I too have come across some recovery technicians however all were online and therefore just like you mentioned I really can't recommend them since they don't guarantee safety of his data. I am not an expert anyways I think technicians have some way they can recover data from a formatted hard drive that is if the specific hard drive meets some certain conditions. I believe we have some nice tech guys on this forum who hopefully would be able to render some help.

I think most hard drive recoveries have to be done physically by the technician. Probably if it turns out so a technician here could guide him through a possible option for the restore process. +1 for you op for trying to assist him. I hope he is able to recover the data he lost.

Op I think you are probably mistaking an exchange multisig wallet for a custodian wallet. I don't think it's nice for users to be restricted in locking threads on any board on the forum. If he really is lying forum members would have long noticed it and definitely they will end up just ignoring both the Op and the thread in general. However if it was very necessary for such a thread to remain open, definitely a moderator would open the thread back especially if he broke a rule or something.

In my opinion I have personally come across many posts on the reputation board accusing certain user. I have come to notice sometimes that people who raise such threads sometimes are not doing it to clean the forum of spam users but rather because the hate that user for some personal reasons. And in my opinion doing something like that is just outrightly childish.

So according to you OP your primary aim when you place a bet is to make sure that you double the amount you wish to use for staking. In my opinion this is very wrong. Now my first quick question is what happens if you are eventually unable to double the total amount you put it?  Does that mean that you will continue to place bets over and over again just like an addict? As a gambler when you expect too much from gambling activities, you tend to easily make wrong decisions.

At this point I guess I am kind of having a fear, don't know if I should call it FOMO. But my kind of fear is that fees would probably not be returning to normal anytime soon and this is quite alarming. Bitcoin has once again hit that point where some Bitcoiners have to switch to making use of altcoins to make simple day to day transactions since fees have become uneconomical.
Although it happens sometimes it's not nice at all. Events like this fee skyrocket has happened several times in the past however none has gotten to this extent. Just like late last year ordinals also posed a kind of fee increment on the network and yet it wasn't has bad as this.

Fees are still too uneconomical right now. I think I will be making used of altcoins for the mean time.
