world. 95% of the profits end up with national governments of oil/gas producing nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Russia, who in turn use these revenues to wage wars in third world nations such as Yemen, Syria and Ukraine.

And by imposing additional taxes on oil companies, these retards are driving prices further up, thereby boosting the profits of fuel exporting countries. I am not surprised with all this. In general, human IQ seems to be on a downward slide since the end of WW2.
It seems like an attempt to justify or give fossil fuel companies a good reason to raise their price. I don't know, called myself a paranoid or conspiracy theory follower but I always thought the green party have some agenda not as green as they said.

They have to realize that only developed countries could afford green solutions, to quickly replace the traditional source of energy from fossil fuels with renewable energy or 'green'. For developing countries, renewable energy is very tricky and requires a huge amount of initial capital to build along with electricity infrastructure. This is why even countries like China or some developed countries still use coal for the winter. Or in the EU zone with natural gas. Stupid shit like this going to hurt developing countries because it made them pay more for electricity, lower human living standards in those countries. And in turn,  foods or manufacturing goods that to export to developed countries going to scale up the price.

F!ck this.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 23, 2022, 09:38:33 AM
The transition is very natural because after their golden era a few seasons ago, they still haven't been able to lift their form and now is a good opportunity. With Xavi as an interpreter at Barcelona, accompanied by some great players there, it is clear that this can be a barrier for Madrid.
Even though Madrid can still win, the odds are now about the competition getting tougher than last season.

The transition is amazing and good for Barcelona. Xavi has shown to us that he is truly a legend of Barcelona. He is also a good manager, amidst financial crisis rumours, he was able to get one of the best signings in the transfer window and still managing the players while some are receiving pay cuts.

Barcelona is ready and fit to compete for the title and they have always been strong contenders apart from last season that they had some problems. The players chemistry has improved so much aswell.
Back then, there were a lot of rumors regarding of the financial burden that wasn't good for Barcelona's reputation. Lot of media sensation news about that topic that even I've some doubt about Barcelona's future and upcoming performance in the La Liga season. But somehow, all got sorted out and now Barcelona club has a very bright future this season. And not just La Liga but also in the Champion League. Have to give credit to Xavi and his keenness in choosing which players are the best for Barcelona's playstyle and strats.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 23, 2022, 09:14:09 AM
Tottenham is indeed a good team, with their performance in the premiere league if care is not tsken they may become the end of Arsenal even as Arsenal have played great football this season, but even at that we can't guarantee their steady winning as they face stronger teams.
I think Arsenal have played just one strong team which is Manchester united and they didn't perform well in the match, they lose to Manchester united, Arsenal performance this season is really nice but I think Arsenal will not continue to win as they keep on meeting with the big teams, Tottenham won't want to lose the match against Arsenal, their performance is also nice this season, if Arsenal lose the match they will be dropping from their first position which I believe they won't want that to happen, so they will want to do everything possible to win the match, it will be a tough match between the both team.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are good teams and are doing very well this season. But I trust Tottenham team to do well more than Arsenal on the long run. I don't know why I believe so, but with how both teams are playing, I am seeing much more resistance in Tottenham than Arsenal.

For instance, if Tottenham is going to play Manchester City, there is every possiblity that Tottenham can get a win from Manchester City. But for Arsenal I wouldn't be sure because they find it difficult to win big teams. The journey just started, let's see how it will go.
Huh I think so far, Arsenal did better than Tottenham. Sure, Arsenal lose to Manchester United but this comes from when Manchester United improved their form after a short hiccup at the early of the League season. While Tottenham was able to draw Chealse but Chealse was at their low point too.
If both clubs meet Manchester City, I don't think any of these two fares better. They're both even at each other, as you said. But I think Arsenal has better momentum here, they have slowly outdone everyone's expectation for them (which is very low at the beginning of the 2022/2023 season).

Well it might affect Astralis's performance but not to some degree I believe
if they start showing good cs while k0nfig is sidelined then it's very likely he will be benched indefinitely. He's too inconsistent, although, the same can be said about the rest of asstralis

?? dota qualifiers are finished?

me:
I'd also have the same reaction and am just glad that it's finally over after so many upsets happen between each region.  Cheesy

I'll be going with the first two favs in group D, Cloud9 should cruise against EG and I just hope FURIA doesn't disappoint or start slow since whenever I bet on them they somehow perform worse.

https://i.imgur.com/H7ahGa7.png
is that a combo? odds around 1.6 i think, easy money 👍 FURIA at 1.4 against Eternal Trash was too generous

I decided to sit back today and just watch how these teams play in day 1, so far the the favs are killing it so i'll probably back them tomorrow in a parlay
Hehe, we got map 3 inferno, bois. Furia and Eternal Fire are at even with 1-1 right now. Not so much trash or easy wins, you bet. Inferno's going to be fun as both teams are under pressure now. Tho I've watched Furia play in inferno a lot to know their rush is absolutely insane. And their timing is also very weird, caught off guard a lot of pro teams, turn the tide of the games thanks to that, especially in eco or force-buy rounds. Eternal Fire is going to be under fire in map inferno here, literally.

