141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Testnet finally less than 2 weeks, ETH Dominance 10%...Are YOU ready? on: July 27, 2020, 11:57:19 AM
I am glad to see the power that Ethereum shows. Two years ago everyone said that Ethereum is old without any future, that it will be replaced by Tron, EOS or NEO. Now look at these all Ethereum killers and who is really killed  Cheesy Cool.
If only people looked at the technology and potential of a coin instead of following the trend and acting like herd of sheep, many coins could have had taken the place of ethereum long ago. Coins such as ADA, NEO etc are way advanced in terms of technology and ease of use. They just lack mass adoption as not many people know about them and what they have to offer.

We will see if ethereum has something worth offering with that launch of new testnet and could rightfully claim the altcoin throne that it sits upon. Also, we fail to notice that even ADA is surprisingly up by 12 percent. I guess more coins will keep us surprising in coming weeks as this crypto space is slowly getting into bullish mode.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can ICOs come back in the game? on: July 27, 2020, 05:13:46 AM
In my opinion, if ICOs are to come back in the game, then there should be regulations and structures set aside in order for it to meet the standards set by IEOs.What other way do you think can lift up ICOs again?
It seems like Initial coin offerings are already back in the game. The new ICO launched by AVA labs called Avalanche (AVAX) raised around 42 Million dollars in just 4.5 hours during the public sale. That’s a huge amount considering the present scenario of the market and the time it took to raise that kind of funding. So, I would say, if the project has potential, it can grow in any market and get funding in any situation with right marketing and promotion. Also, ICO’s should be regulated by the government in order to eliminate scam projects and help make crypto environment a safer place.

In some deep thoughts, if high level forum members start some initiative to study the new projects and declare their opinion in a way to alert this community then we can easily support "right" ICOs by filtering the rest of ICOs out. But, for them it would be too much of works hence they must deserve compensation for that. Compensation should be paid by ICO devs and by this community as well.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Testnet finally less than 2 weeks, ETH Dominance 11.5%...Are YOU ready? on: July 26, 2020, 08:40:01 PM
10%+ Market Dominance....
$250  Broken....

Do I hear a starting gun? Or am I crazy?

Edit: ETH Dominance now 11.5%
This kind of seems like a fake pump to me. People usually tend to pour money into a coin that has a fork or has some other update on the way. But it has happened many times that people have always been disappointed from the latter outcome. The market tends to run on the hype rather than actually potential. And I think that is what is happening to Ethereum right now.

The testnet has not even been launched yet and the coin is already up by 10%. We don’t even know how it is going to go, is it even going to be successful or anything. We are all just assuming and predicting things on the hype created.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 26, 2020, 07:18:49 PM
Before now I have been doing a lot of jobs. When the pandemic started I didn’t lose my main job but we had to take a break. I didn’t bother myself because my side income has always been more than what I got from working at the office, so I was cool.

I have been into freelancing for a long time now and have been able to establish tight relationship with a lot of my clients who keeps coming back all the time. Apart from that I have also been doing bounties on bitcointalk.org forum. That’s why it’s very important to have other means of income, one might be affected and then you will rely on the others.

After pandemic and isolation restrictions my internet based freelancing for some intensiveness but I am not sure that I am earning for all the efforts I am putting on them as I am working these days even for low payers. I assumed I must work hard to cope up against slow economic conditions and any massive rally in BTC and crypto space, I guess will help me to fight against inflation in my country.
145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding Altcoins With Potential on: July 26, 2020, 06:40:53 PM
Many altcoins are being launched with great potential nowadays. I have come across a number of altcoins which could have a very promising future.

