141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many halvings have you witnessed? on: October 17, 2023, 12:36:52 PM
This is going to be my first halving experience. I have read that historically the prices of Bitcoin increases such that you should expect a bull run after the event. But every halving is different. During the last halving, there were no  etf's applications, institutional interest in Bitcoin, political interest in Bitcoin and the recent innovations in Bitcoin. What we are doing is just hanging on and hoping that history will repeat itself and be favourable to us as always.

Even though you have never experienced a bull season before, your perspective on the market is very good, completely different from others.  people just cling to history and insist that everything will repeat itself.  People ignore other factors such as the popularity of bitcoin, large companies entering the market, especially the world economic situation...all of which are not the same as history.  therefore, it is difficult to predict what will happen to the market, we should not be too subjective because history does not represent the future.

Piece like this will help calm people’s anxiety, the truth is always bitter they say but it’s better we reduce our level of anticipation and do what we can do maximize our profit. Thank you so much this is actually relieving.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many halvings have you witnessed? on: October 17, 2023, 12:25:01 PM
I can see many people focusing their certainty on Bitcoin pump after the halving, I wasn't here in 2012 halving and that's the only halving period I missed in the past, I noticed that Bitcoin gain momentum some months later after the halving, so if you are thinking that Bitcoin will spike after the halving you are going to be disappointed, all I can say is bear market can be very hard, I believe 2024 will be the hardest part of the bear season where many people will give up.

I am simply emphasizing on what has happened before, and I believe it will happen again, maybe people will get tired of holding, and many will take their losses and move out of the market, the momentum always returns when people don't expect, and that's where big investors will start coming back into crypto, I missed making the biggest gains in 2021 I believe I never made enough and I won't let this change slide again.

If you are smart you will keep DCA into Bitcoin gradually, as we are now in a crossroads where we don't know which way Bitcoin will go next, instead of trying hard to know it's better to be prepared for anything, keep buying Bitcoin as time goes by is the best investment strategy.

I think it’s high time we face reality, I won’t lie I’ve also been expectant too but at this point I just need to stop making countdown for the bull run so as not to get disappointed at the long run. Thank you so much for this, it’s really going to help me prepare my mind. Talk about the DCA, I really don’t know how to use it, does it run by itself automatically? just like the Bitget smart portfolio that helps to rebalances positions within a user-selected portfolio and also ensure a constant proportion of each coin is maintained.

Please let me know how to use it.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: October 17, 2023, 11:49:47 AM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help

Congratulations on your retirement, anyways I would advice you to be very careful with what you’re doing regarding crypto currency in particular. It’s good that you invest in crypto but you have to do a well grounded research before opting in for any crypto to invest in. Make sure you choose a good CEX for any investment you want to make.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? on: October 13, 2023, 08:04:31 PM
There are 1000's of Alternative Crypto-Currencies out there, but which one do you actually use?

Post your favorite Altcoin below and tell us why you think so.

My best altcoin is $BGB token

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: October 13, 2023, 07:48:00 PM
There are thousands of altcoins in crypto market and each of coin has investors! Cause people have different choice from one to another.  People even invest in shitcoin to get rich quickly. So what are the names of your most 5 invested altcoins that you are holding or would like to invest soon?? Those are my choice
1. ETH
2. BNB
3. Arbitrum
4. Cake
5. ApeCoin

As for me I’m going to list 3 with justifications to it.

1. $ETH
2. $BGB
3. $BNB

*The first token here is $ETH; over the years #ETH has become very famous within the crypto space while it grows its utility by serving a lot of purposes for different cryptocurrency projects. $ETH has become a coin that is widely use with upto 55% daily usage within the crypto space. For these reasons $ETH has a great feature.

*The second token here is $BGB of Bitget exchange; this token is the platform token for Bitget exchange, it serves a lot of purposes within the exchange ecosystem. Bitget as one of the leading cryptocurrency exchange, $BGB token has equally been growing alongside the exchange. In this current year 2023 $BGB token outshine every other platforms token and came out as the best performing platform token with 185%+ increase. The token is being used for a lot of purpose within the exchange ecosystem and also serves as a share within the company. For this reasons $BGB token has a great future.

*The third token is BNB of Binance exchange; this token has an huge number of holders with a good numbers of utility. The token has a lot of purpose it serves. The future of this token is good.

