141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 28, 2023, 11:55:11 PM
If you start gambling when you don’t have money, there’s a 99% chance that it will even leave you worse than you were. Gambling can be about luck alone (depending on the game you are playing). Some games are obviously 50/50 and your extra intelligence won’t matter even if you tried to use it. Whereas there are games that if you check the statistics, you can give better prediction. A good example of this is football betting, basketball betting, and some other sports betting.

Gambling is all about luck mate even in sports betting. But you are right, it's not the same as doing luck-based games. We can somehow increase the chances of winning in sports betting if we are good at doing analysis. Even gambling is all about luck, we can't just rely on our luck to win games.

Strategy-based gambling games are the ones that don't rely on luck. If played properly, winning streak is always possible here.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 28, 2023, 11:46:00 PM
In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

Sometimes, why these players are taking longer playing gambling is because they are winning.

But time spent doesn't matter if the reason is to be entertained. If they are winning, obviously they are entertained resulting in a much longer time of playing. On the other hand, if they are losing, yes probably they want to spend more time playing as they want to chase their losses. I don't think we should have a general time spent playing in gambling. We should just stop once we feel we are unfortunate.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 22, 2023, 10:01:10 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

It's simple, rich gamblers have a large bankroll and they are capable of betting big amounts which can be associated with big wins. The larger the bankroll, the longer they can play, giving them more chances to win, unlike poor ones, their bankroll is just a small figure. Sometimes, before hitting a big win, the bankroll should accommodate big losses first, and since rich gamblers do have large bankrolls, they can wait for that big win to come even after losing big at the early bets.

Also with a large bankroll and steady source of income, these rich gamblers are just relaxed and not pressured at all to win. Poor ones on the other hand are pressured and stressed to win since if they lose that money in gambling, it's a disaster for their finance. The focus is not 100% on these poor gamblers since they are worried that they will lose.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do casino owners benefit from creating multiple casinos? on: December 22, 2023, 09:10:05 PM
Online gambling is one of the most active industries during the pandemic. One of the industries that become a big thing even the world is facing a global pandemic. I think that's what some gambling site owners today have in mind during the time they think of building a gambling site platform since it's proven that the gambling business can survive in that worst situation.

Let's think about it, if we owned a gambling site, why settle on a single-owned gambling site? There are lots of fish out there. Even those who were not a gambler before are now enjoying playing in an online casino. The target audience is everywhere that's why it's a must to have different owned gambling sites.

With lots of competitors around, some owners want to make sure that more users will come within only their premises. It's not possible if they only owned a single gambling site. They should hold more of it for that plan to become more effective. But they have to make sure that the good service will be maintained at all of their gambling sites.
145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 22, 2023, 08:42:24 PM
A lot of them seem to be hastily assembled clone sites with very little effort put in and gimmicky marketing. Do you guys have any thoughts on this... plague?

Indeed, also in a rush to attempt to lure people to fall in their scam scheme. But seriously speaking, even with an obvious look being a clone or the site is a clear bullcrap on the first look, why there are still others falling on the trap? It's not about being a newbie but rather there are really people who can easily fall on a tricky promotions that is too good for real. The cycle of scam in gambling world won't end as there will be always prey that can easily attract to the predators's trap, newbie or experience ones.

Most fake sites even upgraded today their tactics as they will put effort in site layout and will pay first during the early days of their operation.
146  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: December 22, 2023, 08:23:42 PM
A review should come from own experience of using the site and not just show the impression about the site.

In other words, as a gambling site review site, you should test the site for real and not just explain details about the site. Make an account there, and test the platform, test some of their games, test how convenient the deposit and withdrawal are, any everything as long as it is a real experience.

Don't also put lots of redirecting pages and banners on the site. Make the review site as clean and neat as possible.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Michael Jordan a gambling addict ? on: December 20, 2023, 10:50:43 PM
Yes, Michael Jordan is a gambling addict. But let's define addict here, it doesn't mean that he's wrecked or has arrogant behavior while being addicted to gambling. He has control, he is on himself, and he knows what his doing. Even spending lots of money on gambling, he already secured his finances on his responsibilities.

