I realize this is pretty much beta, so Im gonna post every minor issue I encounter.

First of all, it seems you require 3 confirmations ? It might be a good idea to show unconfirmed transactions, just not allow selling/transferring them. I would also suggest you make the number of requires confirmations dependent on the amount. Id accept zero or 1 confirmations for tiny amounts, and require more for larger transactions.

Secondly, very minor issue, but when the account page loads, it shows zero balance. After a second or two it updates to the correct amount, but I can imagine some people getting a shock if they expected to see a significant amount and get shown zero.

Next, I tried withdrawing my BTC to my card, I put the entire balance as amount (all of 0.1 BTC, taking a huge leap of faith here Smiley ), but it failed because I didnt have enough funds. Thats because you deduct the fees after the transaction/conversion. That makes it almost impossible to withdraw the entire balance. Just deduct the fees before the conversion, so I end up with less $ on the card, but with the entire amount of BTC I intended to withdraw.

So I tried again with a smaller amount (0.095 btc), and then I got an error when I clicked to confirm: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". Clicking "confirm" a second time made it accept.

I instantly got an email stating the loading was completed. Is it really that fast? If I where doing this in front of an ATM, would I be able to withdraw the money literally seconds after withdrawing my btc on your site?

Anyway, now off to search something to spend my $20 on to see if the card actually works Smiley

just to let you know that we've implemented all your suggestions

1) we currently show unconfirmed transactions (they have pending status)
2) we require different number of confirmations for different amounts (6 is max - for bigger amounts)
3) fixed 0 balance during page loading
4) if users try to withdraw more than they have on their accounts, we adjust amount and show notifications that amount was adjusted

thanks again for your feedback

143  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: E-Сoin Beta Launch - New Bitcoin Debit Card on: January 18, 2015, 06:56:57 PM

Suggestion: Provide a Windows Phone app for this, too.

Yes, I know iOS and Android are the most popular options. Yet, it would even be a notorious gesture to provide support for MS's native mobile platform, now that we know MS "means" something for BTC. i.e., it's unwise for you as a new company not to test the water in the Computing Giant's mobile platform.

It should not be that difficult for you to have the talent (I mean staff) to develop the application. As you commented in the other long thread where the business' legitimacy was discussed, your team knows how to do business. I believe allowing the 3 most popular platforms to have an app for it would be appropriate (I know, Blackberry might dispute that and so there might be 4 of them).

And, yes, I would love to try the app in my own Windows Phone.

S.

we are planning to release Windows Phone app as well as iOS and Android

Where can the card be used and how do you use it. Like can I good to the store and swipe it or can it only be used with bitcoin transactions only?

It's Visa card , so you can use it almost everywhere : atm, online shopping, in-store purchase etc.
Works like traditional debit card
145  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 17, 2015, 09:13:11 AM
1. Can I apply the visa card with some dummy name?
2. If I am not verified, any limitation for withdrawal each month or year?
3. reliable?
4. If I do not want to submit my ID, what kind of limitation?
5. The card already working or under testing?

1) you can, but you won't be able to upgrade to verified status
2) withdrawal limits for unverified $2500 lifetime,$2500 per day
3) yes
4) see 2
5) working

Another question: is the charging of the card limited to office/banking hours, or can it be done 24/7 ?
it's 24/7

BTW, kudo's to the fastest support ever.

we are glad you like it, we are always here to help

I got no text, but I probably didnt provide my actual phone number. I dont see the need anyway, dont we all have email on our phones?
So you may want to make the phone number updatable in the account page, and allow users to turn on/off notifications.

