141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have Bitcoin what to do on: October 02, 2014, 06:04:04 AM
Hi I have a small amount of Btc 0.015 ,I want to lend it to someone who need it with interest but as their are many scammer on bitcointalk I'm afraid .What to do?

Return always comes together with risk. If you want to get some return from your bitcoin, you must face some kind of risk no matter you are gambling, trading, lending it out or investing in some projects. If you want it safe, you should put it in your wallet and your 0.015 btc will stay as 0.015 btc.
142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Micro transactions - confirmations? on: October 02, 2014, 05:37:47 AM
The standard fee is 0.0001 btc per KB, but you can send transaction without fee as well. It will be confirmed if it has a high enough priority (please read https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees#Reference_Implementation).

For micro-transaction, it is better to do it offchain.
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is now a good time? on: October 02, 2014, 05:34:33 AM
I think so, as I believe bitcoin is still at the early stage and it will be much more popular and successful in the future.
But in fact, everyone have a different speculation on the price. Some expect it to reach a million one day, while some expect it will never hit a thousand again.
144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: faucet and nodes what are they? on: October 02, 2014, 05:27:36 AM
I did think about that and we are not keeping the premined coins we are going to used them to help people learn how bitcoin works and how altcoin work. Most people who I talk to never heard of bitcoin. So we been trying to get on a trading exchange for btc to our coin. Without the premined it would be hard to show them how it works.

Look at launch of LTC was announced and he mined 1 block the genesis block. Then was open for all.  With premining even 1 percent getting on a exchange at this point  is hard.  They will ask what your coin brings to the table.   Getting adoption will be a battle, i wish you luck.

+1.

The response you get in your altcoin thread tells you exactly how people don't like pre-mining. There are only a number of people replying there, and all of the response are quite negative.

146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN Core(QT): It takes ages to synchronize wallet on: October 02, 2014, 03:52:26 AM
I'm thinking to move to armory/multibit as well, fidn really annoying the syncing process every time there is an update.
What I would like to know is if there isany way to take my old btc addresses, the ones I created and used with my current BitcoinQT (on laptop) and Bitcoin Core (on desktop PC) wallets, aalong with me

You can export the private keys of your old addresses and import them to your new multibit wallet.

Read the following the pages for a step by step walkthrough.

147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If bitcoin was real coins, Would you pick 1500 satoshis off the ground? on: October 02, 2014, 03:39:59 AM
It would be something like 70 pennies. I wouldn't pick such amount.

You wouldn't pick up two quarters and two dimes?

That's funny, I was gonna ask them the same question but forgot.  I don't people that say they can't be bothered to pick up the change.  Sure 70 cents isn't a lot for some people, but 70 cents is a lot of money to some, especially the homeless.

A lot of the time when I find change I'll throw it in one of the many donation boxes you see in stores.  Hell, throw it all in a bin at home and around Christmas donate to the food bank.

What 70 cents? 1500 satoshis = 0.000015 btc = 0.0057 USD at this moment.
I don't think that 0.57 cent is a lot of money, even to the poor and homeless...

WHERE IS MY PAYMENT! IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH SINCE MY PAYMENT LIGHTLORD! STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE! I have PMed you multiple times and you have failed to answer them. Theres a reason that you are put as an unstrusted campaign on bitcoininformations campaign list. This is such a scam.

You have made the following post, asking lightlord to send your payment to someone else's address for repaying your debt.
Have you checked that address?

Ok. I'd like to switch my address to 16MtvTUvqwwKwV87nayxPLHTJJZNGPa9qw. I owe him some money so I'd like my earnings to go to that address instead.
Thanks!

I couldn't find any big bad news on here, reddit or coindesk.
Did I miss any bitcoin news that caused the price drop?  Huh

I haven't been able to visit qoinpro.com for a while.
It just says ERROR, with a random string below it.
Code:
Error
Code: 2014073019404169cd92
String is different every time.

I can access the site without any issue here.

159  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is PrimeDice really (provably)fair? Well, it isn't. on: July 31, 2014, 03:02:00 AM
I think all dice gambling is same
last time i gamble with win chance 60%, lose 10x row

and if you roll with big bet, you usually los even with high chance win

that's why lot people open gamble site

I think you're wrong.

Most dice sites are provably fair, which means you can check that the rolls are fairly generated.

You need to do a little work like verifying hashes, picking random seeds and such like, but if you are willing to do that you can be sure the site isn't cheating you.

Exactly.
But the problem is many gamblers don't really understand anything about SHA hashing and so they probably consider the "provably fair" just a gimmick.
