141  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 20, 2013, 10:53:38 PM
I'm not saying all this to push the price or anything, just stating my completely honest opinion.
I'm balls deep invested in LC and I believe it might turn out to be the best investment I have made in my entire life, right next to getting invested in bitcoin in the first place.

I, too, believe this.
142  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 20, 2013, 10:48:16 PM
In January 2013 BTC prices..you do the math.

The return is astronomical.

How likely is it that an event like that is going to happen again? I'm sure most people at AM's IPO saw vast potential, just as the folks here see in Labcoin, ActM, etc., but I'm wondering - are we on the tip of the iceberg or has the time for 40-50x IPO pricing simply gone with AM? I can't imagine that's the case. The potential market for bitcoin is just too immense for there to be one mining company capable of returns like that.

Exciting times.

With IPO prices as low as Labcoin's or AMC's, 100x is feasible.

Ok. Will someone please crush my dreams and explain to me why this isn't going to actually happen?

Well. AM benefited from two multipliers, the price of bitcoin and the price of their shares. Labcoin and AMC will only have the price of their shares. I don't think Bitcoin will be worth $1k anytime soon. If/when they deliver, the fact that they started IPO 100x cheaper than AM will play a factor. Its really up to the psychology of the investors how high the price will go. If Labcoin start paying out 0.001BTC a week, I won't be surprised at all if they hit 0.1BTC a share.

0.001BTC a week for labcoin is equivalent to 0.025BTC a week for AM. That's 10k BTC a week divided by the numbers of shares.
143  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 20, 2013, 09:16:56 PM
what was asic miners starting price?

Something like 0.65/share, I think.
That was when it was introduced to the pass-throughs. It was 0.1btc/share at its IPO.

Ah, didn't know that - thanks!

In January 2013 BTC prices..you do the math.

BUBBLE

AMAZING COMPANY
145  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 20, 2013, 05:34:31 PM
You know what's really funny: go to btct.co and watch the labcoin shares movement. It's minutes without any trade... then someone comes here and screams BUBBLE!! And you start seeing lots of SELL SELL SELL.

Than 30 mins later... nothing happening.

Then someone comes and says Oh, this company is really solid.. and BUY BUY BUY.

If anyone wants to make some quick BTC, this is a quick guide:

1) Sell your shares
2) Come here and write BUUUBLLE
3) Buy back your shares at lower price
4) Come here and say "Amazing company"

Repeat steps 1 to 4 as much as you can.

Great guide I already made millions with these simple steps. Spectaculars hate him!

Lets do that, 10x is minimum Smiley

Apparently a lot of buyers agree.

You guys waiting for the 0.0016 shares missed your chance 2 days ago. The train is gone.

Some people just mad they missed the train but there is hope. The train haven't fully left the station yet. They can still jump on or convince themselves this is scam and will never work. Makes no difference to me.

UPDATE:

Just talked to Sam and while exact dates are still to be received from foundry/fabrication here are the latest news:

- The first run of chips are expected to arrive within a week. This is a 2500 chip run and Labcoin expects at least 2000 chips to be of "production quality".
- From these chips some will be send to DYI projects and parties that have expressed interest in volume orders from the coming serial production run.

- PCB/Components for miners are expected to arrive shortly (a few days) after chips. To speed up miner production the PCB has not been tested prior to order but thorough simulations have been ran and Labcoin does not expect any issues with the PCB. SHOULD a problem arise Labcoin expects less than 1 week until new PCB can be produced, so even a worst case scenario has functioning PCB in-hand in about 2 weeks.

- The first run of chips will be built into miners immediately and Labcoin expects to be live and hashing @ around 6TH within the next 3-4 weeks.

- First serial production run will be ordered shortly after arrival of first-run chips and Labcoin expects serial production run of chips to arrive mid-late September (50TH+ for Labcoin mining operation and larger quantities of chips for DIY projects and mining operation customers).
- We will contact mining operations/DYI projects that have already gotten in touch with us shortly for addresses for sample chips. If you own a mining operation or similar company and wish to order chips from the first serial production run you can contact Labcoin at: sam.noi@labcoin.com - I will post bulk pricing and chip order run sizes as I get the information from Sam.

- Labcoin is currently expecting the full 1st stage of the mining operation roll-out to reach 50TH or more during mid to late October.
- More exact dates, chip speeds, pictures of chips, PCB schematics etc. will be posted as Sam receives this information from foundry and miner builders.
- I have personally requested sample chips and miner to be sent to me so that I can 'review' it for the forum. More info on this shortly.
- Labcoin has not forgotten about Fabrizio and Developers doing Q/A sessions and the other issues brought to our attention, but currently focus is on time-to-market and all available personnel is 100% committed to a successful mining operation.

