Only for the entertainment value. I stopped mining Hiro around diff 1. Mining at diff 100+ is throwing money away and just plain stupid, even if you believe the price will go up.
With the power cost where I am, mining Hiro is 3-4x more profitable than Vert, Doge, Dark, Litecoin, or even CleverMining which I was on before. Don't assume the case for you is the same for everyone. Hiro is fantastic, I was about to turn off my rig until I found it. |

In others news... anyone notice the "fight" going on with Hiro on MintPal the past few hours? Soon as it goes up, BOOM smackdown, 5-6 times already. I'm no great market reader, but it does seem like someone's trying to keep this coin from increasing too much... and losing  Thanks! I got my 270x to ~1.370Mh/s with this.

I don't get more than that with my 270s, so I am interested to see if someone can offer up better config.
I get a little more with my 270x - 1,385khs. Brand is GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-2GD Radeon R9 270X 2GB .  The top card is a cheap 6950 unlocked to 6970. It actually goes faster than the 270x!! More shaders. Config (6950,270x,270x) "gpu-threads" : "2,2,2",

X11 is most definitely the current best option.
True, but only for mining for minings sake. I joined a few days ago when it was 3000+ satoshi. Profitable, and 50% the power. A miracle. But now its 1500 satoshi and only pays for the power it consumes! So why mine? This is a great coin, but what's the point if there's no profit? Magic internet points? I guess this is the problem across all coins at the moment. People are turning off their rigs. How to put a stop to this?? |
