how do you create a query on zpool?

By using the information here:
http://zpool.ca/site/api

Someone posted a Powershell script several pages back on how to query this every 5 minutes and save it to a CSV file.  I then took it and graphed it in Google sheets.  I'll probably look at doing something in Python eventually.

Fee is 2% for the pool, but prices fluctuate on the exchanges and it takes time to mature the coins so the price you mine at might be different than the price it sells at.  Crackfoo has said that he pays the fees to payout coins.

I'm wondering if someone can help me get my multipool miner up and running.  I installed it just fine, except for the fact that when I first tried to start it, it requested I change permissions. I didn't know what that was so I said "N" for no.  When I tried to run it the second time all I get is unauthorized access messages non-stop.  It now only as for my username and I don't get the options to change permissions.  Can someone tell me if that is the problem or is it something else?

(see image below)

http://i64.tinypic.com/26249xh.png

If you delete and reextract it should ask you to do it again.   Basically it is saying that it doesn't have write permissions to the stats directory in the folder where multipoolminer is located.  If you look up how to change windows permissions you can likely fix it.  Otherwise make sure the multipoolminer is not located in your program files directory.  Put it somewhere under the root of your C drive.   Program Files requires special permissions for writes usually.  Also if it seems like your computer hangs when it is benchmarking it is likely the FireIceNvidia which seems to consume way too many resources when running.  Its never profitable compared to the others so you could just remove it from the miners folder.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex account hacked and all monies traded away,TICKET NUMBER #271818 on: July 10, 2017, 04:42:14 AM
yes they have gained more customers but this is something they should of been prepared for or at least had some kind of plan ready for when/if it happened which clearly they didn't, and theyre not getting millions of people a month at all! couple hundred thousand tops maybe, and do you really think all these new comers are all going to use 2FA no i think not and with all the extra money polo are getting due to all these new customers they have even more money to fund their support department, at least coinbase support is actually replying to people, i really don't think you understand why people are so hacked off! I'm hacked off because i lost my money yes of course if i get it back thats great if not i live and i learn, obviously i hope to get it back but I'm not counting on it, but do you know the real reason people are hacked off is because poloniex isn't getting back to anyone thats been hacked nor have they stopped the hacker nor have they mentioned it at all!! if they got back to me to at least let me know whats going on i wouldn't mind as much! but people have gone months without a reply, its not like someone wants a general question answered, my bloody account has been compromised you think they would priorities don't you?, and as for i have no proof, have you seen how many people this has been happening too? ahah its not just a couple of people my friend its a lot, hundreds of thousands have been taking from people, i don't need proof if poloniex was to actually do something about it they could track down the accounts and figure out who's account is behind this all, have they done this nope! people are still getting hacked! you can blame us all you like but the truth is its down to some low life who clearly can't earn money so he/she has to take it from others who have worked for it! it seems to me that the information is coming from polo, its not happened to any other exchange and as i said the password i used for poloniex is one of a kind and only ever used on one devise, keep denying it all you like my friend all i say is be careful yes i made a mistake and I'm kicking myself for it believe me ahah I've been saying to myself for ages i need to get 2FA now i regret it, i have been trading crypto for over 3 years this is the first problem I've had, i normally suggest poloniex to a lot of people as i have over a thousand followers online and in groups, like I've said if i get my money back thats great if not thats life and i have to take some blame for this i understand that, but for you to come here and just purely blame everyone because they didn't have an extra security step activate is very low of you in my opinion, these people want helpful information not someone kicking them while theyre down!

Coinbase's GDAX put on 1 million customers in a month.  What happened?  Oh yeah flash crash just like Polo had a couple months ago.  You're dealing with financial transactions which means you need to vet those support people and train them to make sure they don't send your coins into oblivion or give your coins to any dickwad that puts in a support ticket.  Work in a support department for 20 years like I have and see how long it takes to spin up new good people and how money doesn't really factor into the equation.  As for a plan, I doubt any company could predict that next month they are going to take on hundreds of thousands of new customers and be able to respond in kind.  Maybe they could, but you're talking about likely hiring hundreds of more support people and trying to train them.  Which means that at 20 people a class you're going to need 10's of trainers and 10's of managers and 10's of more HR people to handle all the benefits and payroll.  All those people need training and time to get acclimated to the systems.  That's if Poloniex even has that many people it CAN hire in an economy that has 4.4% unemployment.  But you know they have all this money and can just clone new people because that's how the world works.  Take some personal responsibility instead of blaming something you obviously don't understand.

