141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Las Vegas coin (VGS) *LIMXDEV COIN* ONLY 330,000 coins. 1000 coins for MN on: February 25, 2018, 11:13:09 PM
I downloaded the new wallet and all seemed to be working fine and now today when I woke up and checked it, there was no active connections? I never had this problem with the old wallet. Is there a way I can get back the active connections, I know I can add nodes which I have done but not luck with getting active connections so I'm back to using the older wallet for now.

One thing you can try is go to "tools", then wallet repair, then choose "zapwallettxes=1"

Okay thanks vegasguy! I'll give this a try and see how it goes as I've had to do this a few times with the old wallet I'm currently using when I had a power outage and the wallet wouldn't stake after the wallet re-synced. Once I did this the wallet would stake again so I'll see how I go, thanks.

If all else fails go here and look on the left column, and scroll to the bottom and click "copy addnodes".

Such a great developer he is but one thing he keeps working and developing more projects im afraid that he dont develop  these projects fully, we need new updates on las vegas coin , new wallets for  linux so we could run masternode on vps need find a way to take off ,get more peoples involved in our project, create roadmap and etc ,I understand we are very in the begining, I believe we will achieve a lot of things on this project in near future

Ok here is the linux version.

Ill be honest, I have no idea how to setup a vps. Is 200 VGS too low of a bounty for a very detailed walkthrough on how to set up a vps for las vegas coin?

Mac Wallet built from master.  The Darksend errors turned out to be due to the string updates, the magic hashing prefix having changed from previous wallets.  This is now reverted but can be put back in with the MN reward update as everyone will have to update their wallets then anyway.

Here it is:

Thunderbolt Bus: MacBook Air, Apple Inc., 27.2

I will attempt on my other MacBook Air and see if it is an update issue.

I tried it on a plain MacBook Air with no build tools for wallets.

MM, if confirmed not working, do you have the time to compile? 100 VGS bounty. We also need a Linux wallet for 50 VGS.

Also we are on version 2.0.0.1

Is Golden Eagle, the wallet used for staking XDE2? If so, how long does it take to sync? If not, what is the wallet used for staking XDE2?
Thanks

The correct wallets are on the OP. I will upload a current blockchain soon to speed syncing.

I am a noob to XDE2. Can you tell me the coins future and convince me why I should buy more? Thanks in advance.

XDE2 is all about promoting. The biggest promoters get ALL the perks, including higher interest wallets, and paid weekly in XDE2. Also if you buy now, youll be at 300% POS. Then in a few weeks to stop inflation it goes down to 30% pos. Future payments to promoters will go into a locked address for 6 months to 1 year, so they will be unable to dump the coins and hurt the price.

Does anyone recommend to buy those coins?

Never ask from someone to recommend you where to invest your money. There is always have a risk.
You have to investigate yourself and after that to decide will you invest your money in any coins/project.

Perfect said. You must do your own research. As not to be biased, here are some hints to eliminate 98% of the crap coins out there.

Here is what to NEVER do!!!

1. NEVER Buy an ICO. Guaranteed 99.99999% loss!!!
2. NEVER Invest in a coin were the dev is a newbie. Here is why: The dev has a strong influence on the direction and strength of a coin. There is a reason why the newbie dev is not using his Ledgendary account, and that is because he is not staying around. But, it does NOT guarantee that a legendary member will stick around either, but its not a 100% guarantee he will abandon the project after a few weeks/months like all the newbie devs.
3. Check the mood of the thread. Are people angry? If so avoid!!! If they seem happy, then continue to look.

So , hopefully I have eliminated 98% of the coins you should NEVER touch. Take your time with the other 2%.  I will strongly endorse DMD. I am not affiliated with dmd, but I DO know most of the investors very well as well as the Coin OP, Cryptonit, can be trusted 1000%. Also you can safely invest in ANY/ALL Limxdev coins. He is 1000% honest also. He has many coins to choose from, including Bitsend , Bitcore, and more.

Here is his git.

https://github.com/LIMXTEC

The top 7 coins are ALL awesome!!

All of these coins are safe to invest in because of his extreme trust level.  Also buy LOADS of ltc Wink LTC is simply my opinion.

I think we won’t get listed on CoinMarketCap until we have more volume. My plan is to get it listed on all of the Naster known block explores after we update the Wallet to hire rewards for the nasty notes within an attractive ROI

Guys, if you invested into XDE2 , youll be REALLY glad you did Smiley We are going to run a couple more weeks at high POS, then back to 30%.

