141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum now looks like a complete joke on: January 13, 2021, 11:42:06 AM
It doesn't look like altcoins will pump hard this time around, it's still shocking that many ERC20 tokens under Ethereum are not really appreciating in value even when Ethereum reached 1200$, I have nothing to say than to ask what the heck is going on.
I feel your frustrations but  in my own opinion the price is determined with the relation of supply and demand. If not manipulated, the price will surely go up if there is demand and the circulating supply remains constant. Maybe some of your erc20 token that you  hold are shitcoins thats why there are no demand at all.
Manipulation will be difficult to do in a large market circulation, unless you have the authority on an asset. hate it or not that the price of altcoins is indeed influenced by the development of bitcoin and ethereum prices, it may take a while for the altcoins to look for a momentum where bullish can occur
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 13, 2021, 11:37:59 AM
If you get used to it you won't be panicking but instead you will it as a an opportunity to make more investment, well this kind of drop is one of the things I've been waiting to. I do believe that drops is a way to enter market and make profit in the future.
Drops need to happen, because we know that prices cannot always be bullish. although this happened quite suddenly, I guess most people should have the mentality like yours. at least don't panic too much, analyze what we have to do and what best steps we can do in a market situation like this
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If this isn't strange I don't know what will on: January 12, 2021, 08:54:19 PM
One more mess up from CMC, I was a part of Amepay signature campaign and trading in BKEX is yet to start, it's yet to accept depost of AME tokens, but it's trading in bithumb wherein the value of AME token has reduced to under $0.01 against its listing price of $0.02. I would suggest you reach out to admins of Amepay group.
I think they've contacted CMC, not really sure why the update is taking so long. it is possible that the information has been received by CMC support but is still in the queue. let's see next few days
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: January 12, 2021, 12:00:50 PM
snip..
Bitcoin is not much different from investment products that are already circulating in the world, the cause of the price rising or falling is of course due to market demand.  Bitcoin price may not go up and down because of the role of 1 person, the conclusion that drives the price of Bitcoin is all of us (buyers, HODLers, and sellers of Bitcoin)..
Btw, no one can control the market. You're right, that the key is demand. when demand increases, there is an increase in a positive trend, which means that the desire to buy bitcoin increases. this is what makes prices go up, in theory. In some cases, bitcoin price can be affected because a large number of BTC holders move their wallets, but I'm not really sure about that
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: January 12, 2021, 11:53:42 AM
I think only a fool will expect the price to continue to go up forever, this correction is healthy for the market. Though chain analysis show that it is not whales dumping their BTC but miners. Miners need money for their daily operation and taking some money to keep in their reserves is good for business.
Yep, true. The market cycle is something that is sure to happen in every market. Plus, I think this is just another pullback, if there is some content or press about institutions that use bitcoin the price will go up again. indicators of bitcoin's health or health are still pretty vague
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What triggers altcoin season??? on: January 12, 2021, 11:48:03 AM
Everyone keeps singing about altcoin season but I have few questions about this altcoin season

1. Are whales the backbone of altcoin season?

I meant are whales responsible for altcoin seasons? Some said when bitcoin is done with uptrend in bullruns whales will sell their btc and opt into altcoins to pump them, is this true?

2. Or is Bitcoin going to spreads it's profits down to altcoins at a certain point? Pls don't laugh I'm just trying to know what can trigger altcoin season

Some are even saying things could be different this time around

I believe that the focus of this current bullish market trend is Bitcoin and only a few altcoins were gained organic growth, I believe that because investors are not the same as it was in 2017-2018 respectively since most of the involve investors now is from the financial institution thats why they have already known when and where to invest these time. preferably not on altcoins because we can see the data in CMC and CoinGecko.
To be honest, there is almost no organic growth without a bullish bitcoin. indeed for most projects that have a subsidiary like Binance it might be easy to get organic growth, but it's still quite difficult for other altcoins. altcoins season is definitely influenced by bitcoin, but not large percentage.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum now looks like a complete joke on: January 12, 2021, 11:39:49 AM
Gas fee aren't fixed, there will be time when the gas fee will go lower, today the fee is back to 4$ - 6$ range, it's better to move your tokens to exchange that you trust just in case, after the sudden correction there will be more bullish moments and gas fee will even be more higher
Have all of the ethereum 2.0 updates been released? they said they'd finish these insane network fees. I'm okay with the continuing high price tag, the fact that it's even better for the other altcoins. the problem is unreasonable network fees, and they have to get it done asap because it's taking too long and could make other people suffer
148  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 11, 2021, 10:39:10 AM
As per my estimation now the Bitcoin price is starting to fall, and it looks like it will continue to drop to a price of $ 30,000. Those who managed
to sell Bitcoin at a price of $ 40,000 are very lucky, because now it is only a matter of waiting for Bitcoin to drop to a price of $ 30,000  and be able
to buy Bitcoin again.

From the start, I did predict that Bitcoin's rapid rise was unlikely to last long, because history will repeat itself. Like 2017 where not long after Bitcoin
rose, the price of Bitcoin fell too. So now it's happening again in 2021, after the Bitcoin price rose it reached an all-time high of $ 41,900. Finally,
slowly the price of Bitcoin began to fall.