146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin and forget the investment on: October 12, 2023, 04:32:41 PM
Bitcoin investment, this is the opportunity for someone who wants to invest in bitcoin to invest in bitcoin without looking back, because anyone that invest in bitcoin now will make a profit during bullrun, the price of bitcoin is fluctuating and it does want to up since the price has being to twenty six thousand [26] is over one month or less than one month the price is being unrotational for price, I think that any one that plan to become a billionaire in bitcoin this is the opportunity to invest in bitcoin against next bullrun.

The way I'm looking at next bullrun am thinking that the bullrun will be something that will push bitcoin price  to approach hundreds thousands [100] for the price, but people will not invest now. I split my funds currently to different of coins expecting that if I don't make profit in any of the coins when bullrun comes I will surely make profit in bitcoin because bitcoin price now is no longer going downward or going upwards, but any move the price will make to go up the price will increase, I'm expecting the price of bitcoin to rise in 2025 and 2026 so any investment in bitcoin  should be expected till next two years or three years time. Summary, invest in bitcoin and forget about the investment and hope that you will make profit after some years coming.

Investing in Bitcoin has proven to be a lucrative investment right from onset, the early starters can attest to that. It is important to note that we can also have some other benefits accrue even while hodling our token as investment just like the Flexible savings programs.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA method on: October 12, 2023, 04:28:15 PM
You have no excuse not to acquire Bitcoin, this is one of my most used word when
discussing with my friends that have
high interest in crypto, but don't have capital too buy.

Since I introduced the DCA method to them, it was a game changer too them,
DCA is the best way for low income earners to acquire more Bitcoin.

I don't know if anyone else has different opinion about it?

DCA is a good method to make reasonable profit in the crypto space, the newly introduced Bitget smart portfolio feature is also helpful. The Bitget smart portfolio is an intelligent bot that dynamically rebalances your crypto holdings, ensuring your assets are always in sync. It  continually and dynamically rebalances positions within a user-selected portfolio of cryptocurrencies, ensuring a constant proportion of each coin is maintained.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yesterday marked 200 days to Bitcoin Halving on: October 12, 2023, 04:13:05 PM

Bitcoin is 200 days to halving yesterday being the 10th day of October, 2023.
Halving is an event that occurs every four years supposedly, it is a period that historical patterns shows that prices tend to rally, even clearing previous all-time highs once it happens.

In a price chart shared by the “thescalpingpro” on X on October 9, the analyst appears to suggest that the world’s most valuable coin is in the early stages of not only breaking above 2021 highs but registering new highs after the network halves in 2024.

EARLY SIGNS OF BULL RALLY: 200 DAYS BEFORE HALVING.

Thus far, the trader(thescalpingpro) notes that Bitcoin is down 60% from previous all-time highs in 2021. This formation, the analyst says, appears to replicate the same pattern before Bitcoin halved in 2019. Then, just like it is presently, the coin fell 60% from 2017 highs of around $20,000.

As historical pattern shows, Bitcoin prices tend to bounce back strongly after posting sharp losses from previous highs. These upswings are often accelerated by the halving event momentum, pushing prices further away from cyclical lows.

Every four years, Bitcoin halving occurs, where the reward for mining a Bitcoin block is reduced by half. This feature is built into the protocol to slow the issuance of new Bitcoin. Due to the decrease in the number of coins released to circulation during halving, inflation is reduced, which supports prices, as previous price action has shown.

Although the impact of halving has been well studied, the sequence of events preceding this event appears to be stirring demand. As aforementioned, 200 days before the 2016 and 2019 halvings, Bitcoin fell roughly 60% from all-time highs.

The asset’s prices are at a similar price point precisely 200 days before halving. For this “near-perfect” replication of events, “thescalpingpro” is bullish that the coin might follow a familiar pattern of past cycles.

Bitcoin Race To $48,000 Before Halving?

The spike to all-time highs and beyond, as previewed, is a scenario that could happen once the halving happens. Before then, however, another analyst is convinced the coin could rally to $48,000.

The analysis is based on crucial support and resistance levels formed by the Fibonacci retracement levels. The analyst is convinced that the coin will retest the 61.8% of the swing high low of the recent 2021 to 2022 range, placing Bitcoin at $48,000 once it recovers.

The race to this level will be further driven by “halving momentum” and the “bear-to-bull transition from various indicators,” including the Relative Strength Index (RSI), Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), and the on-balance volume of major exchanges, which appear oversold.

I came across this post and was actually amazed, it got my hopes high on bitcoin concerning the coming halving, but i cant on my own confirm is what the trader(Thescalpingpro) claimed is true, this is why i decided to share here, to get an idea of what you guys think.

