141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW CIVILIAN TOR Browser + blockchain tech. FROM CHINA! on: July 30, 2015, 05:03:33 PM

The implications of this are crazy...we are due for a new Tor as it has been comprimised.

VPNCoin
VPNCoin is the driving force behind Bitnet. It’s the epicenter of the utilities included in the client because the client is first and foremost an alt-coin wallet. It goes deeper than that, though. A decentralized trade market is embedded in Bitnet. Its intrinsic currency is obviously going to be VPNCoin.

Why do you say Tor is compromised ? I think some of the other altcoins have also claimed to make something like this, but doesn't seem most of them were successful enough.
142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whats The Best way to buy 10 BITCOINS on: July 30, 2015, 02:02:08 PM
Hello! I want to buy 10 BTC right now. whats the best way to do it?

I have my account on BOA but im not an US citizen, so i can't use COINBASE or CIRCLE.

LBC only accepts cash deposit, and i'm not in the US either, so i can't do it.

and any others i found only really rise the price of bitcoin by 15 dollars or more.

Is there any exchange located in the US that uses ACH?

If its not an immediate need then you can start an ad on localbitcoins with the lowest rate for BoA and sell it. I have bought and sold on LBTC with BOA before and the rates are usually really bad, but selling as a trader at bitstamp could easily get you a lot of people to sell bitcoins to you for a BoA transfer to their account. Else just consider registering to an exchange  .

Converting all of your coin to fiat is not a sound thing to do. Of course you must convert some of it to pay expenses, but you should always have a large reserve in case it's needed.

If you read again , I didn't say convert your coins to fiat, but I said a site owner could have his bankroll in fiat and could be converting his fiat to bitcoin at the time of a gambler cashing out .
144  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin casino's that don't have cold storage proof on: July 30, 2015, 03:42:47 AM
In that case you really can't do anything. If you plan on playing with a big amount then why would you in the first place go play online at an unlicensed casino , instead of flying out for a few hundred dollars to a live casino which is going to be a much better experience than playing online.

I would rather not get on a plane every time I want to make a large bet! It's a 3 hour drive to the nearest airport for me, then there's all the hassle of checking in, waiting in line, sitting on a plane for hours. I'd also have to convert my money into some kind of fiat before the casino would let me buy chips, then convert it back again if I won. I think I prefer to keep playing online.

Probably its a thing about personal preference then. I feel better when I gamble at a place like Vegas than in my house. And its actually common that high rollers tend to gamble only for shorter periods of time or only for a matter of days most of the time.

As for financial management, sites which don't accept investments might not have their holdings in bitcoin and might actually be converting fiat to bitcoin at the instant a high roller winner requests a cash out as holding onto bitcoin is not a good way for a casino to manage their house bankroll which might have been converted to bitcoin from fiat in the first place.

If your maximum payout is a certain amount of BTC then it is dangerous to keep your bankroll in fiat. The price of Bitcoin can change very quickly and could leave you unable to afford the maximum payout any more.

Suppose I'm offering a maximum payout of 100 BTC, and figure that since my games have a 10% house edge I'm able to support such a payout with a 1000 BTC bankroll. But then I decide to keep the money in USD. So I have $300k put aside as the site's bankroll. Then over the next few weeks the price of Bitcoin shoots up to $1000 each. My $300k is now only worth 300 BTC and the maximum payout now represents 30% of my bankroll. That's horrible bankroll management.

I guess I could regularly adjust the maximum payout such that it's always worth the same number of dollars, so that it always represents the same percentage of my dollar-denominated bankroll. And maybe that's what some of these places are doing: using Bitcoin more like it was Neteller - just a way of moving dollars around, rather than as a currency in its own right.

Wouldn't it be true and also more dangerous the other way round ? IF a casino had converted 5000 BTC(assuming its a big one) to fiat an year back then it would consider its initial investment to be that value ie 5000*600. And after an year(today) there money would have become half only because of that volatility, so they are actually gambling on the price along with gambling against the gamblers over that one year.
Considering the case of a high roller coming today , the casino would consider his buy in at todays price and will also likely be cashing out at a much similar price instead of waiting for an year and POSSIBLY losing the amount only by holding. They can also gain by holding but its an extra gamble the casinos will be taking.
145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin casino's that don't have cold storage proof on: July 29, 2015, 08:23:50 AM
Cold storage primarily applies to only sites that accept investments. Otherwise most of the casinos like Coinroyale/Fortunejack , don't really have to provide proof of funds.

why not?

There has been multiple issues with gambling sites with horrible financial management, Even some market leaders were run as ponzi schemes.
Every little bit of assurance the player can get should be offered, There is no reason not to.

It might be that those casinos might be accepting a higher bet and giving higher payout. So by not showing the funds they might default on payouts of people who might win a big amount.

For example if someone wins around 5000 BTC , then the casino could just default on his/her payment and refuse it and shutdown if they dont have the money to pay them out.

In that case you really can't do anything. If you plan on playing with a big amount then why would you in the first place go play online at an unlicensed casino , instead of flying out for a few hundred dollars to a live casino which is going to be a much better experience than playing online.

Looks like the site and the faq has been copied from some other old site  https://www.knqpoker.eu/en/about .
I am sure this site is likely not legit.

nice information
Thank's friend Smiley

i think this site copying scrypt from kngpoker

any 1 succes get 5$ and playing ? or withdraw it ?

