should the masternodes still have staking turned on? or does this mess it up?
On the same wallet you've got to choose:stake or MN...you can't operate MN and stake

I can't leave my computer on work all the time ((
That's bad...unfortunately it's necessary not really, if he runs is 1.3 a day, he'l build up stake over the 2/3 day the wallets closed. it wont be 100% takign advantage of everything it could have staked but its better than nothing. and shouldnt be a huge impact on the overall numbers. Yeah..sure..it's true

But I can't encrypt the wallet and not always close correctly
No problem at all on my side..it's strange Encrypted as usually, closed in 3 sec last version? v1.4.5.0-g32a928e Yeah okay, do without. Tell me how much I need coins and how much time for a simple staking You can stake even with 1 Crave but you'll probably not find a block in a year or so ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) To begin stake you need to have a coins matured in wallet at least 8 hrs but my knowledge is 1-2 days for full performance. I've got about 14k Crave and getting around 40 Crave a day. Don't worry abot 32/64bit cause 32bit works on 64bit great
|
|
|
I recommend to you all. Backup your wallet.dat, then erase all about Crave in its folder, then start a new clean wallet, then fully sync, then replace wallet.dat.DONE in 35 mins and working absolutely great

Updated the x64 Windows wallet link in the first post. This has the sync improvement. Syncs from scratch in about 20-30 minutes. Also disables address index by default, lower cpu use, generally runs better, and has updated checkpoints.
You're great...Thank you very very much ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I think the easiest solution would be a mandatory update and do blockchain pruning that would cut out those blocks that we can't sync past.
Maybe that's what ICM has in mind already, I don't know..
Uh, no. You are I think misunderstanding why syncing takes awhile. It is not some block that you can't sync past (if that were the case, the network will have stopped). The UI progress bar appears to stall, but it is still sync'ing a ton of data in the background. The overhead of having the address index on all the time is causing it to take a long time. We only need address indexing going if we are running darkpoold. So I put a flag in there to turn it off by default. Hi ICM, no,it's not that. If you download a clean wallet now, open it,you'll wait 1,2,3 days to get past that point and it'll never get. I have tried that many times. The only solution is to download a full blockchain. Yes but the reason is this, which was also an issue in bitcoin: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/4431This was fixed in Bitcoin Core when they rewrote the entire sync mechanism. Our codebase is not quite close enough to Core to be able to use the entirely new headers first download mechanism with multiple sync nodes. However we can do some things like mentioned in pull request 4431. But the address index is what is causing it to stretch out even longer. I tested it and tested a clean sync from scratch with it turned off. With it turned off by default I can sync the complete chain in something like 8 hours. Which is still long. With some other tweaks I am testing I think we can speed that up more. I haven't really been focused on optimizing the address indexing because darkpool/blur has seen little use so far, so I backburnered it while focusing on the new wallet tech and the markets. One day, we will probably have headers first support which will make sync'ing far less of a headache. There are some proof-of-stake specific challenges that have to get figured out first in order to do headers first though. Ok,thank you. Just do your best ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)

I would like to see one of those built on a Radxa, which has built-in Wifi. And a way to setup the wifi over micro-USB interface to a laptop. And a better UI, maybe an app that auto-detects these on the network and shows stats. Something nicer than a basic web page. Maybe integrate a small 2 line LCD panel to show IP address, uptime and stake stats.
I would like to see an update ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
