141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN DO YOU BUY BITCOIN? on: November 28, 2021, 10:36:17 PM
At one point or the other, we all need to buy bitcoin, but when do you actually buy it? or when is the best moment to buy bitcoin?

For example, should I save some cash to but bitcoin when there's a 0 -15% dip? or should I wait till there's a major drop of >30%?

Is DCA the only way to buy bitcoin? What if I invest in an altcoin that booms and then take profit from it to buy more bitcoin?

What is your strategy to buy bitcoin?

These questions are not new here, this was asked so many times before.
If you want to invest in bitcoin, ye you can, and if you want to invest in altcoin, of course, you can.

Bitcoin investment is very ideal for long-term holding which is you can gain once the price goes up and in altcoin, I don't know when it comes to long-term. Altcoins are preferred on a short-term investment which is very risky if you don't monitor the price which is very common if this will turn out into a shitcoin.

I don't know what is DCA, for sure that is a hype coin, and what if the price will suddenly have a huge drops?
142  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: November 28, 2021, 10:29:20 PM
I've got a friend that approached me if crypto is a good business. I've just told him, if it's easy then everyone are already into it. I've told him the truth that it's too risky for someone like him that has no enough knowledge about crypto and is conservative about the volatility of the market.
It's not for everyone and us who got experience, we just know how to deal with the risk and the market every time it gets to dump because it's the most emotional moment whenever it happens.
I consider in a crypto market is a big ocean in which are there are small fish and the big fish, once when you at loss it means you have been eaten by a big fish which is commonly a whale. There is no actually safe in crypto, you have a good point about your friend and saved him/her from possible massive loss which is very common in newcomers in crypto.

The problem is people don't understand how crypto will work, they always have this thought of always making money in crypto.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT or BNB? on: November 28, 2021, 09:59:00 PM
Hello,
Which one is more cheap for the swapping? The Binance Coin or USDT?

Thank you.
Both have different functions and you can't compare them.

For swapping purposes, it depends on which coin do you want to swap. For ERC20 coins, it is better to use USDT and for the BEP20 coins, a good thing to have is BNB. The more cheap I think is the BNB coin but you can only use this on a few exchanges and if you are in Binance, this is a good coin to choose when worrying about the fees. If you are going to ask me, prefer to use BNB for swapping.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money day trading Bitcoin? on: November 28, 2021, 09:52:38 PM
Day trading is not a good idea, especially if you're a beginner. It requires a lot of time, efforts, and a good amount of knowledge when it comes to market movements, because that's where you'll get your profits within the day. In short, day trading is buying and selling a certain stock or coin before the market closes within the day, in cryptocurrency, you have to sell it before it dumps again.

To simplify it, you need to take advantage even on the small amount of volatility that a certain stock or a coin makes in a day.
That is the fact here because if we have to take a look at the market price, altcoins move does the same with bitcoin and how can we earn profit within a short period of time like day trading. It is also very risky because, in order for you to have a profit, you need to pick a coin that has strong volatility which has a sign of making a profit.

For me in my own opinion, I will not go on day trading even do I'm an expert or not. It is very risky, it is better to choose if you will hold your bitcoin and wait for a perfect time.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or hardware wallet ? on: November 28, 2021, 09:43:37 PM
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two methods to store your coins?
There are a lot and I think most are stated on users above the pros and cons.
My advice is don't store your coins on exchange because either the disadvantage or advantages are not good at all upon storing your coins. The best thing is a hardware wallet which is you have your own private key. In exchange, you can store of course but not in a long term, for me, I always being paranoid thinking my coins if it is on exchange because I don't know if one day they will collapse and shut down, possible your coin cant be recovered.

