141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Crypto Currency? on: August 25, 2018, 08:36:51 PM
I just wanted to  know what are your plans on your cryptocurrency in the future?

Do you plan to keep on investing?
Do you plan to exchange your crypto in fiat and leave crypto?
Will crypto survive?
My answer is number 2.
I currently have some tokens from bounties but their price is much below ico price. So I will wait for the market recovery and will turn them into fiat as I initially planned.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: August 25, 2018, 08:23:32 PM
I think it's a normal price considering that it's summer now, I think in a month or two, everything will be restored, now is a good time to buy an eth  Tongue Tongue
Everybody is just fed up with all those ICOs and unreliable projects that won't even make a ready code or follow their own roadmap. So the price of Eth seems to be normal now taking into account the general lack of interest in crypto over the past few months.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: August 23, 2018, 02:28:11 PM
So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
If you have already lost 50%, I would suggest you to wait for another cyclical bull run and then get rid of all those trons and cardanos.
I am not sure about the exact date of the next bull run ( Grin), but many people say it could happen in the nearest months when final decisions are taken about bitcoin ETF.
So if you waited for so long after the crash, why can't you wait for yet another several months?
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: August 23, 2018, 02:23:06 PM
I've always been saying that full decentralization will bring absolute and uncontrolled chaos to our structurized societies.
This will be catastrophic and will destroy all the institutions that were so hard to build after yet another revolution.
Yes, Bitcoin in its current state is a symbol of freedom to do what you want with your money, but is shold be given at least a small extent of regulation.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Future of Economy! on: August 23, 2018, 02:15:53 PM
Now we can see some countries are regulating bitcoin and some government don't like it.Otherwise Bitcoin hasn't a stable price.
So my question is can bitcoin be a main currency of world economy?
No, it can't be, since all economic activities should be strictly regulated in order to avoid abusion by the market players of the rights of all other players.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general do not provide that centralized instrument of control - their intended use is exactly the opposite (deregulation and freedom of business and finance).
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: August 23, 2018, 02:10:30 PM
Despite all the people saying that "taxes are stolen" and "there is no need in spending millions of dollars on Mars missions" all the convenience of modern civilization wouldn't have been possible without taxes.
Yes, taxation is a centralized enforcement of the state's right for violence, but it helps to structurize the activity of billions of people which would have been absolutely chaotic without the government's intrusion.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Increasing number of celebrities endorsing cryptocurrency on: August 23, 2018, 01:11:00 PM
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is launching a cryptocurrency in his own name, joining other famous sportsmen including Manny Pacquiao in a new venture to connect with fans.

The retired England star announced Wednesday his investment in the Singapore-based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) as he unveiled the “Owen Coin”.

Could this be a booster to cryptocurrency because these celebrities have big influence world wide and could invariably canvass more support for cryptocurrency.
All these celebrities are just promoting themselves. This new coin has nothing to do with blockchain, payments and data storage, it's just another method of "hyping" their own popularity.
Still, after the launch of this Owen coin more people will at least get to know what crypto is in principle.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin online payments on: August 22, 2018, 01:42:02 PM
When will the youtube and other websites start to pay us with bitcoin?
Paying us for watching their videos and consuming their web content you mean? I think that could happen not earlier than in several years when btc becomes less volatile and more stable.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in business industry on: August 22, 2018, 01:39:14 PM
I am wondering if there's a huge probability of bitcoin investing will become a company's focus. Like making a company that specializes investing of bitcoins

Any thoughts? Smiley
I am sure there are already such companies uniting at least a dozen of workers (each spezializing in a certain branch of investing in crypto.
At the same time, there is no comprehensive legislation in the sphere of crypto, so I wonder what legal status will such a company have?
150  Economy / Economics / Re: why the state does not print a lot of money? on: August 22, 2018, 01:34:15 PM
why the state does not print a lot of money? than debt to other countries. is not it easier to make money than debt and ultimately burdens the state?

whether if printing money will have an impact on the money itself? or will it impact the value of the money in the eyes of the world?
Ideally, money should be supported by gold reserve and gross domestic product of the country. If there is too much printed money their value goes down, and inflation starts - and that can lead to collapse of the economy.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will control the world economy!!!!! is it true? on: August 22, 2018, 01:30:26 PM
Some media shows that bitcoin can be the next weapon to control the world economy. i think it is true and it will be seen soon.
Bitcoin could become the locomotive of the world's economy, but not now and not even in 5 years. There is still great resistance from the side of governments and banking institution, so it will take a lot of time for btc to overcome all the obstacles.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about Crypto currency future on: August 22, 2018, 01:03:16 PM
What do you thing, where crypto currency is going? Do you think this is end of crypto?
Crypto will end only in case of a natural disaster resulting in the destruction of electricity infrastructure.
What is happening now is only temporary difficulties, and I hope that soon coins will go up again.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment? on: August 21, 2018, 09:45:05 AM
We had a very interesting discussion over the weekend and people debated if it was better to invest in property or to invest in Bitcoin. The argument was as follows :

1. Most people cannot afford to buy property, so they take a home loan at a Bank. The home loan is paid back with interest and some of these loans are spread out over 20 years to make it affordable to the person who takes out the loan. So, over that 20 years the house of $100 000 will cost you say $1 000 000. {$900 000 paid in interest}

The argument is also that the property has to increase in value, with more than $900 000 for you to say that it was a good investment AND you have to sell that property to get that profit.

