Futourist is holding Crowdsale Community Competitons (bounty programs) between January 15th, 2018 and March 15th, 2018. At its core Futourist is about recognizing community effort and rewarding them accordingly. And since we're developing a rewarding platform, we'll be using it for bounty Competitions as well. Competitions are fully hosted on the Futourist webpage:


For this purpose we have allocated 5,000,000 FTR tokens (0.5% total token supply) to be delivered to all eligible competitors soon after the Competitions end.

Claiming rewards after the crowdsale

• Check the amount of earned tokens and press “Claim” button
• Enter your Wallet address and press “Transfer”
• Wait for the process to complete

25% (1,250,000 FTR) of the total bounty token pool will be allocated to the Blog & Forum Competition. All posts will be reviewed by our staff and graded. The rewards here are absolute (FTR tokens, not stakes) and depend on your post's quality.

Rules

• Links to the posts shall be submitted to futourist.io/compete
• Blog or forum post must contain at least 1000 characters
• Post needs to include at least two links to futourist.io/ico
• Posts need to include at least one image from our portfolio
• Post needs to be unique and not automatically translated from any existing content
• Posts can be written in any language
• Posts can be posted to any blog platform or forum (e.g. Medium, Reddit, Steemit, WordPress, ...)
• Link to your post must be submitted to appropriate field on futourist.io/compete

• Not approved (scams, fakes) - 0 FTR
• Good post - 2,000 FTR
• Great post - 6,000 FTR

We will close the Blog & Forum Competition once all the tokens allocated for this Competition are spent. We will be reviewing new posts on a daily basis.

Telegram Competition  LIVE NOW

10% (500,000 FTR) of the total bounty token pool will be allocated to the Telegram Competition.
Telegram Competition is suitable for anyone who wants to join our Telegram, ask questions and follow realtime chat about Futourist. The rewards for this Competition are absolute (FTR tokens, not stakes).

Rules

• Join our Telegram chat
• Register at futourist.io/compete and join the Telegram Competition
• Submit your Telegram username to futourist.io/compete/telegram
• You must stay subscribed to our Telegram channel at least until the end of the Competition
• Token reward pool will be distributed among all eligible entrants of the Telegram Competition, soon after the end of the Competition period.

Rewards

• 300 FTR per eligable Telegram account

We will close the Telegram Competition once all the tokens allocated for this Competition are spent.

• Newsletter signup is available during registration at futourist.io/compete
• Futourist will take measures to prevent fake email subscriptions, methods we’ll use will not be publicly announced
• Fake, double, or invalid email addresses will be excluded from the competition
• Token reward pool will be distributed among all valid competitors, soon after the end of the Competition period, proportionally to the total stakes they collected

Signature Competition  COMING SOON

15% (750,000 FTR) of the total bounty token pool will be allocated to the Signature Competition. Participating in the Signature Competiton requires you to change your Bitcointalk profile signature.

Rules

• You need to post from 10 to 50 new Bitcointalk posts during a single week to get stakes for that week
• Submitted posts must be meaningful, constructive, on-topic and must contain 40 words or more, replies should be 15 words long or more
• Signature must be visible and stay unchanged throughout the Competition period
• Stakes for this Competition will be assigned at the end of every week during the Competion period
• Weeks have the same weight (Week 1 is no different from Week 2 and so on)
• The final amount of competitor's stakes is a simple sum of all weekly stakes
• Token reward pool will be distributed to all valid entrants of the Signature Competition, soon after the end of the Competition period, proportionally to the total stakes they collected.

Why travel reviews?
Because they're one of the most trustworthy and helpful information on the internet. They shape how we see things on a daily basis and most importantly - they're directly related to business revenue. The number of written reviews has reached 500 million on TripAdvisor alone. According to recent statistics, 90% of consumers read online reviews, and 88% of them trust them (source).
Furthermore, 89% of consumers say they read more than 2 reviews (source).