We get it you're pissed because you did something stupid and now you're paying for it.  Poloniex should respond, but the fact of the matter is you left yourself vulnerable.  As I've said in my posts before by all means sue them into oblivion if you think you have the proof to do it.  Otherwise wait patiently for a response to your support ticket.  I guarantee that you'll get a response from that before you get a settlement or answer from your lawsuit.  Until then spouting off on a forum about how it's all Poloniex's fault when you knowingly left yourself vulnerable isn't going to get you anywhere.

As for the number of people getting hacked I've seen like what?  3-4 on here claiming that, not hundreds of thousands.  As for whether that million customers will use 2FA it doesn't matter, the fact is YOU didn't.  If they don't and they get hacked then that is on them not you or me.  Honestly I hope you get your money back, but the fact is you played in waters you obviously didn't understand and I hope you learned your lesson.  You sound exactly like the people who had their World of Warcraft accounts hacked for years because they didn't use 2FA too and that was just a stupid game account.  I've been hacked before and it hurt, but I learned from it.  This is why I'm telling you to take some responsibility for YOUR mistake.  Maybe Poloniex will help you, maybe they won't, but in the end the responsibility is still yours because YOU took the risks not Poloniex.

There is a reason people say don't leave money on the exchanges.  Always put it into cold storage.  Keep your crypto safe.  Why?  Because they want to see you have to jump through 10 hoops to trade your money?  NO because they got burned and don't want you too.  As I said hopefully you've learned your lesson and I'm sorry you lost your money.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex account hacked and all monies traded away,TICKET NUMBER #271818 on: July 09, 2017, 07:38:11 PM
Of course people are getting hacked.  No one is suggesting otherwise, but if you didn't have 2FA enabled on your account you were just asking to have everything taken.

Between malware, keyloggers, hacking other databases, getting into your email they can and will find some people's usernames and passwords.  You can easily protect yourself.  The extra 30 seconds it takes to login everytime with 2FA pales in comparison to being taken for everything you have.  But Poloniex is the steward of my account you say?  Bullshit, you are.  It costs nothing to protect yourself this way.  Use the desktop version of google authenticator if you don't have a phone, it is still far better than not having 2FA enabled at all.

is 2FA mandatory? no i thought not and yeah we didn't have it on but thats not why we got hacked i can assure you my computer is not compromised i have had it checked by a professional, i never use the same password for anything nor do i give it to anyone so its obvious they got this information from polo! yes i feel stupid for not having 2FA but again its not mandatory so either polo should make it so or they should have better cyber security and they should insure our money in my opinion, my bank insures my money from cyber attacks as should poloniex due to the amount they're making and the amount of money thats being traded on poloniex, its a bloody joke do you have any idea how much they make from fees? yet their support takes for ever to get back to people and their servers are always messing up, they are meant to be one of the best crypto exchanges about they need to start acting like it, how're people meant to trust crypto when they can't trust the exchanges? every time an exchange gets hacked or goes down, crypto market cap drops, why? because people lose faith! they need to improve the way they run its as simple as that. yes i may of lost my money for good but I'm not letting polo get off with this its not acceptable .

I'd like to see a company that gains hundreds of thousands or a million new customers a month keep up with the support load, especially one that deals with monetary transactions.  Coinbase isn't doing any better...

You're playing with huge amounts of money in an environment that literally brand new and basically completely unregulated.  There is HUGE risks involved with that.  You say that you aren't compromised because an "expert" checked your computer and yet you have no idea where the information was leaked from.  You make assumptions that it must come from Polo and yet you have no evidence.  It is just as likely that you yourself used a VPN to "hack" your own account and looking to make an insurance claim.  I'm not saying either is true or even that it didn't come from Polo, but until there is evidence of such a thing you can't say with certainty that was the case.  Malware scanning, antivirus, firewalls they can all be bypassed and if the hackers are good enough go completely undetected doing it.  Hell they may not even have done any of those things they could have social engineered the support process with other information they found out about you and made Poloniex support think that it was a legit request coming from you.  Until you have evidence then you have no idea.  Saying that Poloniex was definitely hacked is just as much spreading FUD as the other things you claim.  All the while the people who are smart enough to understand cyber security are getting along just fine.

And yes I think that Poloniex should make 2FA authentication a mandatory requirement, but that doesn't let you off the hook for not using it.

You just need to open the Electra Wallet application with coins in it and let it run.  If you have encrypted your wallet you will need to unlock the wallet.  There is a checkbox to only unlock it for staking purposes.

Hi there, Im new to this mining buss, having been using GPU mining on Nicehash which profits slowed quite a bit over the last 3 weeks, so decided to give Zpool a try, to my dismay, mined at around 2kS/s a day for 5 days, only to have a BTC balance of 0.009? Something very wrong or is the dash board borked? If the dashboard is right, then I'm most definitely switching back to Nicehash.

Friend of mine reported the same, mining around 1.5Ks/s for the same period, total earned less than me, he switched back to Nicehash too.