With how large his bankroll is specifically for gambling, it's impossible that he didn't win on some occasions. Therefore, everything is balanced. He also afford to put large amounts on his gambling bankroll because of his several investments. And since now retired from basketball for long, gambling might be one of his entertainment activities since then, with more time to spend on it.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 20, 2023, 10:34:00 PM
The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.

What is your take on this?

It's not my habit to read the terms and conditions but if it's a crypto-casino, I always look for their KYC terms. Before, when KYC was not a big deal, I rarely checked the terms of KYC on a crypto-casino but since regulators strictly mandate crypto-casinos, we should be aware of that. Good thing that there are still lots of crypto-casinos that taking KYC as not a mandatory requirement to play on the site.

I appreciate those crypto-casinos that have noticed upon registration about the mandatory KYC.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: December 20, 2023, 09:30:32 PM
I was gambling regularly, and wrecking my wallet as well lol but I can't consider myself having a gambling problem. Just enjoy your gambling as possible as you can. It doesn't mean that you are a regular gambler, you will become an irresponsible one. There are lots of addictive gamblers who can maintain being a disciplined gambler in their gambling habit. Even if they are losing much, it doesn't affect their relationship with their families, friends, and colleagues, and still able to manage their respective finances properly.

Don't pressure ourselves to win while on the other hand, don't aggressively chase those losses as well.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 18, 2023, 11:52:39 PM
I'm sure we don't have a source for an accurate answer here. Maybe surveys but that was only limited to a certain place. We can assume that it's not about what type of gambling why gamblers become addicted but rather in any gambler's mind, what they want is to hit that good wins no matter what. They will only achieve that target if they will continuously bet and gamble their money.

Who else doesn't want to win big in gambling, right? This is the clear reason why it leads to addiction no matter the gambling type.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does match fixing concern you often? on: December 18, 2023, 11:31:33 PM
On the other hand, it's probably not so healthy to think about match fixing as a gambler that much because there's very little you can do to actually have recourse against it as a mere player, as match fixing is organized at a very high level.

If you have that kind of mindset better stay away from betting on those you think are fixed or rigged matches. As a sports bettor for a long and if you are a regular bettor of that match, I think you should somehow know or have an idea how to play well in that match regardless if there's a suspected fixed match or not. You can also take that as an advantage instead of a disadvantage.

In my own personal experience as a sports bettor, I only bet on popular league as even there's a chance of game fixing here, the organizers won't ruined their reputation for that as it's hard to earned people's trust and they are considered these leagues as business and they will protect it from any form of negative impression.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Drake Event: a total ripoff on: December 18, 2023, 10:56:19 PM
The live stream event was being hyped and yet the overall feedback is not good.

There are lots of questions like those winners where we didn't even know if those are real and legit. Those guys that were interviewed were like staged ones hehe. I'm not even sure if it was a real livestream or pre-recorded. Anyway, I am amazed watching Drake and his brother (friend?) playing slots which most of their bets came from the buy feature and not a manual spin or rolls. Well, if I have millions of bankroll too I won't bother to do a manual bet Smiley .
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Heritage is Some How Spiritual on: December 15, 2023, 11:53:40 PM
Football indeed is a gme of passion. A passion that drives you to win at all cost and not loss. I come to understand that when it comes to football the roots and foundation of a football team matters. A team that is not built with a strong foundation. In terms of reputation, pattern, performance and strategy may affect the players that will be playing in that team years to come. What am saying in essence is that football may be hereditary. I believe you may or may not gree to the fact that some football clubs have passed down the spirit of not able to win league titles in as much as the current players of that team tries. They always end up bottling the league at the end.

I would say the same goes on other sports and leagues. It's not hereditary in general as sports are just invented and not naturally occur, but rather these athletes were early involved in that sport in their youth that's why while growing up, they used to know everything about that sport.

I understand your point where a certain losing team remains consistently loser even counting for several years or decades. It's like these bad luck is being passed by next generation and will remain there for long. But in reality, it's impossible that the losing spirit will not be broke soon. Someday, a good team will rise from that losing team and will change the bad image into a good one.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 15, 2023, 11:34:23 PM
I would say, yes it's possible. As a lonely person do have lots of time browsing the internet, it's impossible not to encounter gambling-related advertisements and possibly create a thinking to try their luck. Especially for those who are broke on money or having financial struggles, because of being in that situation, it might lead them more to push themselves in gambling hoping that's the only solution they need to end up being financially broke.

