143  Economy / Services / Re: New E-Wallet: Bitcoin Debit Cards on: August 12, 2011, 03:18:42 AM
A question:

Why the people would want a POS card which is not usable at the present?

because it acts as an e-wallet also, and that e-wallet functionality is amazing. I use it more then I used to use mybitcoin, it has ease of use, and is very similar to the real bitcoin app. And also to get in early on a service that may grow up to be something big. Who knows?  Smiley

Ah and... It hasn't HTTPS.

I'll wait for a more serious attempt of Bit-card.

Be careful with details, this logo is ugly.

But your idea is fantastic although i believe that the merchant card technology should be decentralized and open source, so any merchant could buy a cheap Bitcoin POS or build himself in accord with the protocol.

Two years later there are cheap Androids that do the same for less.

Examples?

PD: In DealExtreme there are many of these devices with ARM and Windows CE for less than US$100, can use Android and some Linux distros.

Wait until tomorrow or I will think that the scammer is you.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox acquires Bitomat.pl - consumer protection in the free market! on: August 12, 2011, 12:39:20 AM
I see that we are on the second page of comments on this thread and nobody had noticed one major feature of this acquisition:

bitomat.pl banking relationship is in the SEPA zone.

Yes: http://www.nordea.com/Our+services/International+products+and+services/Cash+Management/SEPA+countries/1026012.html

But Mtgox already had SEPA support. In any case, Bitomat.pl responsibles are not working in the project as I know. Mtgox has not got any new account.

Still no BTC in my wallet's history... Should I be concerned?

Everything okay on your end Raeldi?  Any bumps?

Seems Raeldi is from Holland and now there is too late, maybe she has gone already but fortunately you've made this trade through paypal and you know, chargeback, but she may appear in any time until tomorrow.
152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TradeHill: Where is my money??? on: August 12, 2011, 12:03:54 AM
I'm waiting yet. If tomorrow it's still "in process" I'll ask what is happen with my withdraw.

I think it could be caused for a SEPA avalanche (I hope I'm right).

The lesson is don't hurry to sell, even less to a user who has only a few posts and no reputation and don't buying from someone who is in a "hurry". Be careful and suspicious.
154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading $300 for your BTC. I am paying premium! on: August 11, 2011, 11:26:11 PM
My wallet doesn't show any BTC transactions, does it take longer to receive the BTC because it's higher than 1 BTC?

No. Takes up to an hour.

159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox acquires Bitomat.pl - consumer protection in the free market! on: August 11, 2011, 08:26:26 PM
I don't like Mtgox

First: I can't use it
Sec: It only uses the US Dollar as parameter.
Third: It's becoming the Bitcoin's Central Bank.
160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading $300 for your BTC. I am paying premium! on: August 11, 2011, 07:52:37 PM
Just name your price.  only reason I am willing to pay well for the BTC is because I need it NOW.  I am moving in a couple days and need the USD or BTC, and after reading about bitcoinExchange taking weeks to finalize orders I decided I'd barter the moneypak elsewhere.

I do understand that someone wants fast dollars, but why you would like BTCs as your life depends of it...