Travel review industry is big and hasn't been disturbed in a long time. Platforms are failing to embrace new technologies and the whole field is stagnating. On top of rewarding reviewers with tokens, we'll be focusing on video reviews and catering influencers - things no other review platform has successfully exploited.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Futourist is a travel review platform, focusing on video reviews and catering the influencers. On Futourist, you will be able to review anything travel related, anywhere, at any time. From restaurants to accomodation, parks, things to do, transport etc.

Participants in the ecosystem

• Reviewer - is a registered user that provides content (reviews)
• Curator - a registered user that reads the content and uses upvotes to reward his/her preferred reviews or other content (can be a Reviewer as well)
• Consumer - users who do not contribute to the platform but consume information from it
• Business - a company who uses Futourist in order to spread awareness / make direct sales / get other benefits like audience analytics etc.

Contests - core feature

The Futourist platform will reward reviewers for participation in time-limited reviewing contests. Having limited time period contests allows us to distribute tokens in a straight-forward way - after the end of the contest, to all content creators which participated, with a predefined token distribution curve. After the contest ends, all applicable reviews will be sorted by their upvotes and downvotes. Then we're going to use the Pareto principle on these reviews in order to distribute rewards as fairly as possible.

AN EXISTING PRODUCT
Futourist has partnered up with a popular service list site called OpenHours. OpenHours is a platform with over 1 million monthly active users and is present in 21 western countries. It has a huge database of services available in those countries. It has all - service database including existing reviews, established technology infrastructure (several localized web and mobile apps) and the users we can convert. We will use OpenHours for the foundation on top of which we'll build Futourist.

Revenue of content marketing services was worth more than $190 billion in the year 2016 and is expected to be worth more than $313 billion by the year 2019 (source). From early researches it is estimated that almost $31 billion a year of UK consumer spending is potentially influenced by online reviews (source). The market size of online review industry was in the range of $3-7 billion in 2015 in North America alone (source).

At this moment, we do not have a direct competitor that would reward the contributors using blockchain. But these and other platforms do not incentivize their users with meaningful rewards, they did not embrace video content and they do not offer any space to travel influencers.

You don't have to state how much you want to invest, you know that right? It makes no difference once the number is above the exchange minimum deposit... But as for your question.. I like ETH. The ICO's that will survive 2018 might be spending large amounts of ETH for their product operation on the Ethereum platform.

Can someone post their experience with bounties.. how much did you in fact get (in USD please) for how much work?

Everything is possible, but Bitcoin is such a big brand that it's going to be hard for anyone. Since there's more ETH in circulation, having ETH at the same price as BTC would mean BTC's marketcap is much smaller than ETH's - which would then mean that Bitcoin is dead, which would then crash other altcoins as well and the story starts again.. Lesson here: don't bet against BTC.

I don't really understand the question, but I'd stay away from Ripple right now.

Depends on the jurisdiction. In most of them things are still undefined. In my country donations are still in the grey area, since it's hard to separate those from money laundering. Gifts here are taxed anyway, so I'm sure crypto donations will be too.

I guess it depends on the hack.

1. Not every single Altcoin Investor.
2. I think there will be many fails across ICO companies and that may lead to a domino effect. But ICO's are going to continue throughout 2018. With smaller hard caps, with product-oriented ideas, tokens with actual utilities...

For me, Ripple in it's design is nothing special and I don't really understand the current hype. I'd say that Ripple's marketcap should not surpass Ether's.

Well crypto world still represents just a fraction of the whole global monetary system and it's still on a fast rise. Are you late or not? I don't know and it doesn't really matter as long as you educate yourself about crypto and see that at least for another year it will keep growing. So to answer your ultimate question - buy your crypto now.

The fact is that much more often than not, waiting does not pay off. Crypto is on a long-lasting rise and it will continue to stay so for at least months or years, so betting on a drop for save a few satoshis... don't do that unless you're a experienced trader.

Well, I used to be a hater too. I'm thinking crypto promoters promote it as a fair monetary system, but the fact is that crypto has downsides similar to what ponzi schemes have - the earlier you enter, the better it is for you. Which brings us to a non-fair wealth distribution etc...
