141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING, WALLET STEALER!!! on: December 31, 2013, 06:14:59 PM
Hi guys, as you may know I run the Netcoin Forum. We had a guy PM some of the members regarding "netcoin messenger" which allows you to chat to each other via your wallet addy or some non-sense.

Anyway, 1 of my friends downloaded the thing and then warned me that it was malicious. It messed up his entire PC and they had to re-install to fix it.

Anyway today he loads up his wallet and the coins vanish soon as it syncs. Not just his Netcoins but ALL his coins.

Did he not have them encrypted? This is why I don't bother with most alts, and if I did I would have all the wallets on a separate computer.

Yes he had them all encrypted. And yeah you should I guess, I mean BTC has had it's problems regarding this in it's life. It isn't immune, is it?

Unless his password was really simple I don't know how it could've got his coins that quick. Did he use one password for them all?

Yeah I don't know how either mate, obviously I don't know the passwords, but no he said he had a different one for all of them.

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NETcoin UP +236.95 % today!! WTF on: December 25, 2013, 02:16:05 AM
I wasn't judging your current work, but God bless you and your team on this path brother!

Well you didn't know about it I guess and that is understandable if you only use this forum. If you had been to CCT you would have known about us that is for sure although I don't use that anymore because again I just lack the time, I am here there and everywhere lol... One time in cryptsy I was called "the james brown of crypto" embarrasingly I didn't even know what that meant hahaha.

So yeah there is no hard feeling as said and I'm just glad I got this chance to tell you a little more about what we do/are doing. And thank you very much for your best wishes. Whenever you feel the time is right, we'll be there on the official Netcoin Forum http://forum.netcoinfoundation.org/

You're always welsome to stop by and see what we are up to. I am admin on there.

Take care and have a fantastic cryptomas Smiley
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NETcoin UP +236.95 % today!! WTF on: December 25, 2013, 01:56:48 AM
The coin has been out for 3 months now, there are loads in circulation but I personally know a lot of people are holding this coin because of our efforts, there have been dumps before and we rise up higher than ever time and again!

It matters not what the others do though to be honest, I am not really fussed about the price now or when it was at 600 a couple months back. Of course it is nice to see it rise as it shows my hard work IS being appreciated. But it isn't the be all and end all. I was shouting from the rooftops for a long time on cryptsy regarding how cheap is was and I still believe it is far too cheap now!

But non the less whatever happens myself and the team will continue to work on this so that it is a viable alternative to the other alts out there. Hell I wanna go after BTC! lol

By all means wait, I am not telling you to buy, not in the slightest, but perhaps next time don't be so quick to judge Wink

EDIT: Oh and I also have a deep love and respect for crypto in general, and I have a passion that will take us all the way to the top. I have some amazing ideas and in time they WILL come to fruition.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NETcoin UP +236.95 % today!! WTF on: December 25, 2013, 01:31:42 AM
The coin has a great name and logo if it survives the millions of coins about to be dump I may just buy in.. even if it's at a higher price but for now I'll watch. I just hate to see a coin with a great logo and name with horrible specs perhaps the devs could lower the block reward to make it dump resistant in the future... otherwise you guys will end up like GLD

Hi there, I was the one that took on this coin. The original dev netdude didn't have the time to care for it like he should so I did the honors...

Yeah it had some early incentive mining for sure, it was only for like a week and I missed that! I think I caught the tail end, as in the last half a day... I continued to mine it and I was promoting the hell out of it in cryptocointalk, just go look at the threads and you will see meee all over the place Smiley

Then I decided I would like to have my own forum with some great features so I started that up which ate ALL of my time for a long time. But as has been said I didn't hide, I was very active in cryptsy promoting it.

This is no pump and dump as far as me and the team are concerned and I was not involved with any kind of shenanigans regarding the move to BTC, I mean I told people about it openly on the forum via our chatbox.

I also didn't buy any beforehand as I have a load anyway so no need.

