I think it's important to note that the current official bitcoin client doesn't allow the user to choose which addresses your transactions come from. That's why that data isn't available when you look at the transaction details in your client. Often no one address in your wallet will have a large enough balance to cover a transaction, so the BTC will be debited from multiple. If you send the BTC to whatever shows up on blockexplorer, if the sender is using their own client, then they will receive the BTC. I just invested 0.1337 BTC into this lottery and you can send the bounty to whatever shows up in blockexplorer. Thanks for playing - I have sent you 0.2 BTC I will only send payments back to the address Blockexplorer gives. It would be helpful if people could post when they have entered so that (for the first few draws at least) the winner can be identified.

Only had to go to page 4 for the best quote in the doc: Almost no one would argue that governments do not have a right to track and trace digital financial transactions associated with activities such as terrorism and human trafficking. I would. I would argue that governments do not have a right to track and trace a damn thing, regardless what I'm suspected of. I've seen this argument in various forms so many times it's laughable and I'm honestly surprised that, for once, they didn't throw "child pornography" into that sentence. It IS the classic scapegoat of governmental agencies who want more power/control after all. +1 so tired of seeing the same old scaremongering in order to push laws / legislation through

You might want to check local laws about running a gambling site. I'm not sure about where you're from, but here in Canada you can go to jail for running a gambling operation that isn't liscenced.
I'm from the UK, it is completely legal here

It is interesting! How do you cover your costs?
Domain price ~$5 a year, combined with free web hosting = ~$5 a year costs...

Sent.
You can send the 0.2 back to the address I sent from (14yTB7UpBAxDVEnQP2YL5f9TuQtWBpKMCy). Sent (from 1FTgxMpcLfs58SFRxnMp1U3kZpo3QpfSri) Would seem to me your best bet is to send to the first 10 addresses you receive from - as otherwise you have no way of knowing whether people who claim to have sent actually did.
Yeah that was silly of me, I will be doing it that way in future! 14LRcEV2WTW5E7b1sZJyA9iKZm2LkdMKFt Thank you. Sent (from 1FTgxMpcLfs58SFRxnMp1U3kZpo3QpfSri)

Hi BitLucky,
The following statement from your website is confusing: "To enter the lottery you must send any amount of Bitcoins you wish to the specified address using the official Bitcoin client (not an eWallet). The more Bitcoins you send, the higher your chance of winning. If you win the lottery the prizepool will be sent back to you using the Bitcoin address that you paid with. No money is taken from the prizepool (100% payout)."
Is the minimum bet .5 BTC?
Your statement implies someone can bet say .51 BTC an improve his chances of winning. If this is true how does this work?
Or, do you mean any amount of Bitcoins as long as it is a multiple of the minimum bet (.5 BTC) and each multiple would count as one ticket allowing players to buy multiple tickets with one transaction?
n.olmos
Hi, sorry for the delay in replying to your question (having problems with my email). There is no minimum bet amount (well, I suppose 0.0005 BTC realistically). The total prize pool (in Satoshi's) is used as the number of "tickets". A winning ticket is then selected at random. Therefore the more BTC you put in, the more likely you are to scoop the jackpot. The official thread is located here. I will try to explain in a bit better on the website. Thanks