Some of them are:
COMP
NEXO
WPP
Ampleforth and then there are of course some old ones that haven’t yet had that push like ADA, ONT, IOTA etc. I did research aboutKadena a few days ago and it also seems like a promising project which is lacking limelight. It was up by around 9% today which is a significant growth considering the fact that other altcoins except Ethereum are going steady.
146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 26, 2020, 05:36:17 PM
Over the past few years, I have been horrified by the way accounts of various exchanges and crypto-related websites and individuals have been hacked by hackers. Is there any way to out of this insecurity? I think cryptocurrency will lose popularity if it continues like this, share your ideas on what can be done to overcome this situation.
No, that’s not much of a problem, there are still good exchanges you can make use of. This is one of the reasons why you should be making use of the top exchanges who are always ready to upgrade and update their system to have the latest security features that will protect their customers/investors. There are some exchanges that even go to the extent storing your coins offline to secure them, and some have insurance.

Lastly, stop having all your assets stored on exchanges. After choosing a good exchange, you still have to play your own role in ensuring that your money safe. Don’t just leave everything to them, it’s risky. At the same time, withdrawing daily and then depositing just before starting trading is not possible for anyone honestly, this is why people are holding accounts on multiple exchanges and holding small funds on each exchanges. This is one simple trick yet you cannot do anything when one or two exchanges get hacked or bankrupted.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding Altcoins With Potential on: July 26, 2020, 04:37:54 PM
Before you decide whether an altcoin has a potential or not you have to consider some things about it, there are things that will help know whether the altcoin has a potential or not. The first thing you should be looking at is the core functionality of that token or coin, what’s the main thing that it is focused on, what solution is it bringing to the table?

Is it bringing something new or something that has already been there?. The one you posted here, I don’t know if it’s advert as some have said or not, but the functionality of this one is really not something that’s unique, there are already so many that has the same functionality, and the question now is whether it will be able to compete with those???
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 26, 2020, 03:50:30 PM
Lol Grin, anytime I come across a post that reminds me of this I just laugh really hard Grin. This same guy is now saying he’s no longer going to be investing in Bitcoin and will be going for Ethereum. Some people usually think that once you’re an influencing people or celebrity you then have the power to look into the future and predict prices lol. These people can’t be right all the time, they are just saying what they think will happen, they can’t predict anything, so people need to stop relying on them and learn to do their own research.

Even I am believing into one million dollar for one bitcoin, I am not expecting that to happen this year or next year but anytime before 2025. We need at least 5 more countries to be having positive stand against bitcoin adoption for that. I guess many governments to be thinking about it after Japan's successful run with bitcoin legalization.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Question to Crypto users about its security on: July 25, 2020, 08:39:26 PM
Crypto is praised as currency of future, 100% secured way of transaction. my question is how?

-If you have money in bank or invested in stock or somewhere else regulated by government and you dies, bank/stock exchange will contact the nominee when the account goes inactive. but if a person who hold crypto dies, nobody will know about this so the money is lost forever. if the person decides to share the crypto details with someone then its not really a "secured" currency.

-If someone stole money from your bank/stock/credit card account, it can be tracked where the money went and can be recovered by filing complaint with your bank or authorities. but if somone steal your crypto there is no way to get the crypto back.
Hmmm Roll Eyes I don’t know who came up with the idea that cryptocurrency is 100% secure. No, cryptocurrency is not 100% secure, there are lots of risks involved in making use of cryptocurrency, and yes all the risks you have mentioned here are part of it. The thing with cryptocurrency is that it provides you with privacy, but it is not every cryptocurrency that really gives you privacy, in fact majority of them don’t give you complete privacy. Bitcoin doesn’t give you that complete privacy, because anyone that wants to trace you will still trace you.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 25, 2020, 06:23:27 PM
As we enter the digital realm due to the effects of COVID-19, the process of central banks phasing out physical cash from existence might take place soon. Before the outbreak, we've been accustomed in using credit/debit cards and contactless payments greatly eliminating the need for physical cash. Now that we're in a "COVID Era", things have accelerated quite a bit. Banks and governments are in talks of adopting CBDCs which could completely eliminate the need to pay for things with physical cash.