2. The other side of the room said it was better to rent a smaller property and to invest the "savings" into something like Bitcoin, because your profit will pay for a bigger deposit or even a whole property in a few years time.

I think paying a high interest rate to a Bank is just as bad as paying rent to a Landlord, because you are getting screwed in both these circumstances.  Angry

We all want to live in big houses that we cannot afford.  Roll Eyes
Oh come on, where did you get those interest rates ($900k interest for a loan of $100k)? This is absolutely unrealistic!
Then, the comparison of the banks' interest rate with rent to a landlord is also incorrect: after you have successfully paid out the loan you get the house/flat into your own PROPERTY, i.e. you can do whatever you want with it (give it to your offsprings, sell it at a higher price, take second mortgage credit, etc.).
So I would prefer taking loan and having a property instead of the possibility to lose all my money in a market crash.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin future on: August 21, 2018, 09:31:59 AM

I wonder what you did with your alts in December 2017 (just a couple of months after you wrote this post).
Did you sell them at like x3-x10-x100?
I just hope that you managed to get the best profit during this blessed crypto bull run  Wink
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunters Dump Always? on: August 21, 2018, 09:23:23 AM
Do all bounty hunters dump Cryptos after they get paid?

I believe this is not a fair assessment as a lot has to do with the crypto project itself.

Its a matter of perspective really, not all bounty hunters have the same experience or motive, some people just need an opportunity to get crypto for projects that are very difficult to get in the token sales, Example is Ncash tokens of Nucleus.Vision the project has a 1 million USD budget and it is still above ICO price even in the bear market.

Additionally some projects treat bought hunters badly which will not encourage them to stick around for much longer after they get their tokens.

I believe tokens or coins getting dumped by bounty hunters depends a lot on the project itself.
You have a point here.
Moreover, it is unfair to list tokens on exchanges before bounty hunters get paid. In such a case tokens can lose up to 90% of their price, which is extremely discouraging - you actually do not get the reward you expected.
So the problem of dumping has nothing to do with bounty hunters but with the marketing strategy of the project itself.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the challenges for investment with Small capital? on: August 21, 2018, 09:17:45 AM
In the study of economics, Investment mean any addition in physical stock as well as stock of finished goods,  or you can say any putting money in anything for the motive of profit.I want to know your opinion that what are main challenges for small investors in any type of business now a days, If he/she has nothing after his investment?

In normal countries small and medium scale enterpreneurs form the basis of economy - they give jobs to the population and reduce social tension.
Investing in such businesses could be a nice way to gain a steady and less stressful profit if compared with bigger investments - if some kind of force majeur happens you will lose just a small amount of money which could be easily returned by insurance company.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: August 21, 2018, 09:04:50 AM
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?
Spare funds should not be hoarded, apparently it is a wise thing to invest them so that they could bring profit.
And here comes the main problem of choice - WHERE to invest?
Bank deposits are not as profitable as playing with crypto, but are much more reliable. So I would prefer keeping 10% of those saved money on a deposit and trying to multiply the remaining 10% by investing in crypto.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Account on: August 21, 2018, 08:58:18 AM
Every month, your employer transfers Bitcoins into a time-locked address that can't be transferred out before you reach retirement age.  You have the key to the address.  You can verify the transfer on the blockchain.

No middle-men.  No funny business.  No brokers with pyramid/eyeball shaped logos.  No "oops we went bankrupt and lost your retirement."  No bail-ins.  No raising the age of retirement.

Just Bitcoin.
Things have definitely changed a lot since 2014 when this post was written.
It could be a nice idea, but only after the price of btc stabilizes so that there are no complaints like "oops, I just lost around 30% of my retirement savings because of yet another market crash".
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing more than 10k worth it? on: August 15, 2018, 07:28:58 PM
is it a gambling habit that you invest more than 10k? most people that are into crypto are working and taking classes at the same time. only to take loans for school to put into crypto. should you invest more than 10-30k dollars worth of crypto? back then people are investing only 1,000 to 5,000 into bitcoin. how serious is crypto. back than i hear people opening 2nd loans from their homes. but now it has quiet down a bit.
Most investors usually start with several thousand dollars (up to $5k) and monitor how it goes. If they manage to do some profit, more can be invested.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to pick best signature campaign on: August 15, 2018, 07:26:28 PM
What criteria do you guys use to pick your signature campaigns.  With some of them lasting 2-3 months it seems like a critical decision and I'm not quite sure how to go about it.  With all the scams out there I am fearful of picking a junker which not only hurts me but the people looking at my promotions.  I would like to have one picked out for when I switch over to Jr Member.

I usually do preliminary calculations of profit before entering a signature campaign. Mostly that factor becomes determinative. I also monitor the activity of bounty manager in telegram group.