Let's say these lonely people are not financially broke, they might see gambling as a form of entertainment that keeps them exciting and happy where they even forgot their problems. In that situation, they used gambling as a tool to escape the real reason why they are in a lonely state. Good as an alternative medicine at first but should be moderated while they progress in gambling.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 15, 2023, 11:19:26 PM
One way of approach is to focus on winning certain number of bets in a series of bets. For instance, you can target to win at least 4 bets in a series of 10 bets with the odds being at least 5 odds. This way, you can lose 6 times and win 4 times yet you still remain highly profitable.

This is my approach and through it, I don't get depress over few loses. This method works for me and I feel it will also work for others. Your opinion are highly welcomed.

Good for you that it works. Just keep it that way and maintained being cool. But on the other hand, there are gamblers that still not satisfied with anything, regardless if they are winning or losing. When winning, stopping is not even an option because why they should stop when they are currently winning. In the case of losing, stopping is not even an option too since why they should stop if they need to chase those losses.

Gambler's satisfaction really has no limit. They will push and push until being wrecked.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Passionate gambler keeps the gambling boards rolling even after retirements on: December 15, 2023, 11:09:40 PM
I don't think it's because of being a gambler before why he ended up establishing such initiative and events.

It's because he truly love the game and being a gambler is just a part of it. But deep inside, that interest in checkers leads still in him and to enjoy the moment, he organized competitions. It's the same as those famous sports individuals that after retiring, still doing some things related to their activities in their prime.

Best examples are Michael Jordan of basketball, organizing basketball clinics and competition, Manny Pacquiao of boxing, builds boxing gyms and hosting some local game event related to boxing and many other famous sports celebrity.

Adding to that, looks like that man is really well-off and can afford to spend on that yearly event.

A lot of them seem to be hastily assembled clone sites with very little effort put in and gimmicky marketing. Do you guys have any thoughts on this... plague?

Starting from now, considered that as red flagged. Besides, I don't know why some users still end up depositing money on that site where today, there are lots of reputable gambling sites around. Don't tell me, these assembled cloned sites do have an interesting promotions that isn't present on reputable casinos? Where's the common sense there at these people?

I admit I also testing new sites, it's usual, but I have my own set of criteria before testing a new site and not just dive easily at those.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 11:58:39 PM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?

It means you are not enjoying anymore your sports betting. Why feel stressed when watching games that you have a bet on? Just enjoy the game. It's just normal to react to being disappointed when we lose because that was part of the gambling. If you want to gambling for fun, every bet you will make should just be a normal situation for you and you are just enjoying the game no matter what.

Tried not to watch the game you have a bet Smiley Surprise yourself with the result you will see at the score page website.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: December 13, 2023, 11:49:47 PM
Let me tell you, the feeling is far from pleasant. It leads to a decline in your work performance, which can have significant consequences since that's your primary source of income. It might be manageable if you're winning, but the harsh reality is often quite the opposite. Even when we do win, we tend to spend most of our winnings, so we don't treat it as business money. This leaves us in a precarious situation when we lose because the money we initially budgeted for our families gets diverted to cover unexpected gambling-related expenses.

I understand this situation. I was there at that moment before. Aside from a declined in work performance, I also feel not interested anymore to do my work. It leads me to have low grade on that particular month. Lots of errors were made to the point that I was even called by my supervisor to addressed those errors.

I suddenly realized that something is wrong now. I've began to change that habit and tried to return to my usual shape as a good employee. After a months of tough challenge to fight the temptation of doing gambling at work, I finally managed to get out of it and get back on track on now as a good team member.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 12, 2023, 11:01:17 PM
We can't just simply say to other gamblers that they should not believe in such a first-game win trap.

Let them push through and experience themselves those they should expect once they continue to gamble. Whether they fall or not after that first-game experience, only they can tell. Newcomers won't understand it until they push their gambling experience.

Later on, they will realize the true meaning behind the first-game winning experience.