Gotta say, assuming the card works, Im pretty impressed by this service.
Im not gonna vouch for the long term viability (I fear Mychoice may not like what you're doing) or even for the question you will or wont one day run off, but if you can improve your trustworthiness, you have a very good product here.

good idea about turing on/off phone notification, will definitely add it. we don't sent email confirmations for card transaction, but we sent text messages, so you might want to be notifed about any transaction on your card.
regarding our bank, they know that we work with bitcoins and we are very transparent with them, so it wont be an issue. Trustworthiness is that we are currently working on, thanks again for using our product and for usefull feedback.

note: if you'd like to withdraw more than $2500 per day you have to upload id and proof of address  Wink

that's really usefull feedback, we will fix all the issues you mentioned.
regarding card loading time - yes it's instant. also you are supposed to receive text confirmation (assuming you provided working phone number)
151  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 16, 2015, 12:11:07 PM
Activation on your site was a doddle (assuming it actually worked).
trying to send some btc to my account now, first 0.001 BTC seems to have arrived.
Havent called mychoice yet for a pin, is the card usable for online transactions if I dont?

once card is activated on our website it's ready for use, you need pin for ATM withdrawals/in-store purchases.
We don't provide pin set/reset functionality due to security reason, so you are the only person who can set your pin.
152  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 16, 2015, 11:23:42 AM
Spotted this on the faq: "We also require 5 block chain confirmations to deposit bitcoins to your account, on average it might take up to 10 minutes."
10 minutes for 5 confirmations seems a bit optimistic Smiley

yeah, will update it  Wink
how's your card, did card activation/loading go smooth?
153  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 15, 2015, 11:18:38 AM
regarding date of birth, will send it to you in a sec
154  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 15, 2015, 11:08:06 AM
I received my card today. A few things where unexpected.
First of all, the card actually carries my name, which is cool but some may not like. Those polish cards were all generic and "anonymous"
The card is actually issued by https://www.mychoicecorporate.com/company/
Which at first glance seems legit.
I got no pin, but it states I have to call mychoice in the UK to activate the card. The letter states I will have to confirm the card number and my date of birth. I dont remember giving the latter when I signed up (and it may not have been my actual birthdate), but we'll see.

Hi

You need to activate the card in Account section on our website, for pin you have to call MyChoice (you can find phone number on website as well), you entered date of birth when you ordered your card.
a couple of questions:
1) how long did delivery take?
2) did you recieved card with MyChoice logo on it? the reason for this question is that our card issuer was supposed to update card design (should look like on photo in first post)

if you have any questions, please pm me
155  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 14, 2015, 10:34:36 AM
We don't ship cards to the USA, India and countries on sanction list. This was mentioned in this topic, your payment was refunded yesterday. Could you please pm me if you still have any questions

156  Economy / Service Discussion / E-Coin Card API on: January 12, 2015, 10:10:45 PM
As some of you probably know E-Coin (www.e-coin.io) has recently began shipping Bitcoin debit cards

Also we are planning to release our Card API to public in Feb, so other bitcoin wallets/services can integrate our card into their systems.

To start with, the functionality of the Card API will allow to:
- order a card
- view the balance
- view the transactions
- convert BTC to fiat

let us know what you think about Card API and would you be interested in using it
157  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 10, 2015, 06:38:57 PM
As one (or more of you) will be at Bitcoin Expo 2015, which I will also be attending, can you demo the card at the venue?

Like just show it and maybe we can do a small interview for CryptoArticles?

there will be three of us on the bitcoin expo 2015, we definitely can do an interview and demo E-Card.
Also we will be doing investor pitch on the conference and talking about coming E-Card API feature, could you pm us so we can arrange something

dmitrycrypto
BTC/UAH
UAH/USD: 19.30502

Wink

159  Local / Бизнес / Re: Биткоин дебит карта on: January 10, 2015, 10:51:33 AM

Xapo?  Smiley

Lulz card price:
$ 1.00

$166.66 per 1 BTC ... gotta love that conversion rate ...

it's not a conversion rate, it's price for the card - it's fixed for our and users convenience

the conversation rate is shown when you try to withdraw your bitcoins or buy them

let us know if you still experience difficulties with ordering card
