Must depend on the branch when I setup my business account with them last year the bank manager had no problem with bitcoin.
142  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: December 05, 2012, 02:32:02 AM
The funny part is he is claiming more clowns are lining up to buy him mining equipment!

If I didn't offer Teramining, people would say that I am going back on what I promised. Now that I'm putting the contract together, you make the comment quoted above.

Thanks for showing just how unenviable the position i'm in is.

Hows that old saying go oh yeah google has it.

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive”

but I seriously wonder how you feel deep down knowing you are sitting on a pile of hardware other people bought for you.

He feels great that is what this whole thing was designed for you clowns paying for his hardware or did you think paying at least twice what it was worth was for your benefit.

Yep pathetic no wonder these people get scammed.

145  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bad news for bASIC - not shipping til mid Jan at best on: December 05, 2012, 01:20:44 AM

I will lay odds that when asked if Tom will use the Bitcion proper network he will avoid or ignore the question. I believe Tom will not provide any information regarding testing other than he will be testing. I am convince he does not have the technology to do testing prior to shipping without using the Bitcion proper network.

If Tom uses the Bitcion proper network to test his products prior to shipping is that theft? Maybe not on a legal level but certainly on a moral level. Maybe the question should be raised, should Tom get a scammer tag? I suppose I'll leave that for another day and another thread.

What kind of odds? May as well some free money from your verbal diarrhea...

egypt was colonized , now its arab muslim country (with large christian minority)

Those christians are under threat most times with killings common.

Quote
jordan colonised , now its arab muslim country

so why is it that when we come to palestine , under ottoman empire then later colonisation/mandate , it didn't become an arab muslim country (with a jewish/christian minority) ?

http://youtu.be/ucHv_ZV-bT4

Jordan a majority palestinian populated state and part of the original mandate of palestine you people like to go on about but yet conveniently never claimed to be palestinian so you can foist your lie upon the world that they have no state.

What is gigavps real name, address and tax ID (SSN)?

You left out the perjury he gets people to commit when claiming those funds in your step 6.

Could someone please bother the SEC/FBI/CIA/what have you? KThx

Tomorrow, gave it a week for his lawyer to respond that is up then.

...
Also this thread has gotten long and argumentative, and to be honest I haven't read all of it with great interest.  So I have skimmed most of the back and forth bantering from everyone trying to figure out why all of these points are necessary?

in writing at the below listed e-mail or physical address to provide the following information:

Quote
1. The bitcoin payment address associated with your glbse.com claim
2. Name of the person or entity claiming beneficial assignment of the agreement,
3. The physical address of the person or entity (no Post Office boxes or mail suites),
4. The tax identification number of the person or entity claiming beneficial assignment,
5. For real persons: a photocopy or scanned PDF of government issued photo identification, or, for corporations the document number and issuing jurisdiction of the incorporating charter and proof of current good standing.
6. An affidavit attesting to the beneficial assignment of the agreement, which has been notarized (US residents/corporations) or local equivalent bearing the apostille of the competent jurisdiction. Copies of an acceptable affidavit can be obtained upon request from the law offices.

Has there been any solid evidence as to why giga and his lawyer need points 3,4,5 and 6?  I never gave that stuff when entering into the
contract by purchasing shares of gigamining?  Is this a CYA tatic incase bitcoins one day become taxable?  I "skimmed" the last 8 or so pages of this thread did i miss something?  This really concerns me because I have been a victim of identity theft and while it was caught at only $800 and a few tried cell phone contracts (in another state mind you) It took me almost 2 years to get that straightened out.  It isn't fun and don't want to go through it again.  I protect all that data now.  I am sending a document to a laywer big deal... is he in turn going to send me a signed and affidavit promising my info isn't going to get out bearing the apostille of competent jurisdiction?  Turn about is fair play?

Naelr

3. The physical address of the person or entity (no Post Office boxes or mail suites), - will not help you or gigacps to prove you own the shares - was not requested in original contract

4. The tax identification number of the person or entity claiming beneficial assignment,
- will not help you or gigavps to prove you own the shares - was not requested in original contract
Probably used to fuck you once more and make you liable for unknown amount of taxes in US. If you take your capital loss and offset your gain from div, you probably end up with pennies. Can Gigavps report anything he wants and offset his own tax liability at your expense? Probably.

5. For real persons: a photocopy or scanned PDF of government issued photo identification, or, for corporations the document number and issuing jurisdiction of the incorporating charter and proof of current good standing. - see 3 and 4 and read 4 once more - especially the tax part about taxes.