We had passed to 2/3 of the Sep and still cant shake off the grim outlook from the FED's rate hike which will be announced on 21 Sep. Yep, the crypto market will rise in Sep but maybe next year, not this year lol. I just want to see BTC hover back to $20k price range since it was best to do future trade from that. Just like back when it was hovering around the $30k range, day up, day down.
No hope for BTC right now or in short term as FED wants to push the rate to close to 3.5, imagine what kind of price BTC stands at that rate? Yeah, no good at all.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 20, 2022, 09:41:48 AM

If Manchester city continue using their new tactics in this season to play Tottenham and Arsenal in their next matches, no doubt they will win because Manchester city strikers has showcased many signs that they are still in good position to win this premier league title. If Arsenal could not defeat Manchester united in their last match, showed that it will be difficult for them to defeat Manchester city in this tournament, because Manchester city is more stronger than Manchester united in this season. Tottenham are still lacking in the area of defense which will be one of the advantage Manchester city will use to achieve victory from Tottenham in their next match.

Arsenal's team is not weak. They didn't win against Manchester United, so it's foolish to think they'll lose against Manchester City. But Manchester City's players are in the form they are now, against any team they are very difficult to beat. However, Manchester City has several important matches in the coming months. Manchester City has to win all the matches if they want to be at the top of the points table. If Haaland does not face injury, I think we will see a good performance from Manchester City in every match. I'm looking forward to Manchester City vs United on 2nd October. Hope the match will be competitive.
Arsenal lost to Manchester United in the home field Old Trafford of MU. Arsenal is noway in the low tier, easily push over even for Manchester City especially the match between the two will be held in Emirates Stadium, Arsenal's home field while Manchester City is the guess.

Expect strong pressure from the Arsenal fans there for the MC. Haaland is indeed the key player for MC and right now, he's treated like glass, 'handle with care' as he backed to Norway for the national team in the World Cup. Say, any injury to Haaland or lower his normal performance will give Arsenal the edge over the upcoming match with MC in early next month.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 20, 2022, 09:15:39 AM
On sportbooks, I have noticed some odds lower than 1.1. I definitely know that if people are not going for such low odds, bookmakers would stop adding such low odds. Even 1.08 is still better (understand me correctly, I am not saying it is better), I have noticed odds like 1.02 and 1.01. On in-play (live matches), I have even noticed 1.001 up to 1.005 to be included. Why are people going for these kinds of low odds?

Assuming I have $10 to bet with this week, going for 1.02 odd, the profit is $0.2. That means I have to bet 50 times of the same 1.02 odds to get $10 in return. But my $10 betting fund which I could lose in just a single bet. Is it worth it?

I am thinking it does not worth it at all. Why are some people going for non valued bet of such low odds? It would only encourage them to increase the amount of money they stake on a bet and yet losing it at once is possible. Not a good strategy at all.

What is your opinion?

I have to agree that they are really not worth placing a bet on and for the risk involved I don't think even considering 1.05x payouts to be worthwhile either. I have actually seen several (in a row) bets of the 1.02/1.03 fail to win, so they are not guaranteed by any means. You also have to remember that most sportbooks will add in a buffer amount, so in reality the sportbook sees these bets as worth simply 1x or slightly less. Unless you have the facilities to really do mass and large scale arbitrage betting, you'd be better off avoiding this type of bet altogether because it will take you such a long time to pay off and just one miscalculation can wipe out a fifty successful bets that happened previous.y
Yes, it doesn't always mean low odds like 1.0x 100% to win. Sometimes, one team might be so popular while the other relative unknown/untested so everyone bets on the popular one, leaving that kind of odd. Still, in certain games, pass certain thresholds in a match, and the chance for a comeback is extremely low which make those low odd rate bet seems attractive to stack your fund for easily ~5% of returning.

Of course, bookmarkers ain't stupid. They also placed in criteria to close the bet sooner but not for every game. Look at Welsh's comment. Some do profit from a rare instance like that.
