141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is for day trading on: April 18, 2018, 04:22:49 AM
I see that people support that altcoin suits better for day trading, and not for holding. I just don't get why.
I too have the same opinion. It is because the price of Alts can be easily manipulated compared to Bitcoin or ETH and holding them for very long doesn't make sense. Also, there are over 1500 coins in existence, and you simply cannot expect each one of them to go higher in price. Also, there are periodic pump and dump cycles which shouldn't be missed and it is best to sell an alt coin whenever it is going through a pump cycle.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ever makes u more money in less time on: April 18, 2018, 04:21:02 AM
I don't think stock markets can even be compared with the cryptocurrency market because it usually takes years for a stock's price to become double, on the other hand it takes only a few days for a crypto's value to double. So the amount of returns you would get from cryptos are nowhere near the returns you would get from stocks. So no comparison between the two.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS or IOTA? on: April 18, 2018, 04:18:17 AM
Given the popularity of both coins, I wouldn't mind investing in both. Both have their own good points and bad points. Also, EOS has been listed in a lot of local exchanges as well so it does have a slight edge when it comes to user penetration. Overall, both coins are equally promising and returns are definite in the long run from both of them.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Boutspro Coin -Only coin in Crypto History for Sports and Karate Community on: April 18, 2018, 04:16:47 AM
I remember seeing this campaign in the bounty list. This was managed by Yahoo and I was quite hopeful for the project. But, one thing where a lot of people cheated was the Airdrop campaign. There were more than 15k people who registered for Airdrop and I bet more than 50% of them were fake. So once the coin was listed online, people obviously started selling it and hence the price has come down. I feel it should improve in the next four months.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which ICO do you consider as the most promising for the year? on: April 18, 2018, 04:15:23 AM
Going by the ratings on the ICOBench, Truegame SRL seem quite promising and have been able to raise quite a bit. It is managed by Sylon and hence good results were expected. The only reason I did not participate in their bounty campaign was that they had only allocated 300k for the bounty participants which is almost nothing. But otherwise the project looks quite promising in the long run.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you choose Altcoin .. ?? on: April 18, 2018, 04:13:58 AM
First I look at the total percentage of stakes for the bounty campaign. If the total stakes are more than 1mn$, only then I participate in it.
After that is done, I look at the allocation for specific campaigns. In case my target is twitter, I look at its allocation and only do it if it is more than 20%. This way, I only end up doing few but good campaigns. Hence, I keep this in mind. Do not just enroll for every bounty campaign out there, only go with the high paying ones.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to ignore scam icos ? on: April 18, 2018, 04:11:27 AM
If you are talking in respect to the bounty campaigns, then you can simply avoid participating in their campaigns so that later on you are not accused of promoting a ponzi scheme. The real challenge lies in identifying such scam campaigns and that needs an eagle eye vision to be done. Over the time when you gain enough experience, you would automatically learn the art of distinguishing scam from a genuine ico.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: With gov't and banks taking up blockchain, what ICO would profit the most? on: April 17, 2018, 08:09:45 PM
This certainly is a very positive move and we have already seen so many countries showing interest to implement this technology in their banking and financial systems. If this somehow happens, then the banking coins like Herotoken and Africunia will definitely see a rise in their prices. Apart from that it would send a positive wave across entire market and we can see almost everything increasing in price.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pundix. next 100x? on: April 17, 2018, 08:02:17 PM
I noticed this exploit of Pundix.
But will it continue?
Does anyone have news about future projects?
the team from pundix plans to buy back at a price between $ 0.0030 to $ 0.0036
Total repurchase of NPXS will be equivalent to 2,000 Ethereum (ETH) and will be launched gradually. The first phase, which will be completed in the coming weeks, will make the company buy NPXS up to 200 ETH. This is the future hope pundix to be better
That is an amazing news for all the Holders of PundiX out there. This is a nice initiative by the company to reward all those users who had held their coins for so long. So rarely do we see such a thing happening. I wish I had participated in their campaign and would have definitely become 100x richer by now.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your worst cryptocurrency investment mistake? on: April 17, 2018, 07:59:23 PM
My biggest mistake was to make my major investments when market was at peak. i had hoped that market would go even stronger from here onwards but it fell directly on its face and my investments are 50% down. This is one major reason why I gave up investing in altcoins because I had invested majorly in them only and now I am trying to recover my money from every way possible.

Tokens are still in your wallet, as long as you have your private keys you still have access to them.
The file where I stored the private keys and the keystone file both have been compromised, hence I do not have access to that address anymore. Please change the address to 0xAb41EBbA9D5c3382051474FF7C3CC1C6E8aff81f

154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: April 12, 2018, 03:50:56 PM
As long as global warming doesn't take up the entire earth and till the time 2012 like scenario doesn't arise, we would see bitcoin. All our future generations would be thankful to us that we became the early adopters of this amazing new technology. I know that 15-20 years down the line, blockchain would be the future and no one would be able to scam the people like they do now. I am very hopeful of this technology on the whole and would back it till the very end.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL? on: April 12, 2018, 03:48:19 PM
I like to sell them immediately and it is because I don't like the fact that the owners of these ICOs play so much with the price of a coin. At one moment the price comes down and the very next moment it reaches an all time high. I don't like such a bearish market and hence I prefer to sell it on the spot. I don't care whether or not it increases in value in future, but I don't want unnecessary panic because of these tokens.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: April 12, 2018, 03:45:34 PM
Depends on your financial goals. If you only want to make little money, want a peaceful life and do not have risk taking capabilities, then go with bounties any day. On the other hand, if you want to make it big and want to take a risk, then go for investment in alts. In case you do not have money right now, you can always save the money you receive through bounty campaigns and use them for investment later on.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO investment Risk on: April 11, 2018, 11:53:36 AM
Since you are just working in bounty so at maximum only your effort can get wasted. On the other hand if you decided to invest in an ICO today then there are chances that the owners of that ICO can run away with your money. Such ICOs are called ponzi schemes where people scam the people of their hard earned money. This was one major reason why google opted out of the cryptocurrency ads. Same was done by facebook and twitter too. These schemes were on a rise and an end had to be put to them.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin Experience More Price Volatility in 2018? on: April 11, 2018, 11:48:33 AM
Yes, I have been saying the same since 2016 and will say the same till 2020. Cryptocurrency will feel the same price volatility every day for the next 365 days and then the upcoming days as well. The main feature of this market is volatility and that is why people are making such huge sum of money from this market. If volatility stops how will people make this much amount of money. Volatility is here to stay.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about new Bittrex platform? on: April 11, 2018, 11:46:34 AM
Just like windows keeps updating the UI and we get used to it, in the same way we all will get used to the bittrex's new user interface. I personally find it more visually appealing and it looks a lot cleaner. Although people will have trouble moving from the old interface to this one, I am happier with this UI. I wonder when they would start accepting new user registrations though. Their servers seem overloaded.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can any government ban Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2018, 11:41:06 AM
Yes any government can ban bitcoin because everything is under their control. Look at North Korea's government, they have even banned the internet, so bitcoin is nothing for them. A country has the power to ban almost everything. Even media is highly controlled by the local government. But the users are always able to find a way out by using proxy servers. Just like users access torrent sites by using proxy servers, in the same way crypto websites can also be accessed by using proxy servers.