Copying the script isn't much of a problem . But blatantly copying everything without taking any efforts is. I am not sure how legit their 5$ offer is, but I doubt you will be able to withdraw it right away as mostly they require you to gamble 4-5x times bonus amount.

149  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Is There No Bitcoin Slot Machine In Vegas? on: July 28, 2015, 08:06:05 PM
I thought there was something related to bitcoin in las vegas,in a casino where you could play with bitcoin
don't someone remember it?

I don't think there were any which accepted it for gambling. http://www.coindesk.com/vegas-casinos-announce-bitcoin-acceptance-gambling/
Golden gate had a good ad outside the hotel http://imgur.com/RN7gmqN

But on going in, it seemed to have been only usable at their hotels and restaurants , but not the gambling joints.

Not exactly the kind of poker he is looking for.

any , reliable sites to play whit bitcoin?

i used to play on pokerstars but they are not acccetping bitcoins yet Tongue

You can still deposit on Stars with bitcoins through Neteller. Since Neteller now accepts it, I doubt stars will chose to accept it directly in the future.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: July 28, 2015, 08:00:58 PM
I used to like poker when my country was still allowed to play at pokerstars. Now I do not play much anywhere. I do play Bitcoin poker every now and then, but its so small that I cannot get anywhere near the volume I could get on Pokerstars or Fulltilt.
Kind of the same problem with me. I am staying in US more than 10 months an year and get to play on stars only for 2 months. Its definitely the best form of gambling as it is the only one with skill. I wish there were other sites which allowed to multitable and offered the same features as Stars.
152  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Is There No Bitcoin Slot Machine In Vegas? on: July 28, 2015, 05:40:37 AM
What would be cool is a whole Bitcoin Casino in Vegas! Imagine doing all your gambling and winning all your winnings in bitcoin! Why is this not a thing already?

Would definitely be cool to not have to use quarters to do the gambling , but its more fun that way. One possible reason could be that the machine will have to be connected to the internet thus hacking is a risk.

most machines do not take coins(quarters) anymore. they work on ticket system.

it will be very cool if machine accept physical bitcoins instead of regular coins... it will be fun to gamble in real casino with bitcoins with instant payouts.. casino owners like cash only that is the reason

Last I visited Vegas was beginning of 2014 , was quarters till then. Some might have started adopting cash for token. One thing I remember was the high fees charged by ATM's to cash money out of cards , it was around 20% or more I believe and the whole strip had only 1 BoA ATM on it. They benefit a lot by taking cash and hence the probable reason to do so.
153  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Confront scammer on: July 27, 2015, 11:31:38 PM
You can call the center and ask for the contact details of the person running the fundraiser and call him. Since its a fundraiser, they will likely give you their number .

If they don't use your video then it will be embarrassing for you or anyone to even go in for the 40$. Doesn't fiverr ask for payment beforehand ?

155  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to accept payment with bitcoin on: July 27, 2015, 04:47:38 PM
Hello i want to know about bitcoin site or network where anone can sent and recive money to using my owned btc website as like btc-e

so if anyone have idea please reply me
If you want your shop to have automated payment system you can use bitpay or coinbase Cheesy
Or maybe use old-styled manual payment system where you check your customers payment in your wallet (a bit hassle)

Would also suggest Bitpay and would probably recommend it more than bitpay . I also heard that bitpay doesn't sell the bitcoins immediately so that is an advantage it has over Coinbase.
156  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack tournament on: July 27, 2015, 03:14:34 PM

157  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 26, 2015, 08:18:30 PM
Huge Sunday lineup that includes the 5k, 20k, and 75k Krillrolls coming up,

That's over 10.5 BTC GTD just in those tournaments... plus there are more tournaments and small freerolls running in between and after.

Thats definitely a good lineup. Perhaps they should spend that money on expediting other clients. Already been 6 months + extra testing time since they launched the new software without the mac or html version . Not the best move on leaving out the other client users for that long .
158  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you expect from Lottery sites? on: July 26, 2015, 08:05:13 PM
Lottery sites with GTD payouts which makes buying a ticket +EV at times would probably also  be another feature I would look forward to . Its really hard to make a lottery site much popular these days.

I can see this viewpoint, everyone on the team can actually... we are pretty reasonable folks.

If James was a bit more mature and chose to deal with this situation in a more "adult" fashion, as opposed to slandering a company that's been in operations for 2.5 years without issue - maybe the outcome of his situation would be entirely different.

We will reach out to James to rectify the situation like adults and not through the forums.

This is incredibly childish and petty, we've never not paid a player, and this is actually the first time we've ever held an affiliate payment. The amount in question is 0.14 btc.

We've had several email exchanges with James on this matter, and given the hostility from James, his threats, and general reluctance to be reasonable on the matter - we decided to no longer pay him as an affiliate, this was after he stopped linking to BitcoinRush.

Full disclosure, the amount withheld from his account was ~0.14 BTC. Over the life of his account - he was paid 5.2451 BTC without issue.

Could you please let us know how much you had in your account that they won't allow you to withdraw?

Its a small amount, less than a bitcoin, but that does not change anything really.
If you guys chose to terminate his affiliate payment, it is still not ethical to block his affiliate amount earned from the past. The amount is not in question. Just in a similar way someone who criticizes your casino and has some balance on his account on your site, shouldn't have his funds frozen.

I am sure you guys will probably sort it out, but since you guys are running a professional company, therefore resorting to freezing(equivalent to stealing) customer funds only because he didn't rate your casino high enough or slandered your name is also not mature.
Hope you guys sort it out .
