141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: May 08, 2024, 10:43:49 PM

Newly launched products comes with a different kind of risk but, it’s what could be endured and as such, I wouldn’t advise anyone to or not to. Rather, I would say you should understand the risk that it can always go either way but, it often hits rock bottom after a good pump. That’s to say, most of them do pump so, getting in means you should have a good get out strategy. Should you choose to invest, you must ensure you’re doing that with some insignificant fund as it’s easier to lose on a new project than you would in an old, existing project.
Most investors already have the idea of taking profit and running off, it plays out 90 percent of the time and that’s where the real risk is.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 08, 2024, 10:39:35 PM
Well, my gambling life is one that I keep to myself often except for a very few persons whom I feel I could be free around to discuss my every affair and other gamblers at all, before I could let you in on my gambling. It’s not because I see gambling to be some vice or whatever but, it’s because I mostly gamble online and am cool with that plus, it doesn’t add to me or take from me to tell you how my gambling went, that’s my affair.

So yeah, people don’t really get the chance to know much and as such, you don’t get to say nothing either, your opinion continues to stay with you and even the few that knows and could say a few words, it’s not been hurtful and I doubt it would really get to me.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 08, 2024, 10:35:04 PM
Dortmund qualifications was a thing of surprise to everyone, it was psg choice not to have qualified they would have done better than what they did. But the focused point is that who is Dortmund play against in the finale.

It cannot be denied that Dortmund was in good condition and gave a strong performance during the match. But this does not explain PSG's poor performance at all, as the players did not perform well throughout the match and were ineffective in attack and weak in defense. I recently listened to the statement of the Psg coach, and it appears from his words that he was lenient with Dortmund and did not expect Psg to lose on its home field.
I don’t know what he meant by that but, it doesn’t explain why PSG couldn’t get a goal while playing home and away against Dortmund. He wasn’t lenient from what I saw in that game, his team just wasn’t able to get the ball past the goalkeeper: I mean, this is PSG for goodness sake where we have Mbappe and Dembele whom was particularly wicked to Barcelona when they faced off in the quarter finals. They just didn’t do enough in that game and Dortmund increased their lead with yet another goal:

Real Madrid on the other hand are the guys that really rock. Despite a late goal from Bayern Munich, they really never gave up. They had time eventually and made good use of it to score 2 goals to get them to the finals, that’s a team that knows how to really change a game.
144  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil producing countries experiencing hardship. on: May 08, 2024, 10:22:10 PM
Crude is one of the most valuable natural resources in the world but if you look around many oil producing states are facing serious economic challenges. Before now crude used to be valuable and made many countries wealthy but now nothing like that again. Is it that these natural resources are not enough to keep us going?
Am not sure you did any actual research on this, did you? Else, I just find you yo be speaking out of assumption and probably due to where you’re from and what’s obtainable there as an oil producing nation state.

I would tell you that oil producing states around the world aren’t suffering because the crude isn’t so valuable or lost it’s value, of course that’s not true and only a few nation states suffer this really. There are a good number of oil producing national states that are living in the future. I wouldn’t want to mention any but, you could research on that and see what you would find.

The few nation states that suffer despite having this resource in abundance and those that have got corruption within its ranks of the government and those who don’t have what it takes to refine the crude into its component products for local use and exportation. That’s no fault of anyone but the nation itself.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 08, 2024, 10:14:54 PM
Turning a hobby into a business sounds so fun! But I bet it has its challenges too.  What did you do for fun that you managed to monetize? I wanna hear all about how you went from hobbyist to entrepreneur!

Tell me, what struggles popped up as you worked to turn your passion into a profit? How did you push past them? Got any pro tips you can share to help other hobby lovers try to make it big? I love hearing stories of folks who bet on themselves and won.
Growing up in life as a young teenager, I had this dream that my reality haven’t been the case yet though, it’s something I haven’t let go. You just get to certain points in life where the necessity over whelms the want to do.

Else, it’s a lovely thing when your hobby is the one tinny that is also putting money in your purse. That way, you don’t even get to see it for a job or something that is far from fun but, you just do your thing, joyfully and with everyday pleasure but still, your getting money. It’s like being paid for living, that’s how I see it. Yet, it’s never easy to archive as you need the right opportunity and audience for this and that’s where the deal breaker resides.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: May 07, 2024, 08:13:42 PM

I doubt. I don’t have a statistics to prove and perhaps they are very much some of the most profitable online businesses out there but, they are just a lot of them to look up than leaving the spot for online gambling platforms.

