141  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need to adjust my trust list on: December 15, 2023, 08:55:28 AM
It's best to assume that if If this account ever becomes active and does any suspicious activity such as asking for non-collateral loans then I recommend trying to prove that it's actually the OG owner
His account was been locked, so it's best to assume the account is inactive forever. Now if Vod think Legendster wasn't leaving inappropriate feedback, Vod doesn't have to remove him since inactive account that leaving appropriate feedback is good for the forum.

After a few days of checking every foreseeable aspect of this case (email, private keys, synced browser passwords, secret questions and what not, seem to have been compromised at some point), we've come to the conclusion that the hacking extent is way to big to determine the ownership correctly so it will be better if the account remains locked indefinitely.

That's good to note, thank you for pointing that out. It's a shame that he won't ever get his account back. I thought he just reclaimed ownership and went back to being inactive until this was posted.

I also came across several other inactive users on Vod's trust list, who weren't compromised or anything but were inactive for an extended period of time(like 2-5 years)so I had them noted in what I wrote to verify ownership if they ever came back actively and behaved suspiciously.
142  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need to adjust my trust list on: December 15, 2023, 08:22:07 AM
I'll get to investigating and see if there are any other untrustworthy or suspicious users.

And how exactly are you going to do that, considering that your account was created less than 2 months ago? Perhaps you already read all forum thus you know who is scammer and who isn't? And ypu also know very well when a red tag was given incorrectly, thus it is irellevant and when it was deserved?

I am all ears to hear about your vast expertise earned in such a short amount of time.

P.S.: try to take some syrup for that cough, it's not a good sign. I remember that TimeLord also coughs very often.

You present a good point. That's what I quickly realized when I started this. 78 different users is way too much, especially for a new user. I also realized it was quite late so I went to bed soon after I posted that. I had a much longer post originally, detailing how exactly I would at least try to investigate users and who would specifically be investigated but stopped because I think my mental health matters more (I can dm you what I had so far if you want I don't think it really matters though)

I've spent the past 10 hours worrying about all this and it's quite stressing simply due to time spent. I've learned alot about why Vod chose many of these users on his trust list though and came across some really good investigation tactics on how users found cheaters as well as hilarious people, etc.

So far this is the most suspicious account I've seen throughout the 78 users on his list.

The account "Legendster"

The original owner isn't a scammer, fraud or anything suspicious but the original owner has been inactive since late 2019(verified by himself here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5359778.msg57932688#msg57932688)

Vod quit somewhere in like, mid 2021. This event all took place during Late 2021, after he quit. During late 2021, the Legendster account was compromised, which he confirmed here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5359778)

Since he isn't hacked (anymore for now) he can stay on his list. Seeing that the original owner quit in late 2019 and hasn't made a real return ever since then, It's best to assume that if If this account ever becomes active and does any suspicious activity such as asking for non-collateral loans then I recommend trying to prove that it's actually the OG owner using one of the old addresses as shown by the post made by examplens (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5359778.msg57931591#msg57931591).

Honestly, my only question is how the fuck does he have so many telegram accounts? Makes me wonder if he has anymore hidden alts that we don't know of yet. I will support the flag as well

My brother taught me as a child, if you don't understand what your opponent is talking about, just nod.
Me now:

Wasn't trying to be disrespectful with that post, apologies.
145  Economy / Reputation / Re: The percentage probability that the account was sold on: December 14, 2023, 11:35:26 AM
Eh, November 26, 2015 to January 08, 2017 isn't too far fetched. Only a year.
People can learn different languages, and it was only a year and 1 month. I would just call it a coincidence, especially seeing that it has been over 5 years since this happened and as far as to my knowledge no suspicious things have happened during the time of the activity.

As for the last awakening being a 3 year difference, that can be of some suspicion and understandable, especially seeing that Russian post, but since you said the Russian post didn't prove anything (as well as that he also speaks English in 2023) we'll just do what you said and set that specific part aside.

He did stake his account in 2019, that is a good find and im removing the rest since its 4 am and i had to reread this post a couple of times
146  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need to adjust my trust list on: December 14, 2023, 08:43:17 AM
Based on your current trust list the obvious scammer is only SiNeReiNZzz as he was defaulting a loan.

You just need to pay attention with user who received negative feedback because account with negative feedback is a scammer, although there are some users leaving negative feedback because of personal conflict *cough.

Where exactly do you see a users trust list? From recent news Ratimov/Symmetrick seems to be very untrustworthy since people claimed the owner sold his account. If he is there then he should be removed for now.
He didn't include Ratimov.

