141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: May 14, 2014, 01:20:49 PM
Is the YouTube ad still running and are they still accepting donations?
142  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quit smoking on: May 14, 2014, 01:03:35 PM
I was a moderate smoker for years, i tried to quit with no lasting results. If you don't buy cigarettes, you will end up in bothering friends for random cig.
I tried to hang out mainly with non smokers, this helped me a bit, but wasn't enough.
At the end i tried E-cig. and that was the solution for me.

Now it's more than two years that i don't touch normal cigarette; vaping is 100 times better.
Yes, u still assume nicotine, but in this way u skip all the far more dangerous substances produced by combustion.

imaho it's worth to give a try  Wink

I've tried e-cigarettes but they make my troath hurt. A big plus to e-cigs is that the refills are really cheap but I can't stand the feeling in my troath.
143  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much you have BTC??? on: May 14, 2014, 01:01:59 PM
I have half a bitcoin at the moment. I like to spend my coins to promote bitcoin Smiley
144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The price is going low on: May 14, 2014, 12:45:49 PM
I for sure except the bitcoin price to rise long term. In short term it will be slightly volatile but we are for sure seeing that the price is stabilising. This is a good thing for bitcoin.
145  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kraken.com a scam? on: May 14, 2014, 12:38:13 PM
Has anyone recently signed up and verified past the scanned documents level?  I'm wondering how long it took.  It's only been 24 hours but I sort of thought it was be a 10 minute process for someone to just look at the scans and check that the info matched.

I think this is the problem for Kraken. They request a lot of information and documents and bitcoin users are adverse to that because then they have to give up their anonimity.
146  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Maurice de Hond: meerderheid Nederlanders is negatief over Bitcoin on: May 14, 2014, 12:35:59 PM
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin Ideal money? on: May 14, 2014, 12:11:32 PM
It's great but not ideal because people will hold onto bitcoins because of its deflationary nature. People will buy and hold and this will somewhat work against the implimentation of Bitcoin.
148  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whats your PIA speed? on: May 14, 2014, 12:09:17 PM
Wow thats crazy that it actually boosts your internet speed instead of slowing it down. I've used PIA but it only maintened my normal internet speed.
149  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Psychiatry's Reign Of Terror on: May 14, 2014, 12:07:43 PM
I haven't watched the video but psychiatry seems almost like a kind of pseudo-science to me. It's also alarming how easy doctors seem to throw anti-depressants at people, especially when they seem to be nothing more than Placebos for depression/anxiety etc and actually tend to do more harm than good.

This. I have experience with psychiatry and it has helped me but they also threw medicines at me, including benzos. It takes about two weeks before they go out of your system completly and the withdrawal was hell. Luckily it get better everyday after two weeks.

No but I do experience lucid dreaming which can be very fun. This means you can control your own dream.

152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese banks suspend Bitcoin trade on: May 14, 2014, 10:57:42 AM
China's exit is a good thing for the whole bitcoin world!

Please explain? Would'nt the Chinese be putting in money into Bitcoin and thus raising the value of your own bitcoin?
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you spend bitcoin if you do not earn bitcoin? on: May 14, 2014, 10:08:56 AM
It is a small negative for Bitcoin spending that it deflates. In this scenario your best strategy is to buy and hold onto the Bitcoins. However if merchants bid you a good service and you want it bad you will spend your Bitcoins anyway. So its up to the businesses to give you an incentive to spend bitcoin. One of the many reason I use Bitcoin to spend anyway is because its semi-anonymous and you get really fast payments.

160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 13, 2014, 10:08:10 AM
I use BTC-E, Cryptsy, LocalBitcoins and VirWox. They all have their own plusses, although the rates at VirWox to exchange are very high. They are the only one to accept PaySafeCard and Ukash though.
