Apparently Larry Strawson is also cheating people on eBay, selling counterfeit or fake items and passing them off as genuine gold coins

buglebarn in eBay Copyright Theft
buglebarn [Larry Strawson] of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, stole our 1999 Tenth Ounce Canadian Gold Maple Reverse Photograph to use on eBay, without permission to try sell his own coin. Totally dishonest.
He failed to state or warn potential buyers that the superb condition gold proof coin in our high quality photograph was not the coin you would receive. This is deception.
Image theft is endemic on eBay, and most sellers appear not to care whether their buyers are deceived.

What's Wrong?
It is always possible, even likely, that sellers who steal photographs do not own a similar coin, and have the intention to totally defraud potential buyers.
The vendor [Larry Strawson] is not only cheating us by stealing our copyright images, he is fraudulently or ignorantly misleading and deceiving all potential buyers. Gaining pecuniary advantage by deception is the definition of fraud.

Craig, can you please write a post describing who cheated you of the money and how much exactly (in $ amount).   Please ensure to use his full name.

I want to compile the list of people who were cheated by Larry Strawson into this thread.

Bad luck is one thing.  How about not responding?  That is intentional.

Heya folks, I have been involved in another group buy that Larry Soniq organized and he scammed us too. If there is legal action being taken, I sure would like to be included. Or if anyone lives in Alberta, I'll chip in to throw him a beatdown. Just sayin'...

Well did anyone try calling him yet?

How much BTC we talking about? Did he pull the same stunt as he did here?
145  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: June 24, 2014, 01:48:38 AM
Actually Larry Strawson refused my request to refund.

Hi

I already purchased the hardware.  Refunds in OP are for non delivery of Terraminer IV or before hardware is purchased.

You can sell the shares pretty easily I think.

Cheers

Whenever we refer to Soniq, we should use his real name so this thread comes up high on google for anyone searching for him.  We don't want anyone else to be defrauded by Larry.

Total money received by soniq, over 171 BTC.   Also there is still 4 BTC in his wallet

https://blockchain.info/address/15QU4HBzV7wKiQ9z8jgUi4yA1Xng5S7xV6

So I guess the total that was sent to him was $29,995 for the 5 cointerra units?  Or am I mistaken?  Maybe the first ones were more expensive at $10k each?  Someone please help

I wanted to let you guys now Larry is still alive and on the internet.  He is just choosing to ignore us.

Here is a video card he sold 3 days ago.

I contacted him on ebay.  Feel free to do the same.  We need to let him know that this is important to us and we will not accept him holding our funds hostage

Dawie,  I'm not convinced law firm is the way to go.  We don't even have a written signed contract.  How would you expect a forum post to be used as a basis for suing someone?   They will gladly take your money and get nowhere fast.

Guys.  I have been defrauded of $1000 of my hard earned money by Larry Strawson.  The money may be gone,  but our dignity is not.  This is not over yet.  If you want to do something join us and let us not let this person get away with this blatant fraud.  Did we ask for anything unreasonable? No.  We only wanted our share of the units that we paid for.

Next step will be to summarize how much money Larry Strawson collected in total and cheated the community out of.

Anyone have this information?

Next,  we need some photos identifying the individual that defrauded us (Larry Strawson).

Once this information is ready we can go ahead and publish it on a site with everyone's comments about how they were also cheated.  Hopefully we can get some local Winnipeg news media to cover this story.  I also have some relatives in Winnipeg I may be able to convince them to give him a visit but we need his mailing Sad address.  Maybe from one of his domains?

This will serve as a warning for anyone who decides to do business with Larry in the future, and as an embarrassment to him.

I've asked Danny Hamilton who managed Larry's escrow to release his contact info:

Thank you Dawie!

Where could at get without a legally binding agreement even with a law firm?  Nowhere.
154  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: June 22, 2014, 12:02:53 AM
Let's see if we can get a mailing address and send him a letter.
155  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: June 21, 2014, 03:35:01 AM
Can everyone who has been defrauded please email him?  There are several thousand dollars gone.  We cannot let him walk all over us like this and take our money without a fight.

This is only the first step.  Step 2 will be to create a Web page summarizing that LARRY STRAWSON has defrauded us in an online scheme. We will get this page ad good SEO as possible for potential employers to see.
If possible we will even get the press and media involved.

this is not over until we get our refunds!

Larry.  Just to let you know. This is wrong.  You may get away with this but realize that cheating others and defraud in honest hardworking people will not get you very far in life.  Eventually it will catch up with you and you will pay for your crimes.
156  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: June 20, 2014, 02:15:36 PM
Does anyone have Larry's address and phone number?  I'd like to give him a call

You know what's even more overpriced? Loser companies that don't ship.

Agreed.  Even $0.01/GH is overpriced when it doesnt ship

Because i'm satisfied with Spondoolies-Tech, from my last order i orderd 2 devices extra SP10 Dawsons directly that is service. All the rest is not competative look at Bitmain to hight prices, and to high wattage of the machines...I hash 1.48 TH/sec for 1108 watt exactly for one device!  Bitmain S2 uses 1 TH/sec for 1100 watts? Who is competative...

How's the noise level on that?

You're right, ignoring the fact that SP is actually offering preorders and promises and the fact that their in stock hw is way overpriced. Even bitmain is overpriced now that they stopped lowering the price.

What do you consider overpriced (in terms of $/GH)?

Anything more than this:

http://shop.rockminer.com/goods.php?id=35

Are they shipping now?  Did I understand correctly, 2BTC for 1.2TH? (So basically around $1/gh) ?
