Either the pitch was not that good for batters or CSK bowlers bowled quite well. Most KKR batters got out trying hit boundaries. CSK fielding was quite better than thier counterpart. Some catches were really good and a few failed efforts were better than earlier.
Definitely there is something on the pitch that held and spin almost like the traditional chepauk pitch and that's why Jaddu came into the play after the powerplay and almost choked KKR's middle order. Whereas the unexpected package came from Tushar Desphande who took wicket in the very first ball and picked two remaining wickets and he made it look like absence of Pathirana will not be a worrying sign. SRH made a record of all time high score in this IPL which spread all over their batting unit and everyone looks destructive from there while batting. Anyone watching CSK vs KKR match? KKR losing wickets like deck of cards and I can only think that bringing Lord changed the Destiny.  Indeed CSK came back strong after two back to back defeats in away games and today they got very good chance to get back on the winning track. It looks like another dull day in the IPL, it happened with both matches yesterday and the same thing is happening tonight. IDK what to make out of it. The pitch is slow, bowlers are too good or batters are just shitting the bed? Below-par score and dew play its part so it should be a cakewalk for the CSK, unless they are in the mood for some royal choking. Adjusting to pitch like Chennai is hard job especially after they are playing in pace friendly conditions sonI would blame the batters for not bringing their Top performance. CSK started well but Rachin is giving away his wicket in the similar way is point of concern, he needs to be cautious with his choice of shots going forward the tournament. |

Mumbai Indians won against not a big team. Delhi Capitals are not such a good team as Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangaluru have some good levels.
It is a small team that is why I think that they can only get a win to this type of weak team, their next match is with Royal Challengers Bangaluru and then the next to next match is with Chennai Super Kings. Royal Challengers Bengaluru current situation is like Mumbai Indians because they have players but not performing well as we can see Mumbai Indians as an example. However Chennai Super Kings is always in good mood as they were in previous seasons. Hope for good, I hope that we will see improvement in Mumbai Indians team.
Every season MI starts with losing streak but once they starts to win they win non stop but this year new captaincy so we have to wait and see it's possible for them to repeat the same tradition. Do you really think that RCB management has enough courage to drop Faf and Maxi? Will Jacks would be an excellent choice, as you rightly pointed out. He is young, and destructive in T20 format. Two months back, he hit a century for Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League. He made 108 from 53 balls at a strike rate of 203.77, against an attack that included Bilal Khan and Al-Amin Hossain. Apart from Jacks, they also have Mahipal Lomror who is also a T20 specialist. Suyash Prabhudessai would be another option at the top. Since things aren't working out, it's obvious they need to shuffle things a bit, management should gather some courage and drop either Maxwell or Green. Lomror could also come up in order and play aggressive while someone like Kohli anchoring the innings. RCB drops a player when they perform decent, Lomror hit 33 of 13 balls and in the next match he was dropped. No need to drop Faf or Maxwell but they could drop one foreign bowler who is not being effective comparing the Indian pacers and bring in Will Jacks then Choose to bowl first no matter what and they have to chase down whatever the total posted by the opposition is the only way RCB can win matches. |

If CSK's 165 score wasn't enough, Abhishek's early fireworks pretty much done the job for the SRH, had Moeen caught Head's catch in the very first over, SRH would have come under pressure and CSK might have had some chance but unfortunately he dropped an easy one, Mitchel Santner could be a better replacement to Ali.
Without Pathirana, Mustafizur — CSK's bowling dept looked weak, there was no intent or timing from their batters either. It felt like they came to lose from the very start.
CSK is going with wrong batting order in my opinion, Mitchel should play up the order not at no 6 and someone like Rizvi should be playing at 5 or 6 to give the push that needed in the death overs. And about the bowling I agree completely, Choudry poor fellow bowled only 1 over and got hit all around the park, that's where the captaincy comes into the question. Board activities are not looking good and it is now evident that the decline has started happening. I will try to be more active here to increase the number of posts as there are a few pieces of information that I think are suited here. The current issue that has been created by the government is one of the main reasons why we are not seeing new members here. All of us still can revive the board by only being active and contributing here. Even the small community of active members feel exhausted after keep trying and trying. The unavailability of merit distribution is one of the main reason why Indians are active more on global board than Local board so I am thinking anyone who is somewhat established can apply to be a merit source to reactivate. Has Gill got any chance as one down batsman?
In my calculation, it's close to zero chance unless Kohli or SKY gets injured and one of them is ruled out from the upcoming t-20 WC, even after this IPL will surely throw more exciting prospects for one down or second down. You have to remember that even the likes of Rinku Singh might find difficulties getting into Playing XI or in some scenarios even in the squad and as far as T-20 goes Gill is way down in the pecking order. Rinku should not be left out of WC playing XI no mstter what because we know what he is capable of and he is something special and he is going to finish the matches for team India in the future.
GT looks little distorted when it comes to their batting and only Sai Sudharshan is holding on the starts he is getting while others are departing after the starts but building partnerships is important as well if they want to win matches. Looks like CSK is gonna taste their second win as well because the req run rate is little out of reach at the moment. |
