The bonus now shows how close you are to achieving your next bonus increment. Please note that the bonuses are not fixed and bound to change until we make an official announcement about it. Right now the priority is to gauge how much bonus can be given and to who.

Sorry about the downtime guys, we had a pretty large DDOS attack directed towards us. When stuff goes wrong, its 20 servers that need to be checked and services rebooted. We handle more bets than pretty much all other dice sites combined (60 million+/day and nearing 80 million for today) so it's not as simple as just restarting a single server.

Even after the issues we had this last 30 days (probably our worst 30 days ever in terms of downtime) we have had an uptime of 99.5%. We do aim for 99.9%+ but it is not always possible.

The free btc bonuses have not been finalized yet, the numbers still need to be worked out. The bonus will stack with the reward points bonus so you can have both running to maximize your rolls. However the free btc bonus is only guaranteed for the next roll and if after that your requirements fall below the threshold, the bonus will be reduced as well. Just to make things clearer, the picture below shows the maximum your faucet can be boosted to with the current prices.

The bonus rewards are still experimental and they will probably change as I work things out (probably go down). there is no fixed wager requirement to get an increased bonus. It is calculated based on what you have wagered/spent on lottery vs. how much you have claimed from the faucet. As that ratio increases, the reward will increase and as it decreases the reward will go back down. It isn't guaranteed.

Some of you may notice that you do not need to solve a captcha for the free play game anymore. Its something that I have been working on and may be able to roll out to a larger number of users soon.

I also have some stuff planned to enable users to increase their base rewards since they have gone down a lot off late due to the rising bitcoin price.

Thanks for those new update. I want continue my play freebitco.in for these great feature.
I have just noticed that you have added a bonus on my account. I have also heard that some other user get the bonus too.
I just wanted to know::
How long time the bonus will activated on my account? Is it for a fixed period of time or forever?

Its not finalized yet but you can get a bonus of upto 19 times your base reward and it is re-calculated for each free roll. Playing dice and buying lottery tickets will increase the bonus but the exact calculations are secret to prevent gaming of the system.
146  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 13, 2017, 08:18:06 AM
is the current hourly payout is at 0.0000073?? and it is decreasing like every day randomly. Sometimes up and sometimes down a little. Is this site dying?

Why does the amount of Bitcoins that you can win, keep changing?

The amount of bitcoins that you can win with FREE BTC depends on the current bitcoin price and the biggest prize is fixed at US$200 and the other prizes in proportion to it. So, when the price of a bitcoin goes down, the reward amount calculated in bitcoins goes up and the other way round is also true. So, regardless of the current bitcoin price, you have a fair chance of winning US$200 in bitcoins on each roll.
147  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 12, 2017, 08:20:37 PM
How do you explain this balance?

http://prntscr.com/fizkl0

Does this have something to do with the sudden drop in the Bitcoin price or is there something wrong with Freebitco.in? Very weird, I used the

faucet once today.  Huh

We closed the advertising accounts today and moved it over to the main account so if it had a negative balance it was carried over. Can you pm me your user id and I'll give you a credit.

Anybody can post their idea to claim the 1 BTC reward. Food2 had pm'med me with this idea and I asked him to post here to claim ownership of the idea publicly in case somebody else also thinks of the same thing and I pick this method for doing the lottery.

-snip-
I willl offer 1 BTC to anybody who can provide me with a way to make the lottery provably fair in issuing tickets and picking out winners. The system described should be able to handle hundreds of millions of tickets and verification for users should be fairly easy and straightforward. You can post your ideas here and I'll go through them and reward the idea that we use.
How about providing blockchain transaction links in the "previous round winners" list for starters?
Not as much verifiable as most people would want but it gives at least some transparency, right?

Not everyone withdraws immediately and ignoring privacy issues posting a blockchain transaction wouldn't really be proof of anything. I could just send bitcoins to my own addresses and claim that those are payments for winners.
152  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 11, 2017, 06:35:06 AM
I would love to make the lottery provably fair but unfortunately there is no method of doing so as far as I know. Hence, I have done the next best thing which is to offer users a chance to opt out of the lottery and receive reward points instead if they feel the lottery is rigged. You can do this from the PROFILE page.

Both the free roll and the dice game are provably fair and the website will be going completely ad-free as of today.

It's all about the risk to reward ratio. In this case, for me personally, the benefits do not outweigh the potential risks, but for others things might be completely different.

It states that people can freely withdraw their funds at any time, but this is nothing more a relative term/statement. It will start to form a problem once everyone starts cashing out at the same time.

That directly raises an important question for me ~ how does freebitcoin plan to act in such a situation? Does freebitcoin at all times have enough liquid reserves to allow an all-cash-out scenario?

Section from the EARN BTC page on the website specifying how we store coins:
Quote
How do you store bitcoins securely?

We use a combination of hot wallets, hardware wallets (Trezor) and BIP38 encrypted paper wallets to store bitcoins. At no time do we keep more than 5% of our total bitcoins in the hot wallet which is used for making payouts. The hardware wallet is used as a "warm" wallet and bitcoins are transferred from it to the hot wallet as required. Our paper wallets serve as our "cold" storage with the wallets generated on an air-gapped computer running Tails OS. Our hardware and paper wallets are also secured against physical theft as the hardware wallet requires a pin code and encryption password to access and the private keys in the paper wallet are encrypted which means that the coins in the wallet cannot be accessed without having both the private key and the encryption password. We also keep physical copies of the cold storage wallets at multiple locations.

Oh...
That's good. So we can see two clear 200$ winner of freebitco.in here. Is there more 200$ winner who doesn't post his winning here? Does freebitco.in has only two 200$ winner during this 3.5 years? Or there are more 200$ winner who doesn't post his winning here? 'wetsuit' can you clarify this matter?

There have been quite a few more, even after i started this thread but many users do not want to post here (maybe they do not know english or they do not wish to go through the hassle of posting here, I do not know).

A note to users posting screenshots for the extra $5 - you need to post a screenshot of the screen when you win, a screenshot of your roll history does not count for the extra reward.

Two weeks ago i've posted a question and still i am waiting for an answer:

A friend of mine has tried to register at freebitco.in.
But always unsuccessfully in his words.
He said, that he was getting always an error code "e8".
What does it mean ?

Thanks for your "care" guys at freebitco.....

they need to enable javascript.
159  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Freebitco.in as a wallet? on: May 18, 2017, 01:10:03 PM
There were many accusations in the starting but they now claim that they have been mining bitcoin and stuff and also gace proof of the address were all coins were being mined. It looked legit but when i added some funds in my account in the next 2 hours i received more than 10 emails for a password reset. I knew something can happen so i withdrew everything.

Your email has probably been exposed in some hacked database elsewhere. You can verify it at https://haveibeenpwned.com/. If it is, it's probably a good idea to start using a different email address for everything.
160  Bitcoin / Mining / Bitfury confirming very low fee transactions? on: May 18, 2017, 10:23:59 AM
Something strange I noticed today. I had sent a transaction with a 10,000 satoshi/KB fee a while ago to consolidate many small inputs (https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/6c3dca0b37f69a154b7bd61a5c9b2613c3777e37c565d4801460f26d28158c3f). With the transaction fees being as high as they are currently, I wasn't expecting it to confirm anytime soon. However, to my surprise it was confirmed today by Bitfury even though the current transaction fees haven't been lower than 200,000/KB for a while now.

I am not complaining but I wonder if Bitfury (and maybe some other miners too) are confirming low fee transactions to fill up their blocks (so that nothing looks suspicious) while letting high fee transactions accumulate in the mempool and thus raising the fee estimates higher?