Take a look at the communication sector for an example, am not limiting these to the various apps that exists out there but the service providers as well. These guys gets turn over for everything you do eventually. So long as you need to get online, even for the purpose of accessing them online gambling platforms, you need the services of them service providers to do that.

Don’t forget, it’s a win and lose with gambling where, gamblers are paid with outer gamblers money in most cases and the profits are utilized as applies, that’s to say, some money do go out too. It’s not all loses and loses.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 07, 2024, 08:08:05 PM
I think it’d be a great story if Dortmund got to the final but I have a feeling PSG will really go at them from the first minute tonight.

I think PSG will have too much for the Germans tonight but I am rooting for Dortmund.
It might be a great story for the Dortmund team but even now, I think they’ve come so far to make a good story for themselves. PSG however have been in dire need of this trophy in several seasons past, they’ve had an all stars team and a coach to back it before giving up on having too much for one team to simply work with what’s available and a star man to lead them. Eventually, they are in the semi and have Dortmund to deal with.
Their first leg wasn’t one of their best but, this second leg, they’ve shown lots of potential and attacking qualities but, so did they in the later minutes first leg’s second half. They need a goal or they are gone.
Don’t know which I’ll like to see more in the finals, PSG or Dortmund, 45minutes to decide.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 07, 2024, 07:57:48 PM
Yeah you did and sure you’re getting the last laugh of this round, had him on your team, captained him and there he was with 4 goals to show for it. I just couldn’t believe it but he did come to show his quality once more. I would have loved to have him on my team right now, probably will but, am having difficulty believing in any consistence performance from him, like you said, he could go ahead to give us 5 points but, with a DG at the corner, he could be a right idea I think. Palmer of Isak is an option on the side, their individual teams are scoring lots of goals at the moment and you could always trust them to be in on it the goals or creativity.

Halaalnd is competing not only for the league but also for the golden ball, and Palmer and Isak are putting a lot of pressure on him. He is not going to go blank until the end of the season (I can feel it in my balls), and he is going to score in every game from now on. Competition like this brings out the beast in him. I would not be surprised if he scores another hat trick in one of the upcoming DGW fixtures. If you are trying to keep your current position, not having him now is extremely risky; if you are chasing a rank, not having him is even riskier.

Get Watkins off and buy Haaland.
No thank you, don’t want to imagine where you got those feelings from (your balls).
Wish you didn’t get to add the last line though, so in the event I don’t get to let go of Watkins for Haaland, you don’t talk my head off with it. Still, there are chances that I was looking that up for an option. It’s the DG and a lot of good could come out of such positive challenge on all ends, Haaland, Isak and Palmer,

It seems a lot like a wild speculating that Haaland would have a consecutive hat trick, of course Foden would want in on the scoring I think.
Just a handful of games now, have to make my mistakes and prepare for next season but before then, let me see if I could gain in 100 points on those in the top 5. You guys really made this tough!
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Browsing Old Bitcoin Forums Blows My Mind on: May 07, 2024, 07:51:07 PM
I also came across many old users that still have around like $50,000,000 in their wallets still but havent been active for years. I wonder if these wallets are abandoned. Man this blows my mind its like being in a time machine.
Being in a Time Machine right? Obviously it’s the one thing man can’t have, a chance to reverse the time as this would offset the very balance in nature itself. So, any fantasy of having a chance to buy at such a low price is in the wind. Bitcoin at that price could mean there are no more investors but, we ain’t about that now.

It’s had to imagine anyone who knew what Bitcoin was at that early stage, even with a small price projection to ever abandoning their wallet. The most that could happen is a lost key or having there coins on a non existent exchange but of course, they should have known better.

So we take advantage of the times we have in today to do the most at where we find price, when our resources do allow and the space we’ve got in this forum.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden Final Warning for Bitcoin on: May 07, 2024, 07:41:02 PM
...sorry Edward Snowden, we know you mean good but for now, convenience is king.
Oh wow, you did say that! I wouldn’t have expected it from you but it’s okay, you’re allowed.

Still, it’s better to not risk convince with best fit. Bitcoin and the many services of its kind exists as revolutionary, tends to question the status quo, models to doing things as well as introducing new models to achieving previous means to transacting.