Let me tell you, that great logo I paid 3 million Netcoins for. It was at a time when that 3 million was worth $100... It was made by a world renowned artist named Joe Jones and he took a leap of faith in me to produce that for such a little fee (at the time)... I funded 2 game sites costing me a further 2 million. I did an expansive giveaway both on CCT and on my forum, I have posting rewards on the forum too which I pay to this day. As well as the bank interest and whatnot

I also paid 1 million coins for a wallet I never receieved (thanks mullick). I mean the list goes on and on...

I have worked my little behind off for 16 hours a day for the past 3 months, no joke! I have barely left the house, so it does kinda nark me somewhat to hear my efforts being called a pump and dump merely because we didn't use a forum of your choosing. But hey man no hard feelings, I know this scene is hard and there are a lot of scams/p&d but that is why I do this! I hate that non-sense and wanted to make a difference!

I have paid £6750 on the Netcoin casino, does this sound like some p&d to you? lol

We do have a great community with some really awesome folk that I love to death as they are just so helpful with me and the other forum users. We have 12 people in the netcoin foundation all with different skill sets and it is amazing to work with them!

Time will show you wrong, I will prove you wrong. Wink

2014 is going to be the year of Netcoin, just you watch what I have in store my friend. Smiley

EDIT: Oh wow, sorry, that was quite the rant Shocked lol

EDIT: "Instamined trash" That cut me deep Sad

Hi, I know we are not on Btctalk much and to be honest it is purly because we have very little time, too busy making NET awesome! Smiley

We mean no disrespect by that, it is just the way it is, we have our own forum to maintain as you can see. But we are always there working away and if you ever want to come chat with us we are very friendly and open for discussion.

I wish I could go around every forum and share the news etc but really I am overworked as it is. Sad

Any way, come drop by sometime and see what we're up to, you never know, you might like it. Smiley

Have a great xmas everyone and I hope you like what we have in store for you come 2014! We're not finished yet! Not by a long way. Wink

Is there a reason why Netcoin hasn't been added yet? Don't mean that in a smartarse way I am just asking out of curiosity and wondering if there is any problem I may be able to help with.

If there is a problem or you need further info then just let me know and I will get what you need.

Thanks guys. Smiley

Added Betacoin and Deutsche eMark; readded CasinoCoin, EZCoin, Gamecoin

Status on the other coins that have been requested:
DogeCoin - Coming Soon
NetCoin - Coming Soon
Philosopher Stones - Coming Soon
GrandCoin - According to the main thread, super blocks grant additional coins so I can't accurately calculate the total supply based just on the block count
ASICCoin - Waiting for the Coinex API issues to be resolved
XenCoin - Block explorer seems stuck http://xnc.webboise.com/chain/Xencoin
ElephantCoin - Same issue as GrandCoin, unable to calculate Total Supply when super blocks are in the mix
Frozen - No known exchange

Thanks for the feedback and patience, working hard to add new coins and implement the suggested features. Smiley

Have patience. It's on plenty of exchanges and has a working block explorer, so he'll add it soon enough.

Yes as I said it was more out of curiosity than anything. I was merely offering my help if it were needed. Smiley

Plus I am excited to see our name up in lights... haha Smiley

That link you gave there isn't for Netcoin... Well okay it is but not NET... That one you link to isn't even out. Our info site now has a new domain which is netcoinfoundation.org but you can also get to it at netcoin.org.uk.

I'm admin of the cryptomunity forum btw, just incase you didn't know. Smiley

To Gliss, I hear you'll be adding Netcoin soon, that is great news! You have a nice site there and it will be an awesome day when Netcoin is listed. If you ever need anything just give me a shout here or on our forum @ forum.netcoinfoundation.org.

Thanks for everything.

Go NET! Smiley
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Poll) What is the next altcoin that will succeed? on: December 09, 2013, 01:11:35 PM
I know I am biased as I am part of the Netcoin dev team but we really do have a lot going for us and we are still very young! I don't know many that have come as far as we have in this short space of time! We really are overlooked!