Limxdev runs many big projects, and does not have the time to dev the next wallet. Is there someone out that that can be our new dev that is capable of making these changes in exchange for VGS coins as payment? Do you know a good talented dev? 100 VGS bounty to find us a dev that completes the work.

Guys Las Vegas coin is a mere $1 right now. Thats just $1000 to get a masternode that with the next update will have a VERY fast ROI now, and even faster with the next wallet release.

Sigh... You know, there is no need for me to answer any of these questions.. But I will answer them anyway..

1: Your question is mixing up things and is not correct.. I thought I was capable, but I failed on some security parts.. learn to read other posts..
2: There is nothing to show/release if the end product is not secure.
3: We're switching to Telegram, slack sucks.. again, this was already said.
4: Sold some to fund servers, bought some, traded some, staked some.. Why? I can't use donations? Why send them in the first place...
5: Yes... Don't ask me when, I will ninja release it in the future if  the security issues are solved..
6: I'm not communicating as often as some of you would want me to, but I do communicate...

I'm saying this to everyone who has doubts or accuse me of being filth whatever..
I'm not here to release insecure trading software to a community and I'm certainly not here to hold someone's hand on the bumpy road to get there... If you invested because you had faith in this project, I can only say.. That's the reason I'm still here.. That's the reason I dont run from a project.. But here I am, aswering questions to people like I'm some sort of criminal.. I guess being honest, and telling people I failed is not received well by some people.. Thats ok though, don't forget to shut the door on your way out if you want to leave...

First of all, thank you for clearing things up. These were all valid questions (imo) that needed to be addressed and in my perspective questions that were more than normal to be answered. You take an offensive stance all the time, while you clearly don't see what is wrong with that. If you would communicate on a more regular basis instead of just missing deadlines and disappearing all the time there wouldn't be that many questions..

Put yourself in an investors position: weeks of no communication, missing beta deadline, weeks after beta the developer shows up and tells your there are security issues and you are off for weeks again, show up here on the forum after closing Slack, encouraging the dumpfest and ignoring questions. Obviously that leads to let people believe you are a scammer, which is not that weird to be honest. Anyways, lets move forward and hope that after all PIO is going places except the bin.

I just wonder when will people run out of patience, and what will be the turning point where enough is enough. My impression is he's now trying to earn time in order to give the investors something that could restore his reputation. Question is what is this something that could be accepted as a replacement for the exchange. A new coin? doubt it

Tom, clearly youve been around long enough to know Banzai has a flawless rep, and is one of the most respected members of the crypto community. It tells me everything that he wont rush a product that has security issues. @Banzai take your time, show a GREAT product!! Get some other devs to help you. There is nothing worse than a hacked exchange, and YOU would be on the hook for all the stolen funds, AND  a destroyed reputation that would be unrepairable!! As a coin OP myself, I am also constantly under pressure to release the next update. Years ago I fell in to that and released wallets that were buggy. Those days are over. I will make everyone wait, and release a flawless product. I would wait until next year, or the year after, as it would be the best exchange EVER. I own a data center in Las Vegas with a 1 Gps upload and download speed, in case you need the speed. I also have a server you can rent out thats a monster. I dont want any money, just a bit of your time to do some small wallet changes.

Trying to build the latest release instead of master - the build syncs successfully and there are a lot of Darksend verify errors in the log so I have a feeling that the recent string changes on master might have broken this, causing the node connections to be dumped after sync.

Latest release successfully built, MN up, hypothesis verified.  I have a working Mac wallet.

Darksend errors (CDarKsendSigner::VerifyMessage -- keys don't match) occurring when I build from master, I went through all the string changes and apart from a couple of missing bits everything seems fine regarding those.  I now think the cause of the error is somewhere in here:

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/LasVegasCoin2/commit/dbe3e5e7544b260112e2fc8205b2c1c447330ced

I've submitted a PR for a load of tweaks and string changes.  Vegasguy, let me know if you want the DMG for v2.0.0.1...

Yes , please post. To everyone, as this is not from me,use at your own risk.

Guys, I think there should be a limit on how many Las Vegas coins there should be. I’ll lock the current poll, and display the results for about a week,  then create a new one with some options between 1-2 million coins total.
