142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a front for hacking? on: February 20, 2015, 08:34:15 PM
Today's news said that the NSA and British intelligence were able to successfully hack into a Dutch company that makes cell phone SIM cards.

I'm thinking, what if Bitcoin hashing was actually a front to do a brute force attack into systems like this? A hidden code breaking hack?

A hidden code ? How ? Its not a code on every system just if you get bitcoins.

146  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have 4 bitcoin What should i do. Should sell or hold on to the price increase? on: February 20, 2015, 08:25:05 PM
You can atleast wait it out till the new ATH exchange comes out.

What is ATH. What does that mean. Please
Most people use that acronym to mean all time high which is 1160ish, so I'm assuming the poster was telling you to at least hold til that.
Ok. I got it now. Thanks man.

I think its the exchange. Apart from that we also have Ethereum coming out next month.

148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2015, 08:21:53 PM
Greek deal is reached (apparently - though we have had many false starts). Bitcoin is flat... interesting.

I wish that happens. Would be the best thing to happen to bitcoin.

158  Economy / Speculation / Re: New auction for 50000 btc from US marshalls! on: February 19, 2015, 03:03:36 PM
Well the second auction didn't really affect so much on the movement of the price so hopefully this time round, it will be the same as well.

Well you never know when the people buying the auction plan to dump it.
159  Local / India / Re: Anyone from India going to Satoshi RoundTable ? on: February 19, 2015, 02:44:34 PM

160  Local / India / Re: Gambling and Bitcoin on: February 19, 2015, 02:43:34 PM
I used to know a bookie based out of Chennai when I was based in India
He told me reconciliation of bets was always super painful when punters were based in other cities

Do your bit for the Bitcoin economy!
Educate your bookie about Bitcoin.  Smiley

The swings would kill the bookie. Probably have the people bet with bitcoins itself, but then they might flock to the sports betting sites online.