I think some part of that is to do with our lack of pressence on here but we are just so busy building things! As of of course we should be!

I don't think we are perfect by any means but we do have a great team and lots of drive! We will try to do more on here when we get the time but really if you want to keep track of us you can do so here...

And here

You can find more info on this website too, it will be getting an overhaul very soon.

Is there a wallet for Mac?

Unfortunately not at the moment, I am working on getting one done. You're the second person to ask so I will try even harder to locate someone that can do it. We are just in the process of upgrading the wallet anyway so as soon as that is done I will get the mac wallet.

I will update this post as well as make an annoucement on the forum as soon as we have it. Thank you for your interest though. In the meantime why not sign up to the forum and pop your coins into the bank? You get 1% interest per day. Better than storing them on your mac. Wink
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Get a Million Netcoins! on: November 23, 2013, 01:54:30 PM
Everyone talking about logo design. Who cares? What advantages does your coin have compared to Bitcoin?

Are you talking about the token itself? Well it is faster, but that is about it I would say. But as I said in the OP this is not just about the coin itself at all, in fact that is the smallest part of all of this. It isn't about the coin logo either although that is nice too... It is more about giving other options and building the community via various features within the forum itself. Like we have a bank installed in the forum that pays 1% interest a day, to get the interest you must post at least one comment per day, this encourages user participation. We have the stock market game, where you can bet your Netcoins against real stock market data. We hold competions with that each week too.

We have the Netcoin Radio where you can make requests to the DJ Fivemill...

Tell me, what is special about Bitcoin itself? Like the actual token? I mean there is nothing really right? What gives it it's value is the services yeah? You can spend it all over the place and that is awesome. We like all the coins that are useful and that is where we aim to be strongest. Everyday we are working hard gaining more services for Netcoin.

We believe that options are a good thing, that's all. And we want to give back to the community in various fun ways.

EDIT I would also like to add that we do have some great ideas we are working on behind the scenes, they will become apparent soon enough, but mainly it is focused on rewarding people and helping to build the crypto community as a whole. We have a very good idea of how to bring more people into this world of ours. So at least give us a little chance, we are but 2 months old. Smiley
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Get a Million Netcoins! on: November 23, 2013, 01:43:10 PM
Yes the T's are awesome, gunna have to get me a couple of those.

Hey snawdog, glad you like the T-Shirts... I've had a little think and I reckon I can do them at very near cost to me. So I am revising the price down to $21 shipped to anywhere in the US! The more I sell the cheaper I can get the price and eventually I will get a bulk order!

These shirts can be ordered right now, though the shop is not really ready yet, much much more work to be done. But if you woud like on then simply post here and let me know how you wish to pay, basically I will accept any coins that are listed on cryptsy and I can take paypal too, although with paypal I will incur fees Sad So it may have to be a little more if you wanted to pay that way.

Any way thank you, I'm glad you like it. Smiley

The more we grow the better we will get and the more streamlined we will become.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Get a Million Netcoins! on: November 22, 2013, 01:03:37 PM
@pitstop... Sorry, actually they can now all be accepted lol, when I was filling them out I couldn't see PPC and QRK, now I see them so they will be accepted too.

@jahmonaut... Yes most definitely, we agree wholeheartedly with that. We are all about the community and we will strive to do our best for them, we are doing some crazy things and I am constantly told off about it lol. But I really think it can work and with the support of people like you I know we can make it work. So thank you for that. You're very kind. Smiley

The logo has a very futuristic design, well done

Wish you guys all the best....

Yeah it does thank you, Joe Jones really did us proud. He is a great artist. One day we hope to get a few limited editions pressed. I think it would make an awesome physical coin.

Thank you for your support, we really do appreciate it. Smiley

NET is also very cheap right now on cryptsy, it is traded in both the LTC and XPM markets. Wink

oh! nice, can they be bought with $$$ or only netcoins?

You will be able to buy them with all but 2 of the coins on coinpayments, and yes you will be able to buy with various fiat currencies via paypal. Smiley