6. An affidavit attesting to the beneficial assignment of the agreement, which has been notarized (US residents/corporations) or local equivalent bearing the apostille of the competent jurisdiction. Copies of an acceptable affidavit can be obtained upon request from the law offices. - will not help you or gigavps to prove you own the shares - was not requested in original contract  but probably enables him to fuck you over once more with taxes and stops probably most small investors ever seeing their coin and dividenst that gigvps is still earning with equipment you bought to him.

The who thing is a fkn scam and it serves one purpose only - protect gigavps (if shit hits the fan and IRS is knocking on his door) and enables him to fuck you all for several more times.

Shit, I never liked the guy because the way he was planning to fuck us (yes, I used to own that crap)  with his "oh so sweet" upgrade so he can stuff his pockets once more with investors coin while trading existing gear for free to more powerful equipment.
I must say, he is a smooth talker and can probably sell a icebox to a eskimo Wink LOL.

What is gigavps real name, address and tax ID (SSN)?

You left out the perjury he gets people to commit when claiming those funds in your step 6.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: December 01, 2012, 07:42:33 PM
I am running Ubuntu 11.4 on USB, with 5870 cards, trying to utilize reaper to mine on a pool. Seems to boot up just fine, but won't find work. At first I thought to check pool-x, it seems to be down (or at least the website). So maybe that was why - so I tried connecting to Burnside's pool, but still get the same message, as though the connection isn't going out. Network is working, other headless ubuntu working fine... etc.. thoughts?

Edit

Just want to note that I fixed this by removing the "http". Now I am running 2x 5870 and 1x 5850, 600 khash or so. How can I improve that? I have tried increasing threads, but my khash drops to more like 400 450 when I increase threads per gpu. Running them lower (ie 3 nets 500, 1 per gpu nets 600khash total) seems to work better, but that can't be right.
Using

Aggro 16
worksize 128
sharethreads 1
per/gpu 1 (tried 3, 5)
gap 2
concur 8000 (seems to work less effectively lower)
longpolling yes

Any thoughts?

Install cgminer then use a command line.

Code:
DISPLAY=:0 cgminer --scrypt -o http://pool.to.mine:9332 -p password -u username --worksize 256,256,256 --thread-concurrency 8000,8000,8192 --vectors 4,4,4 -i 18,18,18 -g 1

Change around the 8192 to reflect its (the 5850) position in the machine if first then it goes at start middle then in middle last like I have it now. Set the speeds to around 770, 1050 engine/memory on the cards and you should be getting ~1 mh/s combined.

Edit: The command to change the speeds.

Code:
DISPLAY=:0 aticonfig --od-setclocks=770,1050 --adapter=all

And I like how you people somehow take the people living in gaza by their own choice as being a prison. BTW this same treatment that supposedly makes them a prisoner is practiced by the Egyptians who also will not allow them to come and go as they please yet not a word on that eh.

Actually, they can travel to egypt pretty much at will... but only on foot only and without carrying anything with them (trade goods etc).

The problem with getting out of gaza is really that hamas is unlikely to let you through to the border with egypt,

No doubt it keeps the conditions disgusting just what the aim is. What I find funny about these whining Jew hating little bitches is this. Somehow the Jew is supposed to be this still meekly accepting their slaughter type. That ship has sailed these Jews today are not going for that shit anymore you kill them they kill you. So sorry about their luck don't whine when the other side does to you what you do to them.
151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abby Gets Hot About Israeli War Crimes on: November 30, 2012, 12:13:47 AM
Nobodys freedom of movement is being restricted inside gaza... nobodys human rights are being violated or restricted by anyone inside gaza (except of course for muslim oppression of women).
That's part of the definition of "open-air prison" - throw 'em in, and let 'em wander. Just as long as they don't try to leave.

I like how firefop invents this magical exclusionary criterion "if you can wander inside the area, the area is not a prison" that is entirely nonsensical.  I guess only solitary confinement in chains qualifies as "prison" to him.  Behehehe.

The short and sweet.

Israeli "My god is better! We are the chosen ones."

Palestinians "No! my god is better we are the chosen ones."

So much death over a belief.

An imaginary idea that has so many unimaginable consequences.

Israeli: Your Temple is built on the ruins of mine we were here first.
Palestinians: We were here first the Imams, God and all the idiot commentators that would like the Jews dead tells us so.