I think this is just the best time to buy more and hodl, a lots benefits to accrue when the bull market comes, though we can still invest our assets while hodling any token we have, just like the Bitget Flexible savings.
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ? on: October 12, 2023, 03:59:21 PM
With my experience in the cryptocurrency market, I decided to develop a short-term Bitcoin spot trading strategy using the TradingView platform and its strategy programming tool. I managed to create a strategy that yields an average annual return of 20% according to backtesting. My question is, is this return acceptable, or in your opinion, what would be an acceptable or good return?

You can get an APR of more than 20% on Bitget Flexible savings
150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: October 12, 2023, 03:52:22 PM
Emotions is a weapon used against traders causing them to move out of a trade untimely which may eventually cost them loss.

How to avoid emotions:
  • set up  a TP(take profit) and SL(stop loss) for your trades
  • Stay away from the particular trade
  • Get in some activity that will keep you busy
  • Do your hubby activities at that moment
  • set up hours interval to check your trade
  • watch tvs and Go for walk Smiley

Note:Some of these might not be applicable if you are into scalping.

This is a good piece. You shouldn’t allow emotions to rule over you as a trader. I’m sure those who utilize copy trading be at a good side regarding this.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: October 12, 2023, 02:28:09 PM
Hodling and trading has always been a debate in the Bitcoin crypto space. Are they different? Of course yes.Hodling is a term used to describe owning Bitcoin in a wallet especially for a long period of time. While trading on the other hand refers to the selling and buying of Bitcoin through an exchange.
 Both Hodling and trading have some similarities such as ;

1. The use of wallets to store Bitcoin.
2. For both trading or hodling to be possible you must own Bitcoin. Although trading requires a minimum amount of coins, hodling does not.
3. Both require you to understand how to secure your coins to avoid hacks or loss of funds.

Nevertheless, despite these similarities hodling and trading are also distinct this is due to the fact that hodling is usually long termed ( hodling appreciates better during long term.) however trading returns come from short term fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin.Due to the uniqueness of Bitcoin,some  persons tend to choose hodling over trading due to some advantages such as;

1. Ease ; hodling Bitcoin saves you the stress of understanding marketing strategies and little price fluctuations As you only store the Bitcoin in your wallet without transacting.(successful trading requires constant research and experience)

2. Transaction Costs ; Hodling comes with a lower transaction cost which is from depositing the Bitcoin in your wallet. However trading incures cost due to frequent transactions especially when the network is congested.

3. Long-Term  Gains ;Over time Bitcoin  has shown promising potential in it's price.Hodling  helps you benefit from the long term potential of Which in most cases appreciates better than little price gains from trading.

4. Security; Hodling your Bitcoin gives you a better option of making use of offline wallets such as air gapped wallets or hardware wallets,As they deem more secure than online wallets

With all these being  said it is important to note that hodling shitcoin is not advisable due to their exponentially high volatility which may lead to severe loss if not properly managed.
Trading and hodling is always a choice as they indirectly serve as balance to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe 😁

Good piece. Anyways Hodling is okay as we all know, hodling can be liken to spot trading while the other trading you’re trying to talk about can be liken to futures trading.

You just have to be smart when it comes to trading because of the risk attached to it and as for the newbie I will suggest copy trading in order to copy trade from professionals so as to avoid running into loss, newbies can also opt in for the bot trading feature, it’s available on Bitget and other prominent exchanges.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 12:08:48 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.

I feel that there isn't too much excitement and this adrenaline feeling anymore; suddenly you'd see Bitcoin climb or crash; you'd be curious when it'd stop, what your next move would be, or simply feel accomplished seeing your money's value grow. Price movements are quite insignificant at this point compared to the huge pumps or dumps that occurred in 2020 or 2021.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against holding, nor am I getting frustrated, at least not yet; I did it in the past and regretted it, even though my only source of income is signature campaigns. It's just that sometimes you can't stop the thoughts from circling around your head. I generally didn't bother to even look at it's price, but I've recently started feeling a little wearied. Perhaps it has to do with the life-induced stress that I've discussed in a previous thread. Who knows? How do you cope with waiting?

