Yes use the miner that is found within dosh/build/release/src.
You can also use xmrig if you like. Many other cryptonight mining software are compatible. But for easiest when solomining, use the miner provided.
Maybe you need to reset your wallet. If you are using simplewallet, just reset and check. You can also try ./walletd if your familiar with its usage.

It's weird... i start mining today on Linux: I suppose it's solo mining, I just use the miner in the dosh build with my public address and no other parameters...
That works and I found blocks! But... one or two hours ago, there was something like 600 locked coins in my wallet and 1xx available: when I check now (the daemon is always running), I still have my available coins but seriously less locked coins (something like 1xx).

To run Dosh on Linux goes as follows:
go to your home path ~
e.g. home/ubuntu or home/user1 depending on your username etc
if confused just do the following :
$ cd ~
then you need to create a .dosh file as follows (within home directory):
$ mkdir .dosh
then you will simply run the dosh daemon as follows (located in dosh/build/release/src)
$ ./doshd
if you want to run daemon in the background:
$ nohup ./doshd &
We are currently working on providing wallets for other platforms too.

Perfect, that works! The daemon is starting correctly now (but already 6 days of blocks...). I will try the wallet when everything is sync! But I was waiting for the beginning of the mining at first block |

The build seems ok on Ubuntu 16.04! But when I try to launch the daemon or the wallet, I have this error:

Usage:
Windows: doshd.exe --config-file configs/dashcoin.conf
Linux/Mac: ./doshd --config-file configs/dashcoin.conf

windows cli wallet does not connect to peer for synching? what about pool mining. waiting for it to start mining with my gtx 1060
Where did you got the wallet? There is nothing on the first page or on github  while searching i found this page https://cryptocurrencytalk.com/topic/14220-dosh-information/ . There the wallet is listed, Downloaded from Mega. Seems no config file. But on opening it says bloc height is 0 and not connected to peers. May be dev have not yet started network. 2014! I suppose it's an old Dosh currency An old Dosh currency? Did that means this coins already available since 2014? Or it's just have the same name / abbreviation for the of this coin? Just a supposition: they reuse the same name... But... if they want to reuse the same name, the first need to communicate and launch something I am monitoring this thread since the announcement but it's suddenly not very exciting! |

We are currently also releasing a draft of our website. The site will contain information based on the project and what it revolves around. The website will be released the next day. The website will later contain more in depth content such as aims for the project including road maps.

Right now only Windows 64 Bit GUI uploaded, rest will be available shortly.
I check my GUI wallet everyday and everything is working fine! Except one thing (not a big problem): when I quit the wallet, I have the popup with "saving wallet, please wait..." and sometimes it finishes after xx seconds but sometimes it never finishes... And of course, if you can check the case of my balance which is still at 0.0, I am missing my 5856698.9 coins!