I see, thank you. I'll get to investigating and see if there are any other untrustworthy or suspicious users.
147  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need to adjust my trust list on: December 14, 2023, 06:45:57 AM
Hi all,

I've been away from the forum for a couple years, and I understand several people I trusted turned out to be scammers.  I don't have any details, so if anyone notices anyone on my trust list that should not be there, please let me know.

148  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is it worth a newbie warning flag in this case? on: December 14, 2023, 06:38:07 AM
Are there any consequences to creating flags? I think we should create one

I’ve seen this thread before and I replied to it he is just full of bogus especially for a new account. If he was genuine he would let some of the more ranked up members of the community receive a free vouch copy of this guide
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: December 14, 2023, 03:43:04 AM
Holding crypto isn't for everyone either. Back when I was still new to all the crypto stuff I would be pretty smoked seeing my crypto go down like seriously?

I wanted to try trading crypto but couldn't do so without these insane ass fees.
150  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ⚠️ Freewallet: the scam project that threatens thousands of customers on: December 14, 2023, 01:49:48 AM

Now get this. Three and a half years later the FreeWallet team RESPONDS to the post in an attempt to make their support look good.

As we see, this strategy works. Newbies think that Freewallet is safe because their support is always active.

We need to stop these crooks as much as we can honestly. Such an evil app. If they didn't respond properly to Elon their whole app and reputation would've been toasted completely.

At first glance when reading your reply I thought she was actually dead and was surprised for a moment. If the information of the conversation is public may I see where this PM is at?

What happened to your main account?

I don't have another account here at this forum. This username was actually made since Rollbit Razer fucked me out of what's around $6,500 (was $4k initially but inflation) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5471380

I was told that I'm allowed to have the chance at possibly participating in their Rollbit Campaign to earn the lost money back if I'm at the proper ranking so I guess this is my new side goal or something.
152  Economy / Services / Re: This method of earning allows you to earn $1000 a day or more on: December 14, 2023, 01:34:17 AM
Sounds like bullshit. $1,000 a day posted by a non established user with only two posts raises red flags.

Also, I'm developing methods that can earn me some passive income or don't require much work, and they will be out to the public for FREE for anyone who requests them. As of now I'm testing them out myself. But when they are completed and if successful.. No one will have to pay a dime or a penny. All I'd want in return is for vouches from those who succeed.

247 weeks while working with the same people the whole time? That's legendary man. Congratulations to the both of you on somehow making it this far. Get this to 300 weeks soon!

Lauda was a pretty significant member of the community. Former staff I see. Yeah.. I don't think Lauda is going to be impossible to contact. Maybe difficult, but not impossible. It'll take alot of time though

Lauda is dead.  Theymos sent her a PM demanding she remove her negative trust on OGNasty, and she knew she would never get a fair chance around here.   RIP

155  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty cheater with multiple alts. on: December 14, 2023, 12:29:33 AM
Good catch on finding these bozos!

Also question, how do you see who has been banned?

You can see that on the bpip.org website.

Here is the profile of the user MKP90 mentioned by rat03gopoh:
https://bpip.org/Profile?id=3344962

Thank you. Was trying to find that website and I did remember it before but it said "The service is unavailable."

Edit: still says "The service is unavailable."
156  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 13, 2023, 10:10:11 PM
A challenge? Shouldn't be too hard. Time to go searching  Wink

When was merit first added to the forums?
A little bit of searching around the forum and from help of search engines or by reading the threads started by theymos you can find this out yourself, let that be your homework. Roll Eyes

What were the old ways of ranking up?
By being active you would attain a activity of 14 every 14 days. Now read the rank requirements and just remove the merit requirement from there and only activity remains. That was what determined rank at that time. To get that activity people used to post, but that posting became spam because it was easy to rank up many accounts owned by the same person.

Hmm. I see, thanks

I wasn't around when this came but you present an interesting question.

Makes me wonder;

When was merit first added to the forums?

What were the old ways of ranking up?

160  Other / Meta / Re: Lists of non merit sources that got to 5000 merits on: December 13, 2023, 02:49:11 PM
I heard merit sources are like hidden, not announced by staff and can be found through community investigation or by admittance, so what you are trying to find may be a little difficult or inaccurate.

I've seen a couple of high merit users but I'm unsure if they're part of the merit source club or not. I would post these users here in this thread, but for that reason my observations may not be accurate unfortunately. Or they could already be posted too which is another factor, since I'm really late to this thread.

Also, 5,000 merits is actually respectable and takes alot of determination, contribution and hard work. Very commendable to those users who actually made it that far. Has a non merit source reached over 10k that isn't a former staff or current staff for this forum?