- The Labcoin.com website will also be updated shortly and the new design will include real-time statistics of mining operation where visitors can follow miner deployment and hashing speed of the mining operation. More on this later.

TLDR; Things are going as planned with no delays as of yet. Labcoin expects to hash at approx 6TH within 3-4 weeks and 50TH+ by mid to late October. Serial production run of chips will start early Sept. Pictures of chips, schematics and miners etc. will be posted as they become available. Website is undergoing redesign and will feature a real-time mining statistic as soon as the mining operation goes live.

For those who missed it.
148  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 19, 2013, 11:47:39 PM
I'm sorry current BTC price they equate to $1.20/share without hardware sales, with hardware sales I guess $2-3/share dividends which seems like utter bullshit.

I guess you missed the part where it says "Dividend Per Share Per Year". That works out to 0.00019231 BTC per week. Why does that seem like utter bullshit?

I guess you also missed the fact that those numbers are not official and are just one persons guess.

Yes still works out to $1/Share per year, wtf are you even trying to argue? It seems like Utter bullshit because the rate of return is insanely high. For my 4K invested I will get $20K net profit, and that's without hardware sales, add hardware sales and double that to $2/share.

That means I will make 10X my initial investment and rack in $40,000 this is all at 10% of course.

Asicminer IPO was 0.1BTC at a time when BTC was $20~/1BTC. If you buy $10k worth of shares at those prices you'll end up with 5k shares. You'd be a millionaire right now.
149  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 19, 2013, 11:18:58 PM

Johny if you don't like the numbers than just move on to KNC or something. No one is forcing you to spend $4k on it and I don't think anyone wants to convince you to either. Its your money, do whatever you want it.

If you want my opinion, I think its better to compare Labcoin to Asicminer. They will pay dividends from both mining and hardware sales. I still think labcoin is a good buy but no one knows for sure. There is always uncertainty. If you want something that is a sure thing buy asicminer. They pay dividends every Wednesday.

Don't care about dividends care about the best value for my money. For $4k I can get KncMiner 200GH here for the same price you get about 70GH. Yet people come and spew bullshit out of their mouths, pretending like LabCoin is so much cheaper. Knc is $20/gh while LabCoin is $2/GH. Scroll up a few more posts where you'll see a person tell me I can get 2TH for $4,000.

People don't even know what the fuck they are buying and TheSwede won't clarify anything to his potential and current investors, they want people to be confused, so when they don't ROI in over 10 years, it will be too late.

I already made my ROI on share prices alone. I think it will spike again once they start dividends and one more time when they have 50GH online. Even if it fails I'm ok with it because I'm willing to lose any money I put into BTC. I'm not quitting my day job any time soon.

doesn't matter going by their numbers at 10% You'll make about $1/Share

Over what time frame? You wont make anywhere near 1 USD/share from a single dividend payout. You'll make that easily from selling IPO shares though. 1 USD is about 0.01 BTC and the share price will easily surpass that.

I was going by their numbers that they posted in the OP, I guess they are all bullshit lol

You'll have to quote them then as I see no such numbers in the original post.

Either he's a grade A troll or he's just misinformed.

LOL, what are you smoking that makes you think that this was a bullshit update? Crack? Meth?

Is this the 5 o'clock free crack giveaway?

154  Economy / Securities / Re: Amethyst - The billion dollar Idea - 3btc a share. on: August 18, 2013, 09:51:40 PM
Just to add to what I said, although it's quite a funny idea over here, restricting market cap to less than some percentage of 21mil Bitcoins makes the most sense with mining operations, but not so much with other forms of business.

It's not easy for a company to earn the entire Bitcoin market cap, but it is possible for a service that, say, brings Bitcoins back and forth to earn a lifetime profit of more than the total number of Bitcoinss, justifying a >BTC21mil  valuation.

A good example would just be Bitcoin exchanges; about BTC0.005 out of of each BTC1 is sucked by MtGox, so it only takes all BTC21mil to go through 200 times to get a total revenue of BTC21mil, maybe many times that to make BTC21mil profit. Not to say it will earn that many BTC, just that it's possible.

Of course, that kind of market cap somewhat dips into a system based on credit, so it might be considered undesirable given Bitcoin's philosophy, but it's entirely possible.

Of course its possible, its happening!!

Amethyst shareholders got a HUGE dividend today. 1BTC a share. They must have completed their corporate takeover of Disney. Now we have complete control of the new starwars movie

Looks like we are missing 1 share.