Now the real question is, how long will it take banks to start the transition from physical to digital cash (CBDC)? Do you think that physical cash will still be used right after governments adopt CBDCs in their entirety? Or will it take decades before every single person in the world stops transacting with physical cash, paving the way for a full-fledged cashless society? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
The global pandemic might speed up the process of digitization by a bit, but its still a long way for banks to disappear the physical cash currency completely. Many national banks across the world are onto the idea of launching their own “central bank digital currency” also know as CBDC. It will still take the government at least 5-7 years to eliminate the use of physical cash to a great extent.

Complete digitization of the payment system may take 10-15 years. Dominos in some countries has stopped accepting cash as a payment method due to the ongoing pandemic scenario to avoid any type of contact even through paper money. So, that’s definitely a step towards digitization.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 25, 2020, 05:33:10 PM
Sitting idle at home and doing nothing the whole day has gotten more people involved in the digital world, blockchains, internet of things and cryptocurrencies. People are reading more about it and getting to know how it is on the verge of changing the world with a whole new perspective.

This global pandemic is indeed providing a lot of opportunities to the people at least in the crypto world. Many new bounties, signature campaigns and other tasks have picked up pace. Many people are looking to invest in new projects and also the old ones. The blockchain space is indeed expanding and is emerging out to be a much stronger market even in the covid-19 situation than anyone ever imagined.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 25, 2020, 04:43:53 PM
Can someone make it trading only altcoins?

yes actually its possible but you need to learn how to read technical  analysis  before doing a trade I know a persons doing that and earn around  10-50% in daily trades h. But that's not always accurate that's why its important to have stop lost if you don't want to lose large amount in trading.

If you really interested learning it watch many tutorials or attend   seminar to have ideas and learn how to do it.
Technical analysis, research, predication and quick decisions are important if someone is going for quite trades. People lend money on 10-15% interest for a month or even year, but in crypto currencies you could make that 15% in a day or even within minutes for a matter of fact. You should know the market inside out for that and keep an eye on the coins. And yes, stop loss is always there to save you from drowning all your investment. so be sure to make the right use of that feature before you go all in.

Moreover, by considering the volatility of crypto markets, I believe it is not at all good and safer for anyone to be completely believing in making a living out of cryptocurrency trading. It means, we should be having crypto trading as one of our part-time income stream and we must have multiple income streams so that we could manage regardless of, not consistently making profits from cryptocurrency trading.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In what way can the crypto world help fight against Covid 19? on: July 24, 2020, 08:36:32 PM
This is a great campaign initiation on their part and they're encouraging people to wear mask. That's a good reminder because, despite lockdown, there are people who are still insisting not to wear a mask. A reminder that can greatly be seen by Twitter users and that's how they can contribute to fight against covid19.
Did you join the campaign?
Spreading awareness is a great thing I agree. But government has already done that. People don’t need some bounty campaign to understand that not wearing a mask could cost them their life. Instead of seeking attention and publicity, they could’ve simply donated the amount for helping the needy instead of distributing it amongst the event participants just like Binance donated $1,000,000 in $BUSD to fight against the covid-19 pandemic.

The people who still aren’t wearing mask are risking their own life and others even after knowing the consequences so instead of organizing awareness events, initiatives must be taken to penalize them heavily instead.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin on: July 24, 2020, 05:59:53 PM
The government cannot control bitcoin because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin.Other than that, bitcoin has a very high level of security, because it's hard to track by anyone.
Sure, bitcoin offers high security, but still if I were you, I wouldn’t rely on bitcoin if I wanted to do some miscellaneous transactions or something. There are many coins out there like monero, PIVX and zcash which offer higher level of security and privacy to its users than bitcoin.

Bitcoin still offers a high security the reason being:
1. Run-of-the-mill encryption.
2. Transactions are public but the sender and the receiver stay anonymous.
3. Bitcoin is decentralized and runs on the node system. So, there is nothing to worry unless a person holds 51% of the total nodes across the world which is impossible.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: July 24, 2020, 04:53:37 PM
The 2 factor authentication can also be a means for securing your wallet, we shouldn’t overlook that. We should try to apply every possible security measures to secure our cryptocurrency wallets. If your wallet is allowing for two factor authentication, you should go ahead and activate it, but do not use email and SMS, those ones would be useless if the hacker knows your phone and is able to Port your number to another device or they have your email and can hack into it. So, if you’re going to be using two factor authentication it’s best to go with Google authenticator or hardware dongle.