Bitcoin was made to be decentralized which in many ways speaks anonymity and in turn privacy. Hence, not having privacy as some critical level of the innovation as an oversight that shouldn’t be allowed to persist. These are security levels for an ordinary Bitcoin investor.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 06, 2024, 11:59:45 PM
Crystal Palace first, they scored five goals against Westham United, and then  Manchester United victory what is happening to Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace is on fire. If they could have done this earlier rather than now, they would be in a very good place in the rankings. By the way, they also had wins against Liverpool in the last five matches. There is a lot to be said for Manchester United. Even though Erig Tan Hag had very expensive players, they could not meet the expectations.
The season is coming to an end and teams are looking to make the most of their last games before the fixtures are over. Crystal Palace did surprise me with that score line today, I thought Bruno would have been able to come up with a goal for Manchester United but, the whole team just wasn’t able to produce anything spectacular tonight. Ten Hag might as well be ready to lose his job as season ends, Manchester United remains a terrible team still and not even having to buy players to add to this addition would save the team. The teams morale is really low and they need a coach that could boost that up.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you shouldn't force someone to invest in bitcoin. on: May 06, 2024, 11:55:27 PM
You obviously shouldn’t force anyone to do anything, that would make you a tyrant!

Bitcoin or investment as a whole isn’t something you force people to get involved with, you can’t do that in the real sense of the word but, there are ways you can talk to someone and you make them feel as though, they are loosing out to have not taken up the investment opportunity your offering to them, it’s more like, manipulating their minds to think that, they’ve got no choice in this for real.

Well, they technically would be loosing out to have not invested but, you let them find means to come to that conclusion. Even with you having to tutor them, you encourage them to do there own research and only get to invest after they are satisfied that it’s what they would like to be involved with.

If you want answer without all the data Haaland or Palmer in GW37, I would go Haaland since he seems on the rise while Palmer seems a bit less dangerous these days.
See told you guys Haaland is looking dangerous again. Now these 4 goals from him actually make me wanna skip on captaining him. Chasing past points rarely works in FPL, he will be no. 1 transfer target and everyone will give him captain band now. And then he will proceed and get us 5 points or something like that. What is worse I don't really have a choice, I will have to give him captain band just in case to defend my position.
Yeah you did and sure you’re getting the last laugh of this round, had him on your team, captained him and there he was with 4 goals to show for it. 154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 04, 2024, 01:49:23 PM
Arsenal is really having a wonderful time in this second half, as they are all on the ball despite two good opportunities that was lost. Oh shiit... Gabriel  just played a powerful shot inside the back of the net but it was canceled by VAR, because he was offside. The game is on the 88th minutes and it is still 2-0.
I think everyone will guess easily that against Bournemouth it is not difficult for Arsenal, but after this match they will face Manchester United which might be more difficult than Bournemouth, Arsenal needs to wipe out the remaining matches with a win but besides that they also need Waiting for Manchester City to suffer one defeat so they can easily win the EPL title this season, I think Arteta has tried to pressure his team to play as hard as possible so they can finish the remaining matches with good results.
Even then still, I think Arsenal would find a way to win. They’ve got there eyes fixed on the EPL trophy and Arteta with his team knows better than to let loose any good opportunity and that’s what the Arsenal team is about now, taking chances and bagging all 3 points in this game.
Their game with Bournemouth was smooth, they showed dominance all game. The penalty offense was a close one really, K. Havertz did his utmost to ensure contact between himself and Travers, getting the contact and there was only one way the call could go which is, a penalty for Arsenal.
Many other chances was created in the game but, the Gabriel disallowed goal would have been something if it counted, too bad Havertz was offside and had contested for the ball earlier.
Rice again on the score sheet, nice play from him today.
155  Other / Meta / Re: Locked threads on reputation board on: May 04, 2024, 11:32:38 AM
Has anyone (especially the person in question mentioned in the thread) ever reported the locked thread they cannot reply in to the moderators and what was the outcome?
This reminds me of actual situations where you need to have someone standing in as the accuser to have a case. It mustn’t be the affected person or user in this case but the user would be willing to come forth for the case to continue.

I think users who are most affected by this policy and such acts from other users should come in and post their support to this notion about locked threads on the reputation board. It’s a board where one’s reputation is been put to question and having a say where you’re mentioned seems to not be of utmost necessity.