The best practice, we should have control over our private key.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite NFT? on: November 27, 2021, 10:22:04 PM
For a new investidor, still worth invest in Axie ? or found another game ?
<....>
Yeah, still worth it to invest you can still earn on it.
I like the NFT that is based on the play-to-earn games because for me it is very simple to win and gain crypto using this play to earn games to make a profit. Maybe if I found another one that has the same feature as Axie infinity which massively increases the price. However, there are too many of them right now that you can choose from.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price now on: November 27, 2021, 10:02:52 PM
It should be on this way on which you wouldnt really stress out yourself too much yet this would really lose your cool if you do mind always much seriously on what to do.When it comes to management then this is something really hard because of the unpredictability of this market which simply means that that you should prepare plans A B C's whenever a certain analysis would really fail out and its normal.
Just dont try to be perfectionist then you should be fine.
I agree, I'm not trying to be perfect but just trying to take advantage of opportunities. Market volatility was taken into account for this strategy to work well for me and may not work for others. Like most others, the strategy of buying on a correction is the best way to collect more bitcoin and volatility will provide an opportunity for us to profit.
No one can act perfectly when it comes to bitcoin prediction, even though there's a correction still we don't know when the correction will stop.
But if we saw a down price after a bullish trend, that is normal because as we can always see, after the price was massively increased it will always have the opposite reaction, the downside. You can manage yourself to become more patient at all times and never sell during the price goes down. That is how I can manage my bitcoin during having a short correction.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you spoken to Satoshi ? on: November 27, 2021, 09:44:02 PM
<...>
I guess we can only ask for Theymos statement, as he is the most reliable person to share his experience.  Smiley
maybe they are old enough right now, just like what happened to Phinnaeus Gage which already dead, or maybe too old enough and can't able to read words on a computer screen. I don't think theymos was there at the time sotoshi was active on the forum if you will check the old post from satoshi to a welcome forum message. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5, up to topic number 10 it's all about satoshi writing on this forum but no one has replied in the same year which is 2009, and satoshi stop posting on the forum 1 year later in 2010. I don't think there is someone who contacted him personally.
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: November 27, 2021, 09:24:06 PM

Buying only Bitcoin or at least 90% Bitcoin.

I do agree that BTC must be your primary target of investment in crypto. IMO 60 to 70% of your capital should go in BTC and rest of capital for strong alts (top 10 alts at CMC) and short term trading. OP point is also valid that when BTC goes down every coin goes down with it. We have to accept that fact, the logic of equity trading don't fit here.
I would rather agree if we put 100% of our investment was on bitcoin and just fully ignore altcoin because they are completely useless without bitcoin.
You will diversify your portfolio if you are not in crypto and stick to bitcoin investment only if you invested in stocks and real estate but don't have profit yet, I would go in bitcoin. Last month, some of my friends diversified there investment from stock to bitcoin because they realized that bitcoin has the potential to gain more profit.

Diversification really helps when you know that the price will be going down, but how you can predict them if the price is unpredictable.

152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share your betslip here and inspired the gambling community. on: November 22, 2021, 09:48:14 PM
<....>
But first, it won't inspire the gamblers here. Second, winning bet slips are just proof of what they won. Behind that winnings, there are lots of losses.
Upon reading this thread I visited the gambling site casino I have used but seeing my bet history it seems not good, though I have a winning streak when it comes to the losses,  it has a lot of streaks too. I don't know how to inspire the community but instead tell the truth that my losses are longer than my winning which is overall I still have a loss against the house edge.

My advice is, just play and gamble for entertainment and don't mind about your winning and losses as long as the amount is that you can afford.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Race to $1000, which one would hit first? SOL or BNB? on: November 22, 2021, 09:38:25 PM
It's hard to pick both of them because they are potentially good coins, though SOL is good and has a lot of progress I still go and pick BNB.
I don't have a technical analysis between them but based on my own opinion Binance can do anything to pump their coin anytime and the $1k is not that hard for them to pump their coin while SOL did not back up my own exchange.

However, this is only my prediction and assumption, we know both of them are unpredictable and let's hope that both of them will reach the anticipated price increase and there's nothing wrong if we invest them all.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Young Investors Prefer Cryptocurrencies? on: November 22, 2021, 11:56:17 AM
Coz’ cryptocurrencies are much simpler, easier and faster way for us to invest without the need of getting into regulatory stuff that is extra hassle to our time. Plus cryptocurrencies are the future and trending right now than stocks.
More than that, it's far more relatable because our generation grew up close with technology so we have a very good familiarity when it comes to tech related investment schemes. Plus it's much more accessible than stock market in the first place so it's not really a no brainer why young investors choose crypto over stocks.
That's technically the right answer because in our generation now we are relying more upon technology and we only understand how blockchain technology works and besides, most young people are willing to risk. On the other side, we are at the perfect timing when digitalization is very trending just like cryptos because of the pandemic.

