141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transparent mining 2, or What part of Legacy should be left behind on: February 10, 2014, 04:08:09 PM
I can't imagine why somebody who is selling t-shirts or anything else should be forger and nobody else.

I like the idea forging as business. But still don't undestrand why average person buying a 100000 NXT will not be able to forge.

Mining made bitcoin so famous, because people can do something for the idea at home and earn real money.

What I'm missing?

1) There will be zero forge income for people just buying NXT because it is great platform?

2) How should look real example of successfully forging individual?

"Selfish miners (those who mine only to earn fees) should be "removed" from the system"

How?

Maybe my logo looks simple, however I was tuning final render and testing animation for 12 hours today.

I didn't know that today is dead line. I think it could work as a 2D graphics too. Hope you will like it!

Would it be possible to include me in the pool?

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: February 09, 2014, 12:35:32 AM
If no one minds I will re-post the link to the logo poll every page or so, just so it's not left behind. Smiley

@Utopian, it might be handy to provide a link to it at the top of the thread? Or perhaps on the registration thread? Smiley

Poll for the logo.

Imgur album of the options (and their corresponding numbers) can be found here.

I'm just finishing my logo, how could I add it to the list for voting?

Where can you spend NXT today, except exchange? Post any place accepting NXT.

I like your version better, it's much easier on my eyes. But i think the border can be improved upon.

This is my version of sketch
http://oi61.tinypic.com/ws0os0.jpg
Please don't laugh at my sketch.  Embarrassed

I think make it like this would be a little more better, but do it with super enhance tool that you professionals have. enhance.. enhance..enhance and boom smooth 3D!
Please do it for the fun just coz you can and i can't, i would if i can.

On the sides have the logo imprinted with a depth of about 2mm which shows the inner color of the slate.
We can have image of the coin shaped looking like pieces of granite from outer space.
Just imagine how carving it out with a full piece of granite would be.

Good point, I could try it with some other materials. We will see how it will look like.

I still hope Nxt will have pool forging implemented at some point. come from beyond tweeted about it some time ago.
so everyone gets the same interest % (although very low). that would make it even fair-er.

Its just a concept now, but if NXT distribution will be better it could be a feature.
The concept is about leasing forging power to a Pool (Forging Hub) without sending money to another account.

more details:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4410102#msg4410102

I think that quoted text is very important.

Todays forging is like mining Bitcoins with GPU or altcoins solo mining.

In case I could tell somebody: Nxt is great, you can forge instead of mining and it is so good and future. He will believe me and buy 10.000 NXT. In case he will actually forge every week NXT, he will be so happy and tell it to his friends etc.. This situation will not happend until pooled forging without sending money to the pool will work.

In case price will go up, newcomers will not have enough money to buy even 10k or 1k NXT for forging.

We must have solid answers for these kind of questions, people on the other crypto are not stupid.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 12:25:04 AM
To forge is kind of selfish here, who have a lot of NXT have more probability to forge, this is not fear, we use this Crypto currency to decentralized the paper currency and avoid capitalism, but is not like that.  Huh

You could also say it like this (in regards to Bitcoin/scrypt crypto's)

"To mine is kind of selfish here, who have the most mining rigs have more profitability to mine, this is not fear, we use this Crypto currency to decentralized the paper currency and avoid capitalism, but is not like that.  Huh"

The more you invest, the more you forge(NXT).

The more you invest, the more you mine(BitCoin/Scrypt).

I know how geat is the future for Nxt, and I am doing my best for it.

More you invest more you forge (NXT) -> $1500 -> great investion and 0 forging
More you invest more you mine (script)-> $1500 -> nice $ mining every day -> then invest it

I would like to see forgin is better than mining in near future. But how to present or explain it. And how it will look like in real.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 03, 2014, 11:53:07 PM

Will it be in the high traffic future possible to forge money with less than 50K or 10K NXT? After year or two from now?

If yes, new interested people should know the situation now. Otherwise they will not come.

I think that the answer is clearly yes.

With $1500(22k Nxts atm) you can forge once in 15 days (Edit: forever) worst case scenario.

if you get 7 transactions per second, you will get 420 Nxts forged, means 10k a year --> 45% increase if you hold and don't do any other transactions.

I hope you are right Smiley. However these days (7 TPS) could be fee only 0.1 NXT? Then it will be 4.5% in one year Sad.

Could somebody explain to the happy miners why should they buy NXT instead of mining?

They shouldn't. Ppl with "miner" mentality r not welcome. We need open-minded ones.

I would say, it's possible. Pooling is also possible. So, they will feel like being at home.

Just spread the news about NXT and let them decide.

Pool forgig looks little scary to put a lot of money to some stranger's pool.

Mining works in oposite direction (put everything to your wallet) and even there are too often thieves.

Will be some solution for this?

forging next is a joke if you dont havemillions..
let the millionare stackholders do the dirty job and run the java shity client...they arethe only who earn money forging
I quit to open java client because simply i didnt forge anything.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your tone here, but forging NXT is no different than bitcoin in that you need money to make money... you gotta have $10,000 USD to buy a Neptune mining rig (or whatever the f*ck they're called these days).

Buying an $89 USB ASIC does not launch a career in mining, nor in forging.

Nxt isn't magic for beginners with no money but hopes of making a career out of skimming fees.

Nxt is all about forward-thinking features and a group of people that bust their asses because we don't have crutches like memes or pseudo-celebrity coin logos.

The main difference why miners hate nxt is that you can spend $1500 and start script mining on an old computer. After short time you will mine your investment and start mining clear carbon Wink money.

Today when you invest $1500 and buy NXT, you will forge nothing. Maybe it will change in the future ... every 1000 years you will forge one huge block?

Could somebody explain to the happy miners why should they buy NXT instead of mining?

Could somebody check my node and Android TV stick? http://217.17.88.5:7874/
Seems to me that it is working, but in any case, check from outside world Smiley

It worked. Could you please describe what is it?
It is public node?
Should everybody interested make one too and why?
Is this way how could I look into my wallet running on my second computer at local network?
