XRB has been steady for several days, and its market cap is already large. On the other hand, it's listed on few exchange sites and its tech could be game changing. When it enters Binance it may rise again, but maybe part of that expectation is already priced in. I have some XRB and it's one of the coins I tell myself not to sell, but I don't have more funds to invest and I see other coins rising like hell right now. Should I hodl, or sell to buy other coins? Is there that much room to grow, considering its market cap? What do you think? My gut tells me to hodl.
yes, i believe another pump after listing on binance will take place. it went upto 33$ even before start of community coin contest there, so i don't think it affected the price yet. and listing on such a big exchange at this moment when XRB is so hyped will lead at least to 2x i hope. Yeah, that's what I think too. For some reason, XRB is one of the coins I don't want to sell, even if I don't know exactly why. I guess you expressed in words what my gut is trying to tell me  PS: Finally, is it true what was mentioned about a possible rebrand to Nano? If so, that could push it a little further too (cool name). |

It's a very good project indeed, and a smart investment. I'm only saying that you shouldn't expect a meteoric rise like it can happen with good projects with smaller market cap. Depends now on how people react to it, and marketing. But its market cap isn't huge either, and the project is excellent, so a lot of profit can be made if you hodl (which is what I'm going to do). |

Substratum has been flying last few weeks. I dont hodl any but have heard a lot about this coin. Shift on the other side is not moving at all. Both of them are trying to decentralize the internet. Shift already has a working product Phantom. Dont know much about Substratum. Which one is a better buy for long term?
Both are doing the decentralized Internet thing right? Which one has the better team and community you think? In my opinion, SHIFT. It's one of the most undervalued coins at the moment. Everyone talks about it here and it's still stuck around $10. That's because they haven't started a serious marketing campaign, they are more focused on development, which is the right thing to do. Projects that start with a lot of marketing without anything real are the ones that usually don't last, and could be useful only for short term speculation. As soon as SHIFT starts its marketing campaign an gets listed on bigger exchange sites, it'll rise a lot. Its market cap is not that big considering the type of project SHIFT is, so there's a lot of room to grow, and it can happen any time (maybe this month). On Jan 31 I believe they'll release their whitepaper. And I think that the dev team is great. It's a time bomb, and once it takes off I don't think we will ever see it at this price again. It's like PRL or Raiblocks but before their boom. I missed the boom of both (at least the first part), I won't miss this. I would buy now, and for the long term, but that's just me. |

Its market cap is not that low, so unless the project is a real game changer, shouldn't the rise from here be more slowly and with a few dips on the way? Looks tempting to get onboard now, but I don't have much extra funds so I'm trying to pick a risky coin that could give high ROI. I invested a little in MONK, and now I'm between Neblio, Burst or Flixxo. What would you do?
It will dip, it's a great project and I've been in for months but I would wait, especially if you're holding BTC, if BTC climbs to $20k in the coming week there will be a great entry point again on many alts about to explode for 2018. I'm reading about this project now. Do you think it has the features to become a potential 10x-100x coin. Not so low marketcap, but I haven't read too much about it to know its potential. Large market caps, for me at least, could be good for the long run, but's it's difficult that it explodes compared with lower market cap coins. |

This is a sign that if one really wants to make good profit from the tron one has to buy now. During rumors is always time to buy and of news is always time to sell. I have been hearing positive things about this coin since yesterday and I am suspecting that big guys are behind this latest coin. I have been trying to buy it since this morning but find it very difficult through etherdelta. I agree with every word you say, but I'm a little hessitant after reading some comments here. I know that I should do my own research (I'm on it right now) and decide for myself, but I've read people that say this project has not much future. It's tempting to buy now that its value has dropped after the streaming, but since it already has a high market cap, shouldn't we expect no more meteoric risings? Maybe nice and steady growth for the long run, but not sure if it's the coin that many say can make you rich soon. |

Hi. Sorry to ask this this way, I'm not the kind of guy that asks other to the research for him, but I had a pretty messed up day with my family (my mother had an accident and my grandmother is dying  ) and now I'm trying to catch up with cryptos, but obviously I have to take care of these important events. I've read a few comments about TRX and some where saying congratulations! or that we are going to be rich and everything. I know that yesterday there was live stream from Beijing, but a few posts said that it didn't met up to the expectations. I'll get to work now and try to understand this, but please could someone explain me what this fuss is all about? The price and market cap is below yesterday's value (if, after the streaming TRX has a bright future, then it's time to buy), when I read the posts I thought that a MAJOR rise had occured, but nope. Or was all this because of the spike it had a couple of days ago? Has something fundamental changed with TRX after the streaming? I'll research, believe me I'll do it, but could some kind soul please tell me in little words what happened? If it not were for my family issues, I would be reading my ass off and posting my own opinion (which I will). Familiy comes first, but a little help here would be much appreciated. The thing is, TRON made some big announcements regarding partnerships, a dog game similar to the ethereum cat game coming out in China and a coin burn will take place on the 10th of Jan. That, and the whole project is kicking into gear, starting to take form from the idea it was to actually becoming something. Last but not least, the founder (Justin Sun, check his twitter) is doing well on the marketing front, updating a lot and being smart in general.
If I'd were you, I'd get in TODAY (little dip) to hooooooodl for the future (1 year or so) to make some nice bucks.

