A Ddos is not a solution, and i hate the ddos attacks, but a fee its too not a solution and the new fee its abusive.
The abuse is demanding pools offer a payout method that forces them to risk bankruptcy so that greedy miners can make a short term profit. PPS is no longer a viable payout method so I would suggest getting used to that idea. I agree pps is to risky now unless a pool charges higher fees or runs other methods and only allows so many to use pps at a time. Sad thing most in bitcoin are only out for themselfs they dont think about others or what it takes to run a pool. I liked using getwork cause i was selling the namecoins and getwork was less laggy on my network for some reason but i have switched all my boxes to stratum now and with newer cgminer lags gone it seems. |

Btcguild page works on and off, I have to retry at least 10 times until it finally loaded, it seems that you are still under attack  Lol i havet been able to get to the website all day not 1 time my miners are working on stratum so hope shares are being counted correctly. |

ETA for more PP and Dwolla ?  lol they came and they went you gota almost refresh the site every 30 mins to catch funds befor they run out. But it makes sence sence they are the best to covert coins cheapest fees and fast turnaround. |

Is ozcoin paying out right now a friend has been waiitng a week to get a payout.
Nm got it to payout had to play with differt addresses and change the auto payout around a few times.

Just wondering did everyones total credit get reset to 0 cause of the hack i see a last payment on the 19 that i never got im guessing thats when the hacker recieved all the payouts.

A pool makes coins by solving blocks. With PPS (which we now BTW have proven to be a not so intelligent practice) you have the possibility that stolen coins are sent out. Most pools use mined blocks to pay their miners though.
What you have to realize here is that nothing is perfect, but the traceability of stolen coins is actually a good thing for BTC. Governements AND people will adopt it quicker, value will be more stable.
Also tracking is not an issue, it's called hashing.
Maybe i shoulda worded it differt what i ment is say a pool pays its miners with stolen coins and keeps the clean ones would seem that would be hard to track down every coin sence they would be all over the place. |

Yes I realize that, but really it's a non problem, as people don't give money away. If they did I would have to use a wallet tool to separate the bad coins.
Actually now that you mention it I DID get a donation, will use that as my first test address. That would be fun if they where stolen. The probability is high!
Well what if say a pool was paying out in stolen coins from the start those coins would be all over the place now and would be nearly impossable to track it would seem. |

Why didnt you use offline wallet for 900 of the 1000 coins?

Nice to know whats up im retired from mining now and been sick and was working 12hr days so didnt keep up on what was happening just noticed i waset paid when i jumped on the pc to let the bitcoin client update.

I know payment was withhold for PPS, however as Graet now moved all users to DGM i'm having an open balance of about 7 BTC (confirmed).
My payment threshold is currently 2.0 BTC.
Are ALL payments (of any mining type) currently suspended?
I have about .10 pending from dgm it looks like and .063 from pps i only have 2.4ghash so not worth mining now waiting for all my coins to sell them to fastcash to convert to paypal. |

I have done 7 transactions with fastcash4bitcoins all went perfect and fast they are my goto site to change my coins.

Looks like payouts are stuck again, and the website is not updating (showing 0 ghps as the pool and worker hashrate), although my workers are reporting they are submitting shares. At this point I'm not sure if the shares are going into limbo ... nighttime in Australia for a few more hours so it will be a while yet until Graet wakes up.  Same my credit haset changed in hrs hope they are still getting counted in the background. |

No matter how many times it happens seeing my miners work and no site updates makes me nervous.
at $140USD a BTC my stomach is turning.....
Always makes me worry to after i mined for abc pool and got screwed out of coins when they had problems and never would credit me the lost coins. And my pps coins haset changed 15mins of mining with about 2300mhash. |

Wondering if say we are using http://us.ozco.in and port 8332 will it auto switch to stratum or will we have to update every client. Iv always had lag problems with stratum so not sure whats going to happen when you turn off the getwork servers. looking into setting up a proxy on port8332 so getwork only miners can still mine V2 blocks this will mean merged mining of Namecoin will cease i see im gonna try stratum again see if it will run on my network without causing insane amounts of lag wont be much longer befor my 2.4ghash wont be worth using tho. |