This main point I take from this is that this is not a conflict that just happened 50 years ago, Jerusalem has been contested land for many many centuries.  Very old beef.

That and in order for the palestinians to claim first habitation it would be their ruins being built upon plus the supporters of theirs are mostly anti-semites looking to carry on the centuries old tradition of killing the Jews at every opportunity they can manufacture.

I am not sure we can use the word anti-semitic in this case.   If you look into what a Semitic person is and how Arabs are Semitic, they would be hating on themselves.    Maybe anti-Zionic or anti-Iraelic would more closely follow your statement.

Wiki Link about Semitic:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic

If you are so inclined, reading on the history of how Jewish people fit into post-Christ life during the centuries, many times they were used (willing or not, still reading many texts about this) to do certain services that put them in a higher place in society (money changers, pawners and lenders) by the princes and kings.  The problem is that they usually did this "at their pleasure" so if they did something they didn't like or just gain too much wealth, they would come in and hurt or kill them and create populist reasons to get public support while not revealing the nature of the original business relationship between the Jewish people and the monarchs.

I know the history bud and while true most do not consider Arabs to be semites when using the term as I did referring to Jews if you knew your history or had any common sense you would have known that usage.

155  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Lifetime License to WinX DVD Copier on: November 29, 2012, 07:03:21 PM
Hey guys, I'm selling a lifetime license to WinX Dvd Copy Pro. This is usually 40 dollar software, currently on sale for 30 dollars. I'd like to get 1.5 BTC obro (or best reasonable offer) for it Smiley

I'm willing to do escrow and pay the fee for said escrow.

That is extremely generous it will save someone from waiting on the free lifetime licenses they give out all the time.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will my rigs generate as much heat mining LTC as well as they do BTC? on: November 29, 2012, 06:24:29 PM
More heat and look forward to ~10% extra on the electric bill.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Kinda off topic, but generally LTC miners suggest a GB of RAM for each videocard, right? I'm looking ti get more involved in the LTC market soon.

Well I have seen people suggest it but am thinking it is windows only or they are not using cgminer thing. With cgminer on ubuntu my machines which have at most a single 2gb stick in them most only 1gb and averaging 3 cards per machine they all work fine with that little amount of ram in them.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will my rigs generate as much heat mining LTC as well as they do BTC? on: November 29, 2012, 09:37:24 AM
It's currently 17'F outside my house, and my mining rigs are doing a great job keeping my rooms well above 70'F. Actually, I've found myself needing to open the windows a few times a day to keep it from getting too hot. Since they are going to be useless for mining BTC in the near future, can I expect approximately the same heat generation if I was mining LTC? More heat, less heat?

I'm hoping I can get away with heating parts of my house this winter with mining rigs. Expensive electric bill, but they should be able to pay themselves off as well giving me some free heating.

More heat and look forward to ~10% extra on the electric bill.

As to trusting nefario now vs. later, you can't do better until you know better.

There were problems with this bond in getting it listed from the start you knew better then.
159  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: November 27, 2012, 09:22:49 AM

They are required to tell the truth as they know it at all times in a legal proceeding.

This is patently untrue. You can verify it very easily: go kill someone, call up your lawyer, tell them you've killed the someone and see if he stands up in court and says "Your Honor...he has told me he killed X".

Quote
ie. client tells lawyer he killed someone lawyer cannot put client on stand  to testify if he knows the client will deny the fact he has been told.

Who the hell told you this? If things actually worked that way we'd have a simple test now wouldn't we.

Nice selective quoting you tried there missing the entire point being made which was your lawyer cannot be compelled to incriminate you even if you have confessed to them but they cannot knowingly allow you to commit perjury. I don't know where your at but where I am lawyers are not permitted to lie to the court or knowingly allow lies to be told to the court.
160  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: November 27, 2012, 07:58:30 AM

Why is nefario connected with all these other businesses?  Do we even know his real name?   This is starting to look really shady.  Do we even know his name is actually James McCarthy?
This is from the litecoinforums...
Nefario registered bitcoinglobal.com back in late December 2010 !

Bitcoin Global is the name of the organization that ran GLBSE. Of course his name is James McCarthy. Do you have any evidence to the contrary, or you just trying to stir up wild speculation?

If Bitcoin Global was registered business and he is listed there that has to be his real name, well I suppose the Brits could do it differently there and not require government issued ID to get your business registered but I doubt it.