It could be really one sided when your not allowed a word on a course, especially when you’ve got one.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: May 04, 2024, 10:50:07 AM
Your experience is not unique. I think majority of gamblers started that way. If not card games then some coinflips. The whole point is that the exposure started with people whom you know personally from childhood to your student days and then your adult life.

You’re right, it’s not a unique situation as most persons unconsciously started gambling with this method. The games might be different but, followed similar pathway to getting introduced into the game. Next, a gambling habit develops.

Gambling though existed prior to your time, this I’m certain of. Right from the BC and AD, gambling have surfaced, been regulated and even taxed. It’s only recently taken a different fold due to the innovations of our time, despite how it’s differently regarded by persons of different culture and popular beliefs, gambling has been with us still.

Now that we eventually realize the inherent activity we’ve been involved in from an early stage, we have to develop a means of control on how it impacts us else, we would be lost.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 04, 2024, 10:03:37 AM
@trofo - as usual you ignored my question. This season you're just greedy with tips.
Didn't ignore it, I thought you were asking for GW37. I don't think anybody would ever use a TC chip on single GW so I shelved it to answer after all info is known. If you want answer without all the data Haaland or Palmer in GW37, I would go Haaland since he seems on the rise while Palmer seems a bit less dangerous these days.
Haaland on the rise… Just what has he done lately to be on the rise? I’m like last season, I just don’t see Haaland doing any good as much as Isak would do in this GW or the coming GWs. As for Palmer, he might have under performed in his last 2 games but, being the star man for Chelsea puts him in the spotlight to lit the team and his been sought out by most of his team mates now. For Manchester City, I think that person is Foden right now although, Pep’s player rotation can greatly surprise your picked team.

Forgot to do the necessary changes to my team yesterday and was busy watching the Everton game not knowing I had missed my transfer Deadline. All I can do now is hang on to hope!
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Sentenced, Your Bitcoin in their Custody on: May 04, 2024, 09:56:59 AM
Well but 4 months is a laugh, and he won't go to prison, it's all a consequence of a pact. Although if we think about it more broadly this is part of an attack on privacy, for which it seems to be money laundering anything that has to do with protecting it. And the bad news is that it seems to me that this has only just begun.
It’s more like a plight for the government to have an in on the affairs of exchanges out there where the centralized exchanges would be obligated to allow government agencies have absolute control of exchanges by some policy. Binance is centralized and would always be liable to certain attacks.
Everything just plays in line with, you get too big, you become a game for the government to concentrate their attacks on.

While it might be just 4months sentencing, it should rekindle in the minds of users the risk associated with having your asset left hanging on centralized exchanges. I swipe of the sickle and your cut off from your asset.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: May 03, 2024, 10:20:45 AM
Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening
Of course, you must have a role to play that results in an incident else, there wouldn’t be any incident in the first place.

Now, how do you treat an infection, you cut it right from the source. That’s because if you don’t and rather give it a surface treatment, you’ll just have another grow in its place.
Well, this ain’t an infection but, it could be approached in the same way in its treatment. Yeah, you don’t get to get Al scammers from the internet but, it’s the bases that guides our having to teach the young once to be patriotic and morally abide in virtues that would make the space we occupy, either online or offline a safe place to exist.
The surface treat of exposing scam schemes, scam bursting, creating awareness and more would help but, we need to teach our next generation too that these aren’t worth practicing.

As much as I might appreciate you to have done well for yourself, scaling some of the ranks here, have got a sense of belong and learned in a way that it doesn’t reflect you just on the forum but in life as well, I will also like to let you know that, these kind of posts don’t do much good to this board.

There was a time we had users that saw the need to celebrate this and that and those users where mostly attacked or seen to be fishing for merit, people had different take on these topics though but, it brought about the need to create a mega thread for users with the need to celebrate or note an event. The thread is on the reputation board, Announce your rank up, merit or any achievement that makes you feel great! by BitcoinGirl.Club. This was in an attempt to reduce low quality posts and avoid opening windows for spammers to take over the thread.
So yeah, just imagine if every other beginner comes up with this sort of thread, we might as well have a problem on our hands.
While this might not be a merit or rank up event, am pretty sure it’s you talking about some achievement that made you feel great, hence it’s a good fit on that thread.

I would advise that you lock this thread and in future, make use of the referenced thread. It’s more appropriate and welcoming.
