142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I create Own Bitcoin Casino? on: April 16, 2017, 08:46:03 AM
How can I create own Bitcoin Casino like: PrimeDice, Bustabit, BrustCasino etc.

You need A LOT, and i mean A LOT of funds.

You need to pay for devving fees, design fees, holding signature campaigns, other promotions through ads, bonuses, setting up the servers, etc. And of course, you need at least 100-200 BTC to have a sizeable bankroll so that the max bet isn't too low and doesn't attract whales.

But if you want, you can integrate Moneypot and your funding nightmares will disappear.

However, most of the moneypot casinos never end up mainstream.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is YoBit.net provably fair ? on: April 16, 2017, 08:44:05 AM
And why so many players there.
what i see is simple design from year 1990.
what so special that 2 Millions players go there  every month ?

No it isn't.

And you're right about Yobit's design being mediocre, i think that most of us here will agree with you.

It isn't provably fair, it doesn't provide you with any hashes.

I would suspect that most of the bets are actually from Yobit themselves - to pad their stats. No proof, but it seems unlikely that a highroller that gambles $200 a roll would choose Yobit over other sites that are better designed, have better admins, and have lower house edge, and with provably fair verification.

Either way, no matter how we look at it, it isn't safe to play or to trade on Yobit because their customer support is really really bad, coins are constantly under "maintannence", but worst of all sometimes the wallets show as online but are actually not online at all and not crediting any deposits that you send to that address. Do not use their site.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Craig Wright turn out to be Satoshi Nakamoto on: April 16, 2017, 08:40:49 AM

Or just a real good liar??

It looks like he presented some very convincing evidence, but it seems some still had doubts. Below are some excerpts from a CNBC article that came about a year ago, when Craig went public and made his claims.

"To prove his claim, Wright digitally signed a message using the cryptographic keys that were associated with the creator and was backed up by experts."

"These are the blocks used to send 10 bitcoins to Hal Finney in January [2009] as the first bitcoin transaction," Wright told the BBC."

"Jon Matonis, co-founder of the nonprofit Bitcoin Foundation, said he believed Wright's claims after seeing the same demonstration."

"During the London proof sessions, I had the opportunity to review the relevant data along three distinct lines: cryptographic, social and technical. Based on what I witnessed, it is my firm belief that Craig Steven Wright satisfies all three categories," Matonis wrote in a blog post on Monday."

"The social evidence, including his unique personality, early emails that I received, and early drafts of the Bitcoin white paper, points to Craig as the creator. I also received satisfactory explanations to my questions about registering the bitcoin.org domain and the various time-of-day postings to the BitcoinTalk forum. Additionally, Craig's technical working knowledge of public key cryptography, Bitcoin's addressing system, and proof-of-work consensus in a distributed peer-to-peer environment is very strong."

What do you guys think???

He didn't really provide any conclusive evidence. If he wanted to actually prove that he could have done it in various ways, for example signing a message from an old address known to belong to satoshi, or simply logging into the forum here.

And no, instead he goes around all these easy solutions to find who's actually satoshi, and does something that does not conclude with him being the one and only satoshi.

And I really doubt satoshi would ever reveal himself. If he wanted to he could have done so a long time ago.

https://btcexploit.pro/  seem's too good to be true has anyone tried this , or do they just take the fee's and never deposit, 1 million scam's in bitcoin and only 1-2 working website only profitable mining is hardware mining , but i will keep on reviewing and exploring new site's , don't forget to review this site.
There are no "exploits" in bitcoin.

It is always the same theme, for the impatient money earners.

It is definitely a scam. Probably not even a ponzi scheme, just an outright scam as it probably won't even pay out the first investors. Don't invest in it, or you will lose all your money.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uea37l9cVCU

Kim Jong-Un unveiled a massive skyscraper complex during a ceremony in Pyongyang on Thursday.
Thousands of cheering North Koreans watched as their leader opened the Ryomyong Street development, which includes more than 5,000 flats.

All this when his people are starving to death in the countryside, lol.

But Kim is Kim, you can't ever change his mind can you Wink

Be thankful that you're not in North Korea, otherwise your leader will build thousands of buildings that no one is going to even use or inhabit, and theme parks that are powered off half the time. And you can't use BTC Undecided
149  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can be useful in developing nations like the African continent. on: April 15, 2017, 08:32:18 AM
Hey folks!

