I say just average performance by Ryan, sure the power is there, but I think Davis has more power than Ryan. He doesn't have that head movement, he just keeps coming straight. And if he fight like that against Davis, who is very cerebral in the ring, for sure he will get knock out by that. It's a win though so no question about it, but it's just a so so performance and everyone expected that he should knock out Fortuna which he did.
It's just like a tune up match, Ryan Garcia displayed his usual fighting style but still needs to work on some stuff. I'm more impressed by Javier Fortuna when he got knocked out then spit his mouth piece to buy some time to recover, what a veteran move. I hope the fight bet Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davi will happen this end of the year. |

So about this, what rank should a fighter be to get a shot at the title holder?
Alex Pereira should first have 2-3 fights against top15 fighters to be able to have a title fight. Or lets say in more simple words - make a series of 5-8 straight wins and you will among first contestants for a title fight. As to Khamzat and Pereira, Khamzan is in the different weight division. It is unlikely they will fight. First of all, because Khamzat aims for a title fight in welterweight. Second - you probably have seen a tweet or something like that where Khamzat challenges Pereira. Khamzat is such a guy that challenges everyone  He is ready to fight two Ngannou at once So Khamzat vs Pereira is fake. For me Alex Pereira has already earned his ticket for the Middleweight Championship like Michael Chandler he deserves it also. And I know the majority of the fans want this fight to be set as soon as possible, hopingly this 4th quarter of the year. Spence has the 3 belts (WBC, IBF, and WBA recently from defeating Ugas) so he has done more cleaning in this division than Crawford did because he only got the WBO belt since 2018.
That is because Terence Crawford never had a chance to compete with big names under Top Rank promotions which he always requested. Also, the fact that Spence is dodging Crawford because the latter thinks it's not worth his time. Spence on the other hand always got his preferred fight and make sure he will win all his title fights and that's what he is today claiming 3 Championship belts under WBC, IBF, and WBA as you have mentioned. In Terence Crawford's fight history, the expected fight against Spence will be the biggest fight in his career. If he was able to unify all the Welterweight titles beating Spence if ever, Crawford will now begin to move up weight to extend some good credentials on his career. He has lots of targets if successfully defeated Spence in the process. That's also why he decides to leave and didn't re-sign under the roof of the Top Rank Promotions after he fought and won against Shawn Porter. Bob Arum was just milking him too much without understanding his boxers as they too have boxers in my mind to help them in climbing the ladder. Now that he's a free agent, he can decide anything and will earn more without giving some cut to his promoters. Are there any updates about this fight? Hopefully, they can announce it before the end of June. I remember that time when Terence Crawford dropped a bomb to Bob Arum that he's moving forward with his career without him. Good for him that he addressed the issue in a live interview after the fight with Shawn Porter. Hopefully the fight will push through accordingly without any excuses before the fight. I'm also waiting for the update of their match, hopefully, it should be targeted this 4th quarter of the year. |

Jiri Prochazka vs Glover Teixeira - Insane Fight of the Night! I'm very shocked that Glover Teixeira dominated Jiri in the very first two rounds. He missed two very crucial chances to TKO Jiri for an unnecessary submission attempt. Anyways, congratulations for the both of them displaying a bloodbath fight and sportsmanship. I don't want to see a rematch for this fight, obviously Jiri will win because of the age gap and it's a big factor. If Glover Teixeira was in his 30's probably either of them will sleep on the canvas.
