141  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: My balance stolen at CEX.IO on: October 25, 2013, 05:25:47 PM
Sorry, I found it in my own wallet, problably hit the button accidentally. Some confirmation would be nice...

Doesn't the Two Factor Authentication count as confirmation?
142  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Anyone mining at ghash.io ? Any anecdotes ? on: October 25, 2013, 04:07:43 PM
Pool seems stable for me.
I make more coin by buying/selling GH/s than I do mining though.

Can usually get a 5-10% movement per day without having to watch too closely.
143  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 25, 2013, 03:46:54 PM
I've skimmed the last few pages but don't see any mention on what CH is doing to make up the lost time/btc for their customers?
Did I miss it?

Once they were hashing 100% weren't they supposed to announce compensation for missed payouts?

I am a big proponent of the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thought.

I'd rather have unit working and working at 30% over spec (520 instead of 400) than try to squeeze another 5% out of it and end up like some of the reports where they are hashing at 0GH or 1GH/s

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, only out 0.11 btc from there. Still hurts (thats a couple weeks mining for me) but not a major loss in the grand scheme of things.

Almost a week now with no serious update other than the store is still working.
Even if they do recover and restore the site, not sure I would trust it again and I'm sure there are lots of others with the same feeling

R.I.P. 50btc.com

WORKER 1 HASH RATE    0 Gh/s Sad
Yup. Its currently in the mail on its way to my hosting facility. It will be back up and running tomorrow morning within 20min of UPS dropping it off.

That doesn't explain why the hashrate is 0

Surely between -Redacted- and bobsag you guys coulda come up with a way to keep it up and running during transport Smiley

A very large extension cord and packed UPS's perhaps?Huh??

C`mon I have faith in you

Why do PPS rates vary between some of the pools?

BTC Guild is usually around (note the disclaimer, AROUND) 5% less than 50btc for example

Is that the difference in pool fees or does something else play a part?

154  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED]R5: KnC Jupiter, BELOW-COST + Host! Arrived Oct.7! $78 + Bonuses! on: October 19, 2013, 01:15:16 PM
Worker 1 hashrate down to 132.5 at time of this post
Worker 2 steady at 262.

Worker 1 seems to be losing speed every few minutes

Are we overheating or something?

OK so parts listed arent that expensive at all. Especially when broken down by share ratio.
The controller should be easy enough since Im sure most of us have old laptops or PCs that could do the job well enough.

In that case, record my official vote for the extra hash power to remain in co-op hands

Are there any estimates on how much would need to be raised for the additional HW to run the chips?

Any estimate on how much the chips could be sold for?

Hard to make a decision with no estimates on either option
