There will allways be religion, because people will always be afraid of what we dont know, and there will always be things that we dont know.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it too late to buy NEO? on: August 10, 2017, 03:31:47 PM
What do you guys think? Is it too late to buy NEO? sitting at $15.
When I first found Antshares(NEO), it's only $1 ,I did not buy it,  let me alone , cry for a while.
Nobody knows if it will happen for sure, but I guarantee if you don't buy them and it go up $100 or $1000, you will cry again. Grin

Buy NEO not too late. People want to get in thinking it will go to $200 plus just like the Etherum. If NEO becomes china's ethereum it could overtake over ethereum and become number 1.

Hi all!

When I'm trying to upgrade from old account to new one and hit the "Upgrade and confirm..." button, i've got a red pop up message "Please contact support: hello@stellar.org"

Can anyone explain, why I can't upgrade? I still have 20 stellars
Send an email to hello@stellar.org and wait some days or you can try to contact with Stellar supporter at twitter or slack.

Miko is no longer an admin in the slack. Welcome back everybody
Miko was never the MGO slack admin. He's just an active member. Jack Kuveke is the manager of all forum, social and slack.

Everyone should see The Dark Backward staring Judd Nelson and Bill Paxton.
This is Bill Paxton at his best folks. Yes, even better than his Chet from Weird Science.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptos to buy now ? on: August 09, 2017, 05:25:50 AM
Dash. If you compare Litecoin to Dash, Dash is way under valued, to the tune of over 50%. My prediction is Dash will reach $300 before Litecoin reaches $60.

Hello,

I know that sometimes it takes a little longer for me to answer but know that I read every one of your messages and will take care of all your queries.

For Signature Campaign stakes have the same value as before, but since the campaign was so short (12 days) and also because of the many requests, stakes will now be awarded in daily values, so as to fairly differentiate between the ones who joined from the beginning and the ones that joined towards the end of the campaign.
You should count post number to August 6th(just enough 2 weeks). And count stake as begin, follow your rule. It's fair.
151  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: August 05, 2017, 12:31:35 PM
never quit! unless your losing alot
If you make a trade and see the asset drop in value, forget about it. Don't pull out. Just wait and the market will recover.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: payal and bitcoin on: August 05, 2017, 12:18:41 PM
I dont understand what is the point why paypal is so insecure with Bitcoin? Why they freeze the accounts of them who transact to buy Bitcoin using Paypal? If they are insecure with Bitcoin, why they allow creditcards to fund it Paypal itself? Why they not banning users who buy paypal to fund skrill, paymaya. etc..
It doesn't surprise me that they would try to limit these kinds of interactions. Paypal tries to allow for chargebacks and dispute resolution of payments. Its not really compatible with a final system like Bitcoin that cannot be reversed.
153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HUGE BTC rise and XRP dip on: August 05, 2017, 09:29:19 AM
So today the price of Bitcoin was $2900 and it has rose to $3140 within 3 hours and on the other hand XRP was 0.000063 btc and had a huge dip to 0.00005500 btc. The price fluctuations were good and i hope traders made profit from it.
I am thinking to make a long term investment in Ripple. Can somebody suggest me is it a good investment and where to store the coins.

ripple can be a good investment for you, don't forget to make investment in other coins too like litecoin, etc because I see this coin is good for long term investment. although I know the price fluctuations is always there but at least if you have another coins, you can make more profit too.

I don't know where to store ripple coins except in the market exchange or maybe you can visit in ripple website and read the info or asked them is there any offline wallet for ripple.
XRP is far superior than many other coins, its a great system and block chain.XRP and litecoin even are so much faster and cheaper bitcoin. So, it good for short or long term investment now. I use bitstamp, i don't know better service than bitstamp to buy and store Ripple.

Does anyone know the current status of the Direct Signup Program? If it's not on hold, how can I join? If it is on hold, is there any information on when and how it will resume?
Status of Direct Signup Program still active, claim lumens until August 27, 2017.
go to this link https://www.stellar.org/lumens/bitcoin-lumen-program/

That looks like the link for the Bitcoin airdrop. Thanks, but I'm asking about the more general Direct Signup Program that will distribute a small amount of Lumens to everyone (via Facebook ID, even those that do not hold Bitcoin).

According to the "Distribution Progress" on this page:

https://dashboard.stellar.org/

it looks like some 9.61% have already been distributed, but there seems to be some >~45% remaining.
Distribute Lumens to everyone via Facebook account closed a long time. Some months ago, they tested invitation system but the invitation I think has been closed.

157  Economy / Speculation / Re: WOW!!! Bitcoin prices start to skyrocket again!!! on: August 05, 2017, 05:19:57 AM
I saw you last night in my dream, I swear I saw it in my dreams, this morning I was amazed at the price as usual, 3150 USD wowwww, I guess the increase will not continue.
Everyone who owns bitcoin hopes the value goes high. Like everything else supply and demand will determine the price. It will continue to increase since it is limited supply.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: To Buy BCH or not to Buy BCH? on: August 05, 2017, 02:25:13 AM
I see BCH price is around 0.094 BTC at time of writing. I am considering to buy some. I hope the price will raise because of all the media attention.

What do you guys think buy or not buy?
Prices are getting down, now 0.07 it's so bad. I wait for 0.02 maybe it will happen. Everyone is trying to get out of BCC. Passing several days with a very boring BCC. The transfer delay becomes a hot issue. Free coins will not last long.
Can you explain how Bitcoin Cash can actually have any value at all? It was value created completely out of thin air. Investors traded on BCH futures up to extreme price levels...obviously if everyone was to cash in their free BCH, there would be a lot of losers in the speculative market.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see $50 ? on: August 04, 2017, 10:24:35 AM
We have seen it before so why not.
btc has no bottom when it comes to a debate

Well, it's not possible that bitcoin price will drop 50$ and there's a chance that i can buy a lot of bitcoins and maybe next month it will bounce back as high as it is possible. And if it happens, there's a possibility that crypto currency will be closed.
No one knows. If you think it's going to keep going up $5000, buy now. If you think it's going to take $50, wait and wait forever. Grin