As a trader you shouldn’t trade with your savings, also as an holder you need to invest a good amount you’re not ready to use at the moment, you should equally learn to utilize giveaway and airdrop opportunities by exchanges in order get your start capital. Exchanges like Bitget, CoinW and Binance have good giveaway events to help earn rewards just like the Bitget turntable event.
153  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: October 11, 2023, 03:11:44 PM
as we've been in a state of bear-trend for almost a year, i'm trying to find another usage of my eth and btc except hodling. do you know any real working crypto-marketplaces? probably it's not a bad option and i would find something really worthful to buy without any doubts of being scammed. kindly waiting for your feedback

It’s advisable that you keep holding your asset, the bull market will be here soon and you will get to enjoy all you’ve labour for. Though you decide to do flexible savings on exchange like Bitget and get annual profit even while you wait for the bull market.
154  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Crypto OTC and cash deals on: October 11, 2023, 03:06:01 PM
why would anyone care about these posts? do you think with zero history anywhere here or on p2p anyone is going to trust you or send you money first? No of course not, so genuinely what is the point in writing refresh and spamming the feed. Before you ask, yes I have 5000+trades on lbc and millions traded on lcs.

Just don't understand why you would ever think anyone would ever respond or give you money? You post should read that you are willing to send first to large traders to prove yourself, not the opposite.

People are actually funny though, a friend who works as a P2P Merchant on Bitget,  Binance  and OKX was sharing with me how people place order with him on OKX and end up telling him to release coin so that they can use it for Arbitrage and then pay him for than the actual price after they’ve sold it. It still ball down to the level of security on the exchange.

How will I release coin without being paid just because you promise to pay after you sell my own coin 😂 even someone who is not smart naturally will be smart in such situation.

156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangers of trading on: October 11, 2023, 02:46:23 PM
Trading can be a wonderful venture, but it comes with its share of dangers.

In whatsoever thing we want to do in life, we should expect it risk coming along, if you're into business, there will be peak periods that you experience good sales and profits, there will also be season of dryness when things will seem to have paused, this is how the economy we are is being affected on both sides and we can't do without taking the risk.

One of the primary risks is financial loss.
The volatile nature of financial markets means that everyone suffers loss.

If we loss on same market or business that have always been profitable to us, this shouldn't be a discouragement at all on us because we can still come back at it again doing well, market rises and falls, this is one of the beauty with cryptocurrency because they are volatile.

OP you’ve made a good write up here, actually I feel beginners should not rush when it comes to trading. Though I understand the fact that everyone wants to make profit so fast, but they need to understand the consequences. They shouldn’t be all about the money, when you seek knowledge first money will definitely come with it. But if beginners feel they want the money at all cost they can rather go for Copy trading though it still depends on the exchange they’re using, it’s only few exchange that have copy trading feature, exchanges like Bitget and Bybit has copy trading, but then beginners need to check the track records of the trader they’re selecting so as to make a productive trade.

As OP mentioned greed shouldn’t be a trait a good trader should carry, little profit is okay than running into loss. Both on your personal trade or even when you’re copying trade.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: October 11, 2023, 02:35:20 PM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.

Actually Platforms tokens can never go out of existence unless the exchange collapse, though at the same time you can choose to why your choice among other platforms exchanges to know the best performing one, as of this year 2023 $BGB of Bitget exchange happens to outshine all other platforms token, the platform token of OKX equally did great like wise $BNB. If actually you want to go by their performance and future value $BGB will be a good token to invest on.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of cryptocurrency?? on: October 11, 2023, 02:26:22 PM
Let me know!

In my own opinion there is actually a great future for cryptocurrency, though there is a need for general acceptance of cryptocurrency by everyone. Lately many exchanges like,
Bitget, Binance and some other notable exchanges has been giving in their best to ensure that a lot of people have good understanding of the crypto space; that alone will help to keep the fire within the crypto industry burning.
159  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling USDt for paypal on: October 11, 2023, 02:19:33 PM

160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading can ruin you on: October 09, 2023, 02:57:01 PM
Trading is most times profitable and sometimes challenging to traders, but it can ruin you just as gambling if you don't know how before venturing into it,  I have had a handful of terrible experience while trading and I discovered that it can return you to square one in terms of your finances if precautions is not taken.

Though am a better trader now, but I still thred with caution,  the best way for newbie to navigate their way in the market is to buy and hold, then sell when the price goes up.
When it comes to future market, newbie should stay off because it's for experience traders, even if you run a poll of people to tell of their experience in trading in this forum, %80 of people will rule out trading as a no go area based on their terrible experience while trading.

So newbie, stay of trading futures if you know nothing about technical analysis or fundamental analysis for not to be ruined.

This piece is very informative, newbies should try as much as possible to learn more about the crypto space before embarking on futures trading, Spot trading is better for newbies actually. Though in some occasions where you use exchanges that has copy trading you can utilize such opportunity to blend in with other traders, but copy trading is not available on all exchanges and that’s where the issue comes in, few exchange like Bitget and some new exchanges that are just coming up has it as well.