1 share unaccounted for? That's price manipulation, I'm out! Selling my 100000000 shares @ market price.

ltc-global is probably one of the riskiest assets to buy atm -

Hi superduh,

Care to elaborate?

well, most of the mining stocks (not all) are just silly and may never reach ROI - they are for "gamblers"

i like burnside and his sites and he seems like a good chap - so far he seems to have done things more or less correctly
the biggest threat for ltc-global is of course---- legal aspects (security as well) - and what they may have to do in the future regarding compliance  - since this currently is a big unknown hence the risk - (risk = unknown factor) - that's all

Thanks superduh, thats an interesting take I guess from that perspective since the risk can't be filly quantified you might be right. I still think that its still a good asset to hold. We gain voting power and will receive dividends from high trade volume.

Worst case for ltc-global. Bitcoin is illegal and America sends the CIA to shut burnside down and declare war on bitcoin.

UPDATE: sorry for the silence as of late. This week has been very busy for the entire Labcoin team and I haven't even talked to Sam until tonight. There will be an update on quite a few things coming Monday so stay tuned. I am expecting both Sam, Fabrizio and the a developers to have quite a few things to communicate.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Smiley Can't wait

I ran a simulation over future difficulties for my own amusement (yeah, I'm like that) and this is the result. The future hashrate is just extrapolated assuming exponential growth.
In the four scenarios the network hashrate increases by 1.4%, 1.7%, 2.0% and 2.3% per day respectively.

Prepare for maybe 1-3 PH/s by the end of october! Difficulty around 500 million.

Discuss.

Pretty much what I was expecting. I think between 1.7%-2% a day will get us close to end of the year numbers. Don't quote me on this!

Smidge.Com Weekly Snapshot

Quick Summary:

An interesting week lies behind us, with the market in downward motion. This time again, we managed to finish stronger than the DCX index which is down 5.3%, our NAV is down by 3.41% only. Fund size is down by 5.04% because of a single 7.5 BTC share buyback. Investor confidence is still very strong. We are still in the middle of building up assets from our large growth of the last weeks and made another key investment.

The IPO plans and fund restructuring (shares/legal setup) for September are slowly approaching the final stages of discussion. Even if there won't be many news in the next two weeks about this, please bear with us and prepare for an interesting September. We are operating as normal during this phase, as you can see. We still have approvals from all three exchanges to IPO as soon as we are ready for it.

Balance Sheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgLGW6ARhmFLdDVyLUFPYjBHX0FIWWxXTy1Bc09uaVE&usp=sharing (Please note that the format is not final, still tweaking a few things here and there. Columns "E" and "I" are hidden for a clearer view.)

Comments:

  • We made another key investment, this time in LTC-GLOBAL. We acquired 10 shares for two reasons, 1) voting rights and 2) the trade volume growth is very attractive on the exchanges. We had a nice increase on the stock price since our buy date
  • ASICMINER especially had some ups and downs this week, finishing stronger. This was mainly due to funds from the (forced) selling of BTCGARDEN that were freed and had to be reinvested
  • Ciphermine's share price took a hit this week because of hardware shipping issues (Avalon). LTC/BTC is still not helping, with BTC/USD on the rise. We consider both to be small bumps in the road, with benefits unfolding soon
  • Management fee from this week has been fully reinvested, just like last week
  • Please note that dividends per share are still quite low and will be reinvested before IPO, this is due to the reason that we did not invest all of the additional coins. As discussed previously, we will not invest in just anything because excess coins are available
  • Received 0.15 BTC in tips Smiley We sure like the constant stream of tips! If you want to keep it up, pls send BTC to 1LdrfoivfyMw8SdnfVefYAvVfSGxSPSVpS

Again, I would like to thank everyone for the great support, criticism and questions that we received. As an investor, I know very well that new assets are not easily trusted. I hope to be able to meet everyone's expectations in the long run!

(Please note that this Snapshot was posted one day earlier, as I will be on a one week business trip starting today. Daily operations will continue as normal, with a slight delay in response time to e-mails from myself.)

Great update. I especially like the LTC-GLOBAL shares.
159  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] IPO Details for BTC-GROWTH on: August 15, 2013, 05:43:38 PM
BTCT.co moderators are in no way official/trusted by the exchange. They are merely shareholders of the exchange.

The host IP being the same for btcgrowth.com as the other websites is the best proof of identity available currently, as far as I'm concerned.

My point about demonstrating my identity to the exchange or to forum admins was merely that I do not wish to respond to a potential mass of up to 130,000 separate requests from every user on the forum who wants to know whether it's really me because they don't want to take anyone else's word for it. I'm happy to do it a few times as required to establish that it's really me here on the forum, or really me on the exchange, but ad hoc arrangements for each individual who asks? Definitely not.

You can ask John K. as far as trust goes he's the most trusted person IMO.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=31288

He does escrow for us but I'd trust him to verify your identity.