Young people also love exploring the internet, so there's no reason they can't adopt crypto since everyone wants a profit. Digital investment was usually young investors the most preferred.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which one of altcoin does most profit for staking on: November 22, 2021, 10:46:11 AM
<....>
which one of altcoin does most profit for staking ?

I want to staking CAKE in pankakeswap, have you seen altcoin that staking is profitable than CAKE ?
In Pancakeswap exchange the best coin stake is CAKE.
In Binance, the best coin is BNB.
In Apeswap the best stake is BANANA.

Additional above are:
Hydra (HYDRA)
Polkadot (DOT)
Solana (SOL)
SushiSwap (SUSHI)
Ethereum 2.0 (ETH)

These are my best pick coins.
156  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex is asking me to scan my ID and send them my photo on: November 22, 2021, 10:34:37 AM
That's very common on the centralized exchange because they want to avoid common scam account which are a protection to their clients, what if your account has been hacked? You have a chance to recover it if it was waking up from a long time of inactivity. This was posted so many times on Reddit, you may research there for further explanation.

Not only by that, but they also have punishment on inactive accounts, they charge a fee as compensation for maintaining your account.
Maybe you need to read this Bittrex review.

157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the meme coin still worth holding on: November 21, 2021, 10:43:33 PM
I hope we have the reason to hold them and I hope that we are holding the right coins but seem to know that meme coins aren't good enough to risk long and hold long. I know that not all are bad and worthless coins in general coz there are still some that performing so well. However, if we don't make any searches and choose the wrong coins, I don't think so but rather have nothing to expect from them.
People got amazed at Dogecoin in the past few day's performances and now, Shiba Inu is on the spike. If this is your basis why do you have a plan to hold them, that was your choice, because for me, as long as it has a working product and market use that is fine.
The meme coin that you have mentioned above was made the price goes up because of the people's hype.
It's hyping now heavily and many people want to have a short gaining profit in the market and grab this kind of activity. The only meme coin that I believe will never fade is dogecoin, this coin has real use and there are too many gambling casinos that used dogecoin.

If you wanna try to invest in the short term it is up to you, just always invest what you can afford.
158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things to know before trading. on: November 21, 2021, 10:27:33 PM
<....>
they don't know how hard and how many sacrifices that these tellers had been experiencing before they got their position.
All traders have sacrifices and how many losses they had just to have experience and I think, there's no right position because in trading there's no permanent result, anytime you will lose even though you are expert in trading, because no one really knows where the price goes on.

I agree above that trading is a very risky part of having money and there are too many studies you must have before you will completely and understand the market and keep in mind the possible consequences that may result in the future while in trading.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 21, 2021, 10:08:24 PM
Have you ever thought about Bitcoin becoming centralized someday?
For now i never think about that, or maybe bitcoin will replace fiat. Maybe what to be focus is how bitcoin can adopt by more people, or who made bitcoin illegal, can be make it legally although only to be as an assets. If a lot of country legalize bitcoin, in case like when people have bitcoin is not a crime, then we can think about bitcoin as payment all over the world.
Why? why are you thinking like that?
Bitcoin will never ever become centralized, why? Have you heard there's someone who modified the code of bitcoin which has a unique protocol that only bitcoin has? It is impossible to be centralized because bitcoin has its own unique feature and that is decentralized.

Besides, why do governments need to be centralized bitcoin? They have their own currency that can be used in a centralized way, not bitcoin.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your worst mistake on: November 20, 2021, 11:49:38 PM
My worst mistake it was a day I sold out one of my altcoin, I sold out a coin I bought worth 20$ and when it pump to 70$ between two days I sell if off, after selling it, it start pumping more more and more. Between seven days the coin have increase in price massively. Do to my own calculation  if I have leave the coin still that seven days  I should be cashing out more than 900$. I sell out the altcoin because my tell me that the will soon dump because the is not yet listed in to exchanges like binance
Dont blame yourself because that is a part of a game but at least you have profited in that way rather than have a lose your investment.
I have once had the same scenario as yours, I have been holding a coin that I thought was an ATH, but after a few days it was pumped so much that almost 50% from the previous price which I sold my coin, sounds frustrating but that is fine.

We should not regret if we already earn. That is how crypto works, because of our inpatients sometimes our action goes wrong but at least this is not worst.
