So your v1 client is dead. Reports Fatal Error closes before it loads. How am I suppose to swap coins with a dead wallet??? Id like my coins back!!!!
MrData will likely see this and be able to help you. You could also send him a PM. Worst case, if you send him a copy of your wallet.dat file and your v2 address, he can do the swap for you. Just to double check, have you downloaded the latest copy of v1's 0.8.99.9? This version adds additional checkpoints to the v1 block chain that fix an issue that was caused by an attack on the network a week, or so, ago. The link is on http://www.was.club/ or the OP. Yes, make sure you are on the latest version. If you have a corrupt file causing crashes you can delete everything from your data folder except wallet.dat and wearesatoshi.conf and let the client redownload the blockchain. If it still crashes your wallet.dat is probably corrupt, if you send it to me I can try to recover it for you. |

Already running, coins are mature after 5 days. 5% interest / month for first 90 days, 1% / month for the next year. cool, so I wont get a shwack load of tiny ones every few hours like I do with some coins  thanks for the info  That will still happen, just the nature of PoS. |

There's your problem, you never upgraded to 0.8.99.9. Once you do that you should be able to get synced with the network. |

Any ideas how to sync v1 wallet? I've tried everything. I got over 20 mil v1 coins on an exchange and cant get them !
If you have an old peers.dat you can close the client then delete it, once you start the client back up it will add the seed nodes after 30-60 seconds and you should sync right up. |

We are still solving blocks and client works fine for v1... Pretty sad you guys can't come up with a new coin name. Just stealing the name for your own use's. Thats like making Mcdonaldsv2 and it not being owned by the same people. You could have called it WeAreSatoshi X11 and Id have more respect for it.
We didn't come along and steal it... the WAS community reached out to us and asked for help in reviving the coin. After much public discussion and in full cooperation with the original WAS dev MrBrew we came up with a plan of action and executed it. The main 2 reasons we had to do a v2 are: 1) Saturation of the market with billions of coins holding the value down, 2) People wanted Proof of Stake; which is very, very hard to retrofit into an existing codebase. |

I need help.... Why would the tx fees be so high sending back winnings? if its a loss it just pays the txfee i set... I need some rest
Usually it will be only 0.0001, but if you are sending coins you just received and/or small amounts it can be higher (this is the same with most/all coins.) i have plenty of coins in the wallet.. i send coins threw the wallet regular like and its fine... but let the code create sign and sendrawtx i get outrageous fees taken out. as i said i need to sleep on it prolly.... Yeah, could be; creating raw transactions you control the fee amount. |

The main problem with V1 was how it was dumping thousands of coins per block into the economy which held it at 1 Satoshi on the exchanges. (With over 32 billion coins minted even a 1 Satoshi difference was 320+ BTC in market value). That is why the v1 to v2 trade-in is at at a 1000:1 ratio.

The bad blocks are probably still floating around the network yeah, I don't think anyone is actively trying to mess with it anymore. Just as a test I've resynced v1 a couple of times but I can't get it to crash or anything. Built the new v1 source successfully. During the new sync, everything goes well for a few minutes then sync stops and memory usage climbs until eventually the app quits. Restarting just repeats the same. Needed a few restarts to get the full sync. I noticed this yesterday (memory usage) when my coinswap was delayed.
Could this be a sign that the attack is ongoing.
I got around 2000 WAS during the attack I won't try to redeem them. I was getting blocks with 300 WAS during the attack. I upgraded to the latest client and getting 0 WAS again. Did they actually make it into the blockchain? The v1 client even pre-patch should have rejected any >0 reward blocks (assuming it was running 0.8.99.9), especially when it was back on the right side of the hardfork. |

That is weird, if it starts doing it again the wallet.dat could be corrupt. If you don't have any backups if you send me a copy I can try to recover the coins for you.