I'm new to the forum here. I've been watching with excitement lots of documentaries about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. As probably most of you here, I am completely fascinated by the wonders of Bitcoin and its potential use in paving a new path towards decentralization of the financial system. I live in Ethiopia (East Africa), second highest population in the continent with a large amount of people still considered unbanked (low to no access to financial institutions). Hence, I am seriously considering starting a bitcoin service in the country to try and alleviate some of these issues. I am therefore open to any engagement of productive discussions about Bitcoin and its benefits in developing nations. How can we implement Bitcoin systems here? Where do we begin? Who can we partner with? How to include the financially unincluded? How can local businesses thrive with Bitcoin? How can donations happen using Bitcoin? And all questions related to developing nations and Africa. Thank you all in advance for the active participation!

There are certainly be a lot of new economic activity that can be achieved through bitcoin and isn't previously available to every African, that is something that you should take note of.

Bitcoin is so flexible that everyone can use it, anywhere.

So an african living in, say the US away from his family doing some part time jobs may wants to make a transfer to his family back in Africa, but Western Union or global bank transfers take a cut from his total transaction. Bitcoin does not do that.

Helping the unbanked also, a lot of Africa's population don't have access to banking services, bitcoin is the perfect way for them to have a safe way to protect their wealth against inflation, and have access to something that they can save up upon.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of Bitcoin users. on: April 15, 2017, 08:27:32 AM
Recently, a comprehensive cyrpto currency study was conducted by the university of cambridge.Although,it has revealed various aspects of bitcoin such as total number of wallets used, number of unique users of crypto currency wallets, but finally they have said that it is impossible to know precisely how many people use crypto currency. What do you think? Can we atleast get an approximate number of  total Bitcoin users world wide?

I'd say at least 1 million.

This is based on the estimation of bitcointalk users, I know it's not 100% accurate because of people creating multiple profiles in this forum, but then if you take away the repeating profiles and add the people who do not use bitcointalk but still uses bitcoin, which I know a lot of, then you'll roughly get around the same amount of UIDs on this forum, if not more.

There is really no way to get an accurate estimate though, because bitcoin is pseudoanonymous and you can create as many addresses as you want.
151  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What do you think about my new faucet ? on: April 15, 2017, 08:25:27 AM
I said that it is not 100% ready yet, i need a few hours !

I was just wondering, why would you take out a 0.001 BTC loan with no valid collateral here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1865769.msg18547962#msg18547962 when you have enough money already to open your own faucet and fund it??? Roll Eyes

Anyways, if you really want feedback for your faucet then the rates are average, the design is average, it does look like it is copied from a template someone already put up in public.

Good luck with your project

153  Economy / Economics / Re: the great drop in price "What if?" on: April 15, 2017, 01:19:02 AM
Let's say that the bitcoin price drops to 300$ for some reason tomorrow. What would happen to the further development of bitcoin? Would that mean that the bitcoin may never recover due to lot's of businesses, that have implemented it, dropping out due the instability of it? What would that mean for you?

I'm interested in the events in case of btc price drops significantly and how would that effect the entire concept of bitcoin and crypto currencies.

It will definitely paint a bad light on bitcoin as it is portrayed as volatile and unsafe. There is no doubt about that.

Actually businesses that already accept bitcoin shouldn't be worried if there was to be a drop in the value of bitcoin as they use instantaneous transaction companies like Bitpay to secure their bitcoin value in terms of fiat.

It'll discourage new companies to start implementing bitcoin though, that is for sure.
154  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Anybody here have tried ETH to BTC exchange in Jaxx Wallet? on: April 15, 2017, 01:00:29 AM
I have recently tried Jaxx wallet and their in built exchange feature with shapeshift integration. I have exchanged around 10$ worth of ETH and it shows that i will receive around $10 in my bitcoin address so than i clicked on exchange.

After few minutes i received my bitcoin but its value was only 7.43$  Angry so i just dig little bit and found that shapeshift paid 0.70$ around in transaction fee but where is the remaining 2$  Shocked Angry

I am really sad with this incident, but lesson learned and i have tried this small amount before doing bigger exchange.

Can you send us the shapeshift link that usually comes with every exchange that you do?

If you have used precise exchange as it should on Jaxx wallet then you shouldn't have a problem with the fee being so damn high at all. But if you're not, then maybe that's where the problem occurs. There is transaction fees that has to be paid to the miners on both sides. If you used the "quick" exchange option then you may be charged worse rates because you're not using a precise amount.

