Do you think guys that the current dump in ethereum price will affect the ICO? Many people prefer to stop trading and investing while prices are fluctuating.
I think yes because the cap is fixed at 12m$ and with a lower eth price, everyone will be able to put more of their ETH. So the sale will take maybe longer to end

If quantum computing is successfully developed, it wouldn't just affect cryptocurrency. Many kinds of SSL/encrypted communications will be easily broken, compromising private sector/government/personal information..
That's why we will have new encrypted protocols that will resist to quantum computers (maybe this already exists). I don't know if make a fork to a quantum resistant algo would be useful as we already have our public keys recorded on sha256 blockchain, so that means we will have to switch on another currency. Anyway we're still far of that but it's quite sure in the next 20 years quantum computing will be a relevant question to solve. To switch on another currency, maybe the best way would be to make an airdrop like byteball, where you link your address to another on the new coin, by this way there is no ico, and everyone will get the same % of coins he had before on bitcoin network. Distribution shouldn't be limited on time so even if you come 5 years late, you'll still can claim your % of coins based your bitcoin address. Only one distribution per address of course Anyway that's sure one day an altcoin will come with the argument "quantum resistant" and will have a great success Let's just hope distribution will not be done by mining or ICOs

Thanks for this reminder, I hope this will help some people. I hope that will happen like when ETH and ETC forked, Bittrex gave us the same amount of ETH and ETC if we had our ETH on the exchange. But that's only the decision of the exchange, they can decide to keep the coins too (I don't think this would give a good reputation for the exchange that would do that anyway ).

hi dev what is price coindash when crowdsale
Hello, with some maths you can estimate the price at the crowdsale. Of course, it will have to be updated when the crowdsale will happen, but with current price, one token will cost 0,024$ or 0,000119 ETH or 0,00001011 BTC. It's based on 500m token sold with a market cap of 12m$.

After bitcoin bubble in late 2013, we had a correction during one year, a correction can last but anyway, if you want to sell, don't sell in a red day like today Wait until it becomes green again. It always become green after a dump like this one

Every coin gets its value from confidence in the system, whatever that the coin got an ICO, is minable or is airdropped. So in fact, it's the same system than others coin : an active dev team and a good communication, with a good project that progress often will do everything

That's why the last time I tried to use Mist, I gave up because it was taking ages to sync Anyway this will become really hard in some years to keep alive a node And it will increase day by day,a lot of ICOs based on ETH ,this will be a big problem. I often use web wallet instead, so it's ok to me . So what will you do if the web wallet goes the way of Mt Gox or Cryptsy and you lose everything? I guess he uses MEW so that's okay.

I am thinking of maybe putting some profits into Tether to "secure" them, but do they have a wallet for Tether, or how are you supposed to store them? I see they have some sort of mobile app, is that the wallet? Most people I have talked to does not recommend mobile wallets?
you have to download and run Omni Core Wallet. It's a clone of Bitcoin QT that supports all Omni protocol coins if which Tether is. Omni is to Bitcoin what a token is to Ethereum. I've heard somewhere Tether was centralized, so with this wallet, it's not, right ? What are the risks to store our money in Tether ? Omni needs to download the whole bitcoin blockchain or not ? I'm really interested to tether to store some dollars I don't want to put back in the bank, but I feel completely noob with this altcoin

What I feel as a scam in ICO is when a ICO asks thousands of millions for just an idea. Not every ICO are scam but some of them are risky to invest. More the risk is important, more the profits (or the loss) can be important.
In fact a coin released without an ICO can be a scam too, I've already seen that, so scam are not only made with ICOs.

We will have to be on time to be the first to buy, but I'm a bit afraid to see another network overload On the website we currently don't have any information about how the ICO will be done. Let's hope we will have not only one currency choice
