141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: map shows which countries are friendly to Bitcoin on: January 28, 2014, 04:48:06 PM
It'd be appreciated by those who don't have a hand in the country's development (either politically or as business owners, etc). Private citizens anywhere in the world can stand to appreciate BTC, even though it's made to look bad and evil in some countries.

The 'private citizen' who actively takes initiative to solve any or some of the challenges related to a country's development (either politically or as business owners, etc) could stand to gain handsomely, in more ways than one Smiley

142  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: 2 India Property Sale, Goa 165 BTC & Hyd 175 BTC on: January 28, 2014, 01:16:08 PM
i think its too much priced

The ability, commitment & process to BUY the property comes first for a really SERIOUS buyer.

The price is perhaps the last thing on his or her plan or strategy Smiley

Always, the STORY comes first, and then the numbers!

What factors do you think are most important in todays BitCoin value.
I think the trading pair BTC/us$ is still a good indicator if it comes to purchase power.
BitCoin now somewhat stable @~$900 is caused by?:

A few keywords...
- Law of demand and availability?
- The free market...
- Exchanges...
- Local BTC.
- Mining Hardware prices / availability.
- What is the influence of energy/power kWh price to keep a miner on-line?
- Network hash-rate.
- Services like bit-pay.
- "anonymity"
- usefulness
- market adoption.
- the community...

your thoughts and input pls.

Supply and demand.

148  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy now or wait ? $41,000 to invest in bitcoins and litecoins on: January 24, 2014, 05:48:00 PM

Diversifying gets you 70k upside, or 20k if everything tanks, a nice little hedge for the long term investor that likes to not look at his computer at midnight.

letting it ride gets you 400k upside or 0 if your choice tanks, the choice of someone that may be tired of the long march towards his age 65, 1.2 million savings target.

I have some existing traditional investments that have got me exactly what you would expect over the last ten years. Average returns and an average progress towards retirement.

But in the past six months I am all in with new investment dollars into crypto. I am not going to stand by like I did with Apple, Netflix, Google and other great investments, and watch them all do great in my 2% of ownership diversified holding.

I am riding Bitcoin or other Cryptos (DOGE Smiley until tehy go to the moon or until the go to zero, one or the other. In two years, I will either be in the same place I am now, which is 20 years from retirement, or my life will be totally different. I do not see another opportunity like Bitcoin, and haven't as long as I can remember.

Diversification is for those that are planning to retire when they are 65, I have never met a single average guy that paid for their house in a year with a diversification strategy. Whether it was a business they built, or an investment strategy they chased, they were all in. Just saying.

No mining at all - long term you are better in BTC.

No alt/shit/crap/joke/scam coins - longer term almost all of them will fail.

Just invest in BTC on the dips.

My 0.02 BTC.

Gee, this is such a mind numbing 0.02 BTC  Smiley

156  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Future of Bitcoins in India? on: January 20, 2014, 05:22:57 AM
As per new RBI directives, do you think there is a future for India in the Bitcoin boom?

RBI is known to be very slow, they haven't even allow recurring payments for Indian credit cards.

Will it be different for Bitcoins?

Bitcoin / P2P digital currency is the FUTURE.

i'm a full time MINER but can always be a OPPORTUNISTIC TRADER too  Grin

P.S: Are you from RBI or ED (taking a survey of all miners and investors)?  Huh

If RBI was full member like we then, we'd have laws/amendments already passed for Bitcoin.  Grin

I must launch e-commerce soon.

Dude majority of the shoppers there are women.. So you know.. i guess only half of that would have actually been used to buy stuff that is really required. Wink
