Habe meine WAVES für 0.0006 BTC pro WAVE bekommen. Ein Angebot eben für 0.00065 war schon verkauft als ich ihn angeschrieben hatte.

Can you explain this in more detail? Which files did you check and why is it a scam? Does it run? Then it is not a scam.

It uses the Scorex library, which does all the work, you have to provide just the genesis block and you can add and override some of the default behaviors. Of course, needs still a lot of work to implement all the promised features, but looks like the basics are working, and Scala is a very nice and powerful language to add the rest.

Please don't post FUD. Verify yourself: The code at https://github.com/wavesplatform/Waves is 232 kB, and the code of all *.scala files in src/main is 562 lines, and Scala allows to write very compact code. Still not much code, but it uses the Scorex library, which provides all the code required to run a blockchain.

It is a new codebase, not just a Bitcoin clone and they wrote that the code was released today, so the exchanges needs time to audit it. Would be bad if some malicious code runs on an exchange system and tries to steal coins. On slack @announcements Sasha wrote "Working with several exchanges, there's a little integration to be done, so it'll take a couple days.".

Ich habe von zwei Leuten WAVES gekauft: Einer hatte einen hohen Bitcointalk Trust-Level, da habe ich interaktiv per wavesplatform.slack.com stückweise den Handel gemacht, also ich habe erst etwas BTC geschickt (nachdem er mir 0.001 WAVES geschickt hat, damit ich per http://wavesexplorer.com verifizieren konnte, daß er die zu verkaufenden WAVES auch hatte und Kontrolle darüber hatte), er die WAVES usw. Ein anderer war nur ein halbes BTC, wollte nicht viel Arbeit haben und habe ihm vertraut und die BTC direkt geschickt, und auch die WAVES bekommen. Aber das kann natürlich Glück sein, oder ich habe es richtig eingeschätzt.

Sicherer ist per Escrow. Der Escrow-Service kann mitllerweile ja per wavesexplorer die Transaktionen prüfen. Also einer schickt dem Escow-Service die BTC und teilt ihm seine WAVES-Adresse mit. Sobald die WAVES angekommen sind, leitet der Escrow-Service die BTC weiter, oder so ähnlich. Am Anfang des Threads werden ein paar Leute von bitcointalk aufgelistet, die so einen Service anbieten. Am besten die mit 1% Provison nehmen, 0% finde ich  etwas verdächtig.

"Send" funktioniert prima. Habe gestern noch ein paar WAVES über den Markt-Thread hier nachgekauft.

If you already transferred WAVES to the address, but you have written down your seed, delete the phishing website and all cookies etc., then install the official client from github ( https://github.com/wavesplatform/WavesGUI/archive/v0.3.0.MAIN.zip , best on a clean computer), import your seed in it, create an additional address and "send" from your old address to the new one ASAP.

Wouldn't it be easier to deploy the Lite Client on https://wavesplatform.com ? Just for the ones who have problems installing it locally or on a mobile phone. I know it works from any webhost, but I won't post my site again, because looks like people don't like it. But would be perfect on the official website and I would happily remove it from my site and link to the Lite Client installation on the project site, maybe adding a WAVES faucet to my site to pay for the rest of the pre-paid year

Da wird es wohl keine bessere Lösung geben. Entweder du lebst komfortabel, und lässt alle Cookies für die Seite speichern, oder sicher, beides geht nicht. Es sei denn, der Seed könnte irgendwie wie eins der Auto-Completion Passwortfelder behandelt werden, was man dann im Browser speichern kann, aber das ist natürlich wieder nicht so sicher. Zumindest unter Linux verwendet Chrome aber den KDE Wallet Manager zum Speichern von Passwörtern, der mit einem zusätzlichen Master Passwort abgesichert ist. Bei Windows habe ich das noch nicht gesehen, aber dort ist das Sicherheitsbedürfnis wohl generell nicht so hoch.

I thought again about it and you are right, it is not a good idea, other people with not so good intentions like I have might copy the idea, and then phishing data, and even I can't guarantee that my website will not be hacked. And people might think it is ok to use not the official website, not a good role model.

I've updated the page and linked to the official clients, and just in case someone really wants to use my version (or for my personal use, when I can't install the official client), it is an extra link on the webpage, with additional warning in red. I hope it is ok now, I really don't want to cause any problems. Don't use it, if the official clients work for you.

It is not a phishing site, you can verify all files on it (e.g. download it with wget) and compare it to the official client. Only the ad banner PNG image is added to the login page. Just a service from me, if someone has problems installing the official Chrome plugin (maybe at work etc.) or using the zip file from Github. But I understand your warning, I would probably not trust it either, if some stranger would post such a site

Generating a new key works here, I just tested it again, but it needs some time when it loads the first time (the client is 4 MB with many files). Then all files are cached locally on your PC and it should be faster.

It is all original, no modification by me. I can login to it now from my iPad with Safari   Should be safe, because all data is saved locally, but no guarantee, because the hosting provider (or me) theoretically could modify the JavaScript scripts to capture your login data, or someone in-between, because the website traffic is not SSL encrypted.

This coin looks interesting. How much storage does the network provide? Will the Torrent feature be included in the new client?