Even we are having lots of awareness initiatives against hacking and scamming, lots of people are still sharing about their bad experience due to lack of knowledge. I'm not sure how it will be going to be possible to enlighten each and every people who are into cryptocurrency at least (when not possible to cover all people who are into internet) regarding this.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big decision by the OCC - Banks can now hodl Bitcoins. on: July 23, 2020, 08:57:41 PM
It’s not a must that you’re going to use banks to hold your bitcoin, it’s all about your choice, so don’t complain about the fees yet when you have no idea of what it’s going to be. When it’s time and banks are ready to start offering that service, they will make proper announcement to the public and their customers, and if your bank is offering the service you will get to know what the fees are and decide for yourself whether to let the bank hold cryptocurrency for you.

If the fees are too much for you, you can continue making use of the method you’re using now to store. Banks are going to charge fees for sure, they are not going to be offering this kind of service or free, they are taking risk holding it for you and there will be more better features added.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 23, 2020, 06:13:55 PM
I can understand all the mathematical calculations on when Juventus could be crowned champions because that is an emotional moment that teams can finally say they are champions for sure. However did anyone ever doubted Juventus since the return of football? I mean we are talking about Juventus here and even though they had injuries and troubles they are still Juventus.

They are literally 6 points ahead of the closest competition and there is just 3 games left with one game of Juventus at pocket so they will definitely not allow anything to happen for the rest of the season for sure. They are already champions, and they were champions the moment the league returned and they started winning like it was a piece of cake without being troubled by the pandemic break at all.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 23, 2020, 04:37:17 PM
How is it 16 days? I do not get it. Teams needs to play 8 games per team first, after that there will be playoffs which is 7 game series right? How could it be 16 days? Is that just the regular season? If that is so, that means 1 game per 2 days and just game-rest-game-rest-game-rest for 8 games and 16 days and that is dangerous for many players.

Big teams will probably rest most of their stars because they are already in the playoffs and they know that but they could get some big injury upset if they play 16 games straight with just one day breaks, remember when last year Lebron pushed himself to play more minutes and more games and he got injured, those type of stuff could definitely happen if you push players to their limits. Hopefully teams will have a healthy regular season and go to playoffs as a whole roster.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 21, 2020, 10:58:23 PM
I rarely gamble nowadays but everytime I play I use bitcoin (though most of us prefer other coins with low fees in transaction).

Then eth is my alternative however this past few days eth fees are increasing too.

But now I will use xrp.
You might want to try TRX because I heard that TRX have almost 0 fees transactions and while I am yet to understand how it works and how it is possible but it is great for anyone looking to save transaction fees or who gambles small.

I myself don't gamble too much either but actually I bet with bitcoins and never had fees issues because sportsbet.io pay fees from their side when I withdraw and there is no fees on depositing so I never worried about transaction fees. But if your casinos charges fees then maybe try TRX like I suggested.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherscan or Ethplorer on: July 21, 2020, 10:38:04 PM
I have been using both of these explorers for different purposes. In the initial days, etherscan was not supporting ERC tokens as far as I could remember. So, at this times I needed ethplorer for tracking my all ERC tokens. And then I started making use of these two explorers interchangeably for some requirements. Whenever I do get transaction links from exchanges, they are providing etherscan tx links alone. But, I am not too comfort with them.

But, ethplorer is seeming like too organized to show up both ETH and token balance in my eyes (not sure how other people are viewing it). When you are comfortable to something for some reasons then you may not change that for sure suddenly. I still look for more convenient and eth fork traceable explorer for all my ethereum related needs Cheesy.
