I use Air-Tite capsules from http://www.valleycoin.com/ who also sell stuff on eBay, now days I just order direct from them, Air-Tite have a very high reputation for quality, I find the 28 mm ring capsules a very good fit for Casascius single bitcoins & expect that 29 mm direct fit capsules would work very well too but unfortunately don't see this size listed by ValleyCoins - I've tried the 30 mm & they rattle around a bit, also being thinner than the capsule thickness allows for they will rattle a bit anyway, you can just squeeze 2 in to a capsule. I have found that plastic film roll contains are perfect for loose 1 bitcoins & think that they would hold about 33 or 34 coins, there are plenty of varieties of these on eBay - I prefer the clear transparent ones, most are more opaque though. I like the black ring ones you have there, I think I might get a couple of those for the ones I plan on giving to myself for Christmas

Would you like some TRC on your pizza? T = Tomatoes R = Ravioli C = Corn Seems appropriate, so sure! forgive me for being cheap I'm thinking hot-n-ready since you like toppings let's make it a small with everything and a little something for the driver so 1 btc

Thanks but TRC only!
Unless I'm missing something? my 0.25 btc for your 1500 trc? roughly a small pizza

Any takers tonight? I'm offering 1500 TRC right now.
How about a small? say 0.25 btc?

A stack of 51 coins makes 3 inches. (I know this because I frequently roll 50 coins using 3-inch masking tape, and there's just a tiny margin left over).
So I think that makes the coins 0.59 inches or 1.50mm thick.
I am interested to know how well these capsules work if you try them. Sounds like they should work, I'm going to try them, I'll let you know.

Well, if it still does that with only one card in though, there's something fundamentally wrong with the card I would think. He should test it on another system before he buys a new PSU. I run 3x 7950s on an 850w PSU and I've never seen a hiccup.
I can get all 3 to mine for a period of time now and all at the same rate as long as I keep intensity to 17 or below. Temps aren't an issue either. But I've noticed as soon as I do anything (even just making the fans run faster) I pretty much get a BSOD error and shutdown. Well that's a start, I agree with taco I would at least look at the bios in rbe and see if it has been altered any if so maybe flash it with one of your other cards bios. Then I would maybe try to under volt/clock the cards and check your stability with a lesser power draw on your psu.

Ok after all damn day of working on this, I think I have some more information. I've been getting a Video TDR Bluescreen. That seems to indicate a lack of power. I have a Kingwin 800W Mach 1 PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168171210264xHDD 1xSSD 1 DVDRW i7 920 EVGA Classified e760 Several case fans. 6 Gigs RAM 3x 5830 Nothing is overclocked. Is this PSU up to the task? 1 5830 consumes around 300 watt. system overload O_o? Well isn't that just jim damn dandy. Guess I'll start looking for one 1000W? I would think the power supply would be sufficient at stock clocks and volts, I think it's more likely a driver issue (what version are you using?) with monitors not being connected to the cards, might need a couple dummy plugs.

Have you tried disabling ULPS?

Bump for sale of rig #2 to mikesheadroom, items boxed up and shipped out.
|
|
|
Are you based in US? If yes, will you sell Rig #2 for USD 200300? I can pay via BTC or Paypal. (edit. corrected typo in price)
I want to get some of this stuff moving, so I would do $300 without the frame or boxes if you want those add an extra $20.
|
|
|
I am looking into jumping in soon. I haven't yet approached you to buy one of these rigs because I'm waiting on some money to come in. It'll be in PPUSD; do you accept PayPal?
Although I prefer btc I would consider PayPal, pm me what you have in mind and we'll go from there.

Good luck.. Difficulty will increase around 20x with ASICs and there's the block reward halving.
Yes, yes, but these could be refit to mine Litecoins, or even PPCoins. Yeah everybody knows about the upcoming events and my numbers tell me even I don't sell a single thing and just keep mining until bitter end, the hardware will still be worth something even if only a fraction of today's value, I think I'd at least be even and probably ahead to just keep mining, there are plenty of mining options out there so who really knows for sure, anyone who has built a rig or two knows how much work and time goes into to it and it's a lot and I just don't have the time anymore, but hey if your looking to get into mining these are ready to go, they all mine bitcoins one is already set-up and dialed for Litecoins and I have some ready made litecoin mining images to put on a flash drive for the other two if that's how you roll.