Coinbase is the base exchange and it is famous US based crypto trading exchange which is known to mostly all the beginner's who are new to crypto markets and bitcoin. I am expecting to see coins like Neocoin, IOTA, Ripple, Monero, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash and many other coins from the top 15 list. I can see that even coins which are highly manipulating from past two quarter are also in the list because something like Railblocks as they are seeking high demand and volatility from this coinbase exchange.
Volatility is a very good thing for an exchange site. Makes people trade like crazy, and doesn't matter if the coin is good or not, in this case the casino always wins. Reminds me of a quote from The Wolf of Wallstreet: "But you and me, the brokers, we're taking home cold hard cash via commission, motherf..." . Because of that, my guess is that Raiblocks will be added very soon to Coinbase, and that should give it a very nice boost (with some corrections, obviously). |

I don't believe Raiblocks has anything to do with DADI. DADI is the scammer here.
I thought Raiblocks was rebranding to DADI? My bad if not Was XRB not going to rebrand to NANO? Maybe I'm confused. Anyways, NANO sounds great to me (better than XRB or Raiblocks), and DADI sounds funny, don't think that's a proper name for a serious project. Marketing is important here. |

At first, their website drove me away (looked like a joke), but my gut told me to research a little more. After all, hidden gems use to be where you least expect them, so I spent some time reading about it. Turns out this coin has a very dedicated dev team, their announcement thread here at bitcointalk is very large and with nice comments and reviews, the market cap it's really tempting and they already paid to be listed on YobitExchange, which should happen soon. No serious marketing campaign yet. A lot of room to grow, but I could be very wrong. This sounds like I'm being quite irresponsable (and maybe I am), but after this research I invested USD $1,000 in this coin. It seems to be for the long run, and it's literally starting. Any thoughs? Before saying something after just watching their website (which still looks like a joke ), I recommend you to read the announcement thread and do your analysis at coinmarketcap. I'm interested in your opinion, and I'll keep a close eye on this one because, to me, $1,000 is not easy money to earn (and harder to lose). Took a huge leap of faith here, so comments are welcomed  PS: Does anyone know what happens with their website update? The countdown reached 0 yesterday and nothing has happened, as far as I know. |

Regarding speculation, I see Elixir and Oyster Pearl as very similar projects. Almost the same market cap and circulating supplies, very good dev teams and roadmaps, priority on development over marketing (which is coming for both in the near future, so I believe both are a time bomb ready to explode and rise a lot), still not listed on big exchange sites, today both projects released interesting news on their twitters, etc. They are like twins , even though they serve for different purposes. For which one do you see a brighter future? |

I've invested on MONK, and I'm optimistic, but also I know this is a risky investment. Everytime there's an announcement on any coin, even if the announcement is good for the project, is not rare to see a drop in the value. In this case, today they update their website and I just checked their twitter and they announced that they'll soon be listed at YobitExchange. Low market cap + these news and a good project (in my opinion), sounds like a hidden gem to me, but I could be very wrong. That's why I invested now, but not too much. Lets see what happens, and please do your own research if you decide to invest |

What do you mean by 'medium term'? Any coin has the potential to go up or down depending on various factors. Are you trying to hold a coin for a certain length of time for some reason? I mean for a couple of months maybe, depending on how it goes. Since these are relatively new coins, I won't be selling them too soon unless I need to, but since they're not that known I wouldn't say I would bet on them for keeping them on a long run for sure. In other words, what I meant is which one would you pick as a risky investment to see day by day if it's worth it or not. Guess I expressed myself badly, sorry about that. My money would be on Monkey Project then. Active dev, small cap, will be on Yobit soon, rare coin with so max supply of 505,797 MONK. I already invested on MONK. Their website looks funny and unprofessional, but they are supposed to update it today (which could or could not push this coin). I reasearched a little and seems to have a lot of potential, very low market cap, and the announcement thread here at bicointalk is quite large and with good reviews. I never agree to invest in the project that you mention above. They are not popular and it will be the reason that above altcoin will not grow much or it will be more risk involve. I will stay away from project like that. I obviously respect your opinion, but I'm more into risky/very high ROI projects. It's dangerous, but I'm investing only a little bit to see what happens. Being not popular, with low market cap and nice development, to me at least it's an excellent combination. The kind of features I'm looking hardly on a coin. The hidden gems, like they use to call them. Hope I'm not wrong with these ones. At least with MONKS and COSS, I have high expectations. Qlink, not so sure, but their website, roadmap, real world use and development process kinda sold me. But if you're more into safer projects and for the long run, these may not be your coins at all. |

It's quite a long thread, and seems to have solid backup. I invested only a little, and don't know what's going to happen with its value when this countdown is over. At least the market cap is really low, so if this project takes off (which I think it will), there's a lot of room to grow. Please make your own research, and share it with us here.