At the moment it is still a bit unclear whether the price of bitcoin will continue to fall periodically or make a recovery. Today is quite surprising in my opinion because the price fell very insane. Maybe if ATH really happened to be priced at $41k? let's just see. but congrats for selling it for $40k, you guys are really lucky
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2021, 10:34:59 AM
In order to overcome my greediness, I set the target as well as the profit at a certain level, ofcourse at a rational price level. as long as it hasn't hit that price level, I will still hold it and it's not a big problem for me
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnerships must not be taken slightly on: January 11, 2021, 10:30:40 AM
in business, you will not be able to develop your business if you do not join or have a partnership. So it would be very strange if a project that "looks" good had no partnership at all. Partnership is something that must be done in building a business
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: January 11, 2021, 10:26:44 AM
Indeed, there are several candidates with similar technology and even quite potential like polkadot, but this is not about replacing or being replaced, but how to move away from mainstream protocols, and I'm sure it's quite difficult because ethereum currently has the most active developer community and almost irreplaceable
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: When and How much low on next Bear Market? on: January 10, 2021, 09:59:01 AM
if Bitcoin stabilize at $50k and bear trend follows it's likely that Bitcoin will drop to $8000 based on available data you provided and if history follow the trend of 80% to 85% drop, but I don't think we'll have bear trend this year, we are still going to enjoy a bull run before the end of this year because many investors are still coming in.
Yep, but what I know is that there will always be a bear market in a market cycle. Since many companies are now investing in bitcoin and there are also many people who want to get their salary in bitcoin, I don't think the market will drop below $10k. maybe around $10k-15k price level would make more sense
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: January 10, 2021, 09:55:13 AM
I'm not sure about that dude, come one altcoin rally already happened since bitcoin has pumped so hard last months.

No, it did not. If you're just looking at dollar prices, maybe you mean it. But switch the altcoin prices at Coinmarketcap to Bitcon prices, then almost all altcoins are strongly in the red, which means that they have lost a lot of value compared to Bitcoin. The dollar price of altcoins has only risen because the bitcoin dollar price has risen faster than the altcoins lost in relation to the bitcoin price. So we haven't seen an altcoin rally yet.
Currently ethereum price is around $1,345 and has increased 65% in the last 7 days. When viewed from the data shown by CMC, most altcoins have also increased above 20% in the last 7 days. I think this data can be used as a reference that maybe the altcoin season starts this week? although I'm not really sure about this data, because in my opinion to determine the altcoin rally indicator is still quite vague
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things will be different this time around on: January 10, 2021, 09:38:16 AM
Things does look different this time around, last time when Ethereum was at 1400$ every single altcoins I know of are already bringing 200% to 2000% profits to all investors, this time around only very few altcoins have grown big after Ethereum reached 1300$, yes things are different this time around
This is because investors' perspectives are different when compared to 2017 or 2018. In this trend investors are more careful in investing, besides that the structure that is now more established makes investors not easy to waste their money inconsequently, just like in 2017. maybe altcoin season will still happen, but not necessarily for all altcoins, only altcoins that are really useful and also have value will follow this positive trend
155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading have an advantage over investing?? on: January 10, 2021, 09:26:17 AM
Trading is more about calculation skills as well as momentum. whereas investment is more about how you can see an asset as an opportunity. In investing, analytical skills and vision are super needed. both are profitable depending on how suitable you are in trading or investing. and in my personal opinion trading requires more complex skills than investing

157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: December 15, 2020, 05:05:07 PM
The Big Question is: Do I trust USDT more then DAI and USDC? I´m not sure so better I hodl 33% of each one
Because all of them are stablecoins, so it is better to diversify. but it would be different if we only had a few, lol. In my opinion, USDT is still the best stablecoins at the moment, despite the many issues that are not clear
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: History will be repeating itself, invest wisely. on: December 15, 2020, 05:02:29 PM
Always have a benefit of the doubt, only the top 5 coins in the market deserves our trust other coins are still struggling, they can still fail and leave the project, if you invested on these kind of coins always get an update and news about their progress and if there's a hint that they are changing direction then by all means leave the project, do not have attachment to these kind of projects.

Those were the famous last words of coins like Bitconnect and Onecoin, though! They were for a very long time in Top 3 by marketcap, so I would say let's not jump to conclusions just because of capitalization random rankings.

Just look at Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the seriousness their users and developers have, actual economies, not vaporware.
I guess it's been an old model, right? Most investors also won't buy words like that anymore, because they are proven to be shitcoin. Investing in technology always works, so when a project has good technology, the percentage of it being a bad project will also decrease. real use cases, an active developer community and development is a pattern that we can observe on good projects
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: December 14, 2020, 08:45:42 AM
"First generation" of ICO way back 2017 or 2018 are the best for me because I was able to earn a large profit from their crowdsale as well as joining their bounty campaign. It gave me alot of btc that if I would save in until now I would be hodling 1 or 2 whole bitcoins. But sadly, when emergency happens and I don't have enough money I spend it. Now only few amounts left hoping that it would give me a good future in few years.
Indeed, 2017 and early 2018 were the years for altcoins and also ICOs where we could get fairly easy profits. but all of that was undermined because of the many scammers who created the trash project. and I think that such years will never be repeated, considering that everything is in mature market now and investors also don't want to spend their money for nonsense
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: December 14, 2020, 08:35:57 AM
Let's not undermine the flaws  the Ethereum ecosystem harbours, alot needs to be done by the developers on the Ethereum smart chain, we all had expected the launch of ETH 2.0 to make corrections but it is still at the early stage perhaps things could be corrected from Q1-4 of 2021. Ethereum truly remains the king of altcoins, LTC should be dragging the position with Ethereum any moment.
Yes, I'm sure that right now the ethereum developers are working hard on big cases. Could Litcoin be able to keep up with ethereum? I can't really see it to be honest, maybe NEO or Polkadot have the potential instead. but no doubt for the fast litecoin transaction speed