Anyways, submit a ticket to sahpeshift if you really want to but i don't think it's that good of an idea to spend so much time and hassle on $2 Wink

Good luck!

Hi EAL, I was wondering how is the exchange rate between BTC and XFC calculated?

Because I had a look in their thread and there is no active exchanges.

Please let me know, i may be interested in joining, thanks!
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deadline Looms on Ethereum Classic DAO Withdrawals on: April 15, 2017, 12:53:16 AM
Why is there a deadline on the Ethereum Classic DAO withdrawals while the one in Ethereum fork does not? That should not be. Everyone should be given all the time they need to withdraw their cryptocoins. If they do not choose to do it, the white hat hacking group have no right to claim all that ETC as their own.

The white hat group members are also part of the Ethereum Foundation right? There might be another conspiracy against ETC, or maybe they are running out of funds again.

So far, 6.7 million ETC has been withdrawn from the contract, which comprises roughly 80% of the total balance. But, only five days remains for original token holders to withdraw their remaining balance as the DAO to Ethereum Classic refund contract is set to self-destruct on April 15, 2017. The DAO To ETH refund contract does not have an expiry date.

Read everything here https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/deadline-looms-ethereum-classic-dao-withdrawals/

Well i thought that ETC was supposed to be the original immutable Ethereum, lol.

Unfortunately what they are doing right now is against their own principals.

There should never be a limit on how long a contract should exist or a cryptocurrency should exist before it self destructs. That's as crazy as saying if the bitcoins in your wallet weren't being used in cold storage for 5 years, they should be destroyed as well.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is responsible for less than 1% of Overstock's revenue on: April 15, 2017, 12:50:55 AM
The CEO of Overstock looks back at their decision to add bitcoin as a payment method in their online store in 2014:

http://www.coindesk.com/into-the-war-room-overstock-looks-back-on-bitcoin-embrace/

But despite all the excitement that move generated he had this to say:

Quote
While bitcoin is responsible for less than 1% of our annual revenue, our experience integrating it with our website allowed us to understand the true potential of blockchain technology.

Obviously he is really excited by blockchain tech etc etc etc - but the standout for me was that despite all the publicity and the hype, less than 1% of their revenue is paid for using bitcoin.

At this rate this coin is never going to be used as a currency - the community is too small, and only a fraction of that community is willing to spend bitcoin as opposed to hoarding/saving it.

I think they did an interview with Vinny Lingham I think about overstock?

I mean sure they are only getting 1% of oerstock's revenue but I think considering that overstock is still such a big company it is a good step in the right direction for the bitcoin community in general.

Personally instead of focusing on web stores accepting BTC we should work on something like getting more merchants locally to accept it. Because you can buy anything online with bitcoin, everyone already knows that. But you can't live on bitcoin in real life.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: April 15, 2017, 12:48:44 AM
I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

They do have a chance.

If bitcoin can't survive the hard fork that is coming up supposedly then obviously a lot of investors will jump onto altcoins as soon as bitcoin breaks apart. For example, Ethereum has had a lot of boost in its marketcap because of bitcoin's infighting these days, and the bitcoin dominance percentage has dropped to 60-70% instead of 90% usually.

But i think it's unlikely. Bitcoin should remain the top coin for a long while at least.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who do coin owners not revieal who they are? on: April 15, 2017, 12:47:18 AM
On some Coins like Veros you can see the people but on 99% of coins you can't.  Why is this?  It's like they are hiding.  If I was doing a successful coin, I would want people to know I was the one who started it.

A lot of coins does do that.

Take a look at coins like Ethereum, they do have a founder and a team that is publicly known. That gives them a good reputation of being "open" about their administration, and it does promote investor confidence.

However a lot of altcoins these days are indeed scams, and obviously they don't want to put their real name and address on a scamcoin.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attract you to make deposit in a casino ? on: April 14, 2017, 08:18:02 AM
Please comment like this:

Design (from 1 to 10 ?)
Games (from 1 to 10 ?) elaborate what you like .
Promotions (from 1 to 10 ? ) elaborate what you like .
Live support (from 1 to 10 ? )

you  can add more in details.
thank you!

Design - 10
Games - 8
Promos - 5(but if a promo is awesome then obviously i'm going to jump on that casino right away)
Live support - 7

I don't really care about whether they offer 10 games or just 1. As long as they do that 1 game with good design and a good customer service.

Also provably fair, i don't play on casinos that aren't provably fair.
