141  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: January 31, 2014, 01:47:23 PM
I cant download the dualminer gui. Apparently it says virus... If someone can upload to mega.nz or other website (with DM's permissions), that will be great.

Thanks a lot!

Many miner programs will generate a false alert. Something to do reputation or popularity.. not really even a virus.

I found it right after I posted.  You have a couple bids now it looks like.

I have one up there. I didn't see any others.

Yep, I intentionally started below cost, to see what the FMV would be. Also, got a few private messages with people willing to trade btc and whatnot, but I really want to see what the "market" will do. Though, if they were people from this thread asking for anything less than 90, then they should of know what I paid for it and asking 90 would be an instant loss.

So far the eBay experiment is 7 hours in, 34 views and 4 watchers. I'm going to guess the watchers are from this thread to see what it does go for.
144  Bitcoin / Hardware / [ DualMiner ] Mine both Scrypt or SHA-256 or both at the same time on: January 31, 2014, 04:20:51 AM
I have a listing on eBay, and I'm sure others will too. For those who are interested and couldn't get in on the first batch. Just search for Dualminer, sadly since it's cost prohibitive to ship overseas, it's Continental US.

I put one up on eBay to see what the market depth looks like. If I take a loss oh well  Grin

Received (3) pack today and they are hashing at ~70 kH/s each as advertised.

*Note they would not install/run in the Anker/Aitech 10 port hubs but did recognize and run correctly when used in a ASICminer 49 Port USB hub.

Then that might be my problem Smiley
147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: January 30, 2014, 09:08:00 PM
I was running only in LTC mode on a Anker USB 3.0 6+charge hub .. though I think there is a problem with my system.

I'll get several comm errors, but had the same problem with other USB sticks, but on other machines those same sticks don't have a problem.

I'll be moving them soon, just playing around with them right now.

Got some extreme cooling going on for my 1 U1!
Thanks again iluvpcs! Would recommend anyone to you for hardware sales!
THAT'S awesome, they has to be the BIGGEST COOLER I've have ever seen on a USB device, I think you should try to clock that up more with one of those resister changes and see if you can't get 3 or 4 GH out of that puppy!

Think we have found the first bit drone.

Can you tell me, why you are buying this miner for 100$ ? It makes no sense to me , 70Kh/s raward is ~1$/day. Break even 100 days ?!?   Seems like the scrypt asic race has startet, 100 days form now reward will be 10Cent ...

Its same like with the bitcoinminers, for example bitfury costs 200$ . Reward is 29$ a month , so break even is 6 months ? Maybe someone can explain it to me , because it makes no sense ...

Cause we are hobbiest, we like cool and new things; say it with me "I'm a Geek and I'm Proud".

Why does anything have to make sense? I mean effectively didn't we all pay money for wow gold, it all has no real value except to us as a community.

The guy at the garage doesn't care that we have 5 7950's on riser cables.

I should know in a couple of hours, package is out for delivery.

I had 3.5 btc stolen from btc-e about month ago, still sad. You had to have 2 step authorization.

I wouldn't complain if any site holding coins insisted on 2fa. Much less coin stealing then. A better community all round.

I don't know if bfgminer is your best solution for mining with NVidia, shouldn't you try cudaminer?

though it hasn't been a long test, I'm officially against antiminer ... antminer is much better.

Don't you wish all such problems were so easy to fix?  Try building a Windows QT wallet sometime when you need a challenge...

Your screenshot looks just like mine, I hope there is a good solution.
157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Install, Use, and Overclock an AntMiner U1 Bitcoin ASIC Miner in Windows on: January 30, 2014, 12:47:53 AM
Hi,

bought today my first BitCoin Antminer. So I am totally a newbie to this and already did run into problems.

Did anybody test this on W8 64bit?

I installed the drivers however, it doesn't see the AntMiner; I get this:

I followed the steps and it seems fine.

I'm running a HP Workstation XW6200 with Windows 8 (not 8.1) 64bit.

I've got a Ubuntu laptop as well, just have to look into how to make this run on Linux, haven't found anything yet.

Thanks for any help.

I use them on windows 8.1 pro, you may want to open your device manager, find the comm ports and delete them (make sure to view hidden).

Same here, to be delivered on Thursday. I ordered 6 of them, looking forward to testing them out.

I've got some of the 5x gc3355 (the goofy round ones) on their way too. Next week will be interesting.

I only saw the round ones for sale for about $2.5k each
159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HAVE YOU HAD COINS STOLEN ON CRYPTSY? on: January 29, 2014, 01:20:59 AM
however they wish, i will never in my life use crypsty again. f ur eula, f u. f u all! LOL  I UNDERSTAND ALL YOUR TELLING ME NO SHIT! HOWEVER ALL THAT SHIT WOULD BE COMPLETE UNNESSAASRY If crypsty helped keep shit secure. AND for all you cryptsy lovers. go google crypsty, show me one fucking link that has a good thing to say about that cursed wreck of a web site. you mother fuckers act like i pasted my password on the front of my house.
east shit and die

I dont use their service, but all I read from you is

- you use IE (bad idea)
- you swear at them (bad idea if you want something)
- YOU got your gmail account hacked (bad password? maleware? anyway its a problem on your end)

"#1 a lack of concern, #2 a lack of responsibility, #3 a lack of common sense!"

fits you like a glove.

I understand that you are angry but you can only blame yourself.

- GeoIP services are unreliable. Your "solution" would probably make it impossible for people who use tor to use crypsty.
- the length of your password is not the problem as google wasnt hacked (afaik) and they have meassures to make brute force impossible. Again most likely your PC is infected and the password was stolen that way or you had an password that was easy to guess.

I bought 3, ironically with sales of my block erupter usb's Smiley

Thought the BTC side is sort of wasted, I'll point them both at multipool and let them just run amok.

It appears to me, I'll have to start 2 batch files, one for sha-256 and the other for scrypt

so, though the gh/s for sha-256 is subpar, it's better than block erupters and a little less than antminer's for $20 bucks more each.

Those who ever watched Alton Brown, now that's a multitasker.