You should have been able to see the earnings in the graphs on your wallet page over time.  Hard to say what you should have earned over that period because the value of each pool fluctuates over time.  I think at least on my 2.5KH/s rig it shows that I would usually mine around .008 per day if I only mined equihash.

According to the weekly value for hashing it has had a 22% fluctuation and has averaged .00388142BTC/kH/day.  That means it could have been paying as much as .0047353BTC/kH/day down to as low .0031815BTC/kH/day.  At least according to my multipoolminer monitoring.

You might want to try multi-algorithm mining otherwise Nicehash will definitely pay a nice flat rate of 80% what you likely could be getting in my experience, but it is absolutely a no brainer to run that.  Although even on Nicehash I wouldn't be mining only Equihash.

I'm going to guess and say that it is a problem getting the nethash rate for those coins algorithms.  Which mean it isn't really able to estimate how much you are going to be able to earn through mining.  That's just a guess though.  The exchange rates seem to be correct, but there is no indication of how much you would be expected to mine in a 24 hour period listed.

Am mining skein. Can someone explain why it is taking sooooooo long for shares to get mined? Right now sitting at 83 minutes! This is excessive and I just do not understand it. Thanks

Edit: a whole 78 digibyte got mined in 83 minutes! As I was posting that showed up. Am running 13 ghs so I fail to see how it is that low and that long between shares. Please explain this. Thanks

whattomine says that with 13gh/s you will average 178.714686 DGB hour, but that is the mean value if you were mining only DGB.  78 is certainly low, but bad luck can certainly account for it.  Also there are other coins on zpool's skein pool so likely some of your hash went to one of those coins as well and may have also been unlucky.  If you're looking just for DGB likely better to mine specifically on a DGB only pool like supernova or theblocksfactory IMO.

NOTIFICATION

The pre-mine is has been split between multiple addresses for the purpose of testing.

It is NOT being moved with the intention of selling. The full amount will be returned to a single address about a week after the hard fork occurs.

Why not just buy some off market and use those?  Or use bumba's coins. Not sure why you have to move the pre-mine at all.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECA] Electra ⚡ | POW/POS | NIST5 | Super Rewards Bonanza on: July 06, 2017, 05:10:37 PM
no volume eca btc
any idea add other exchange

That's because it is listed on the DOGE, ESP2, and KIP exchanges which allowed the "price" to drop below 1 sat.  Not reason to buy for 1 sat when you can get them for for .00035 DOGE.  The price is fluctuating so there is a little trading activity.

Market cap did get up to about $300k USD, but has since fallen back down to $200k.  We'll see if we can get some traction on it.  It doesn't really offer a lot of features so not sure what is going to happen to make it compete against all the other coins out there.

Thought you guys might like to see this as well.

Well this is what I've been getting the little less than a week from mining on zpool.  There were some minor periods of missing data, but overall this is pretty indicative of what I've been earning.

This is all queried from the site on a 5 minute basis.  The beginning was when Bitcore was having its huge surge at the beginning of the week and therefore I was getting much better returns and quicker payouts.  Since then the markets have cooled and earnings are slowing down, but as you can see it is all pretty consistent with mine.  Note that this is using Multipoolminer only mining on Zpool with just about every algorithm enabled.  So it is switching algorithms up to once a minute depending on profitability.

This is the earnings from 7  - 1080's and 1 - 1080Ti running 24/7 at 80% TDP

Maybe I could earn more somewhere else mining one particular coin, but this is very straight-forward and easy to do.  Chart was created on Google sheets from an imported CSV file.  If someone has better suggestions on charting or data that they would like to see from this presented in a different way then by all means let me know.

Everything is on the Left Axis except the Green Total payout line is referring to the Right Axis.  The Total gain line at the bottom is the 5 minute change since the last gain entry.  Everything is in BTC

I've zero issues depositing or withdrawing money from Polo.  Never been in a pending state, but I'm L2 verified.

Also always make sure you have 2FA enabled.

Did you increase the compression settings of the executable?  Usually any kind of compression or obfuscation will trigger these generic alerts.

As I recalled when I first scanned the new release when I downloaded it, it came up clean.

Now it is 2/61 detected for IRCBot

Is it me or is Equihash is defaulting the difficulty to 200?

My 1080 Ti rig is not finding shares at a steady pace.  It used to start at 127.  Can the default difficulty be lowered, please?

Thanks.

I noticed this on my 1080 as well that it is taking quite a long time to find shares at times.

Can somebody explain this weird situation?
I have two rigs that for the last couple of days refuse to do switching routine regulary and just keep on running EWBF.
Yet my zpool page shows no equihash earnings, and its full other algo earnings.
http://zpool.ca/?address=1PjoqGuqbvB6GVjv8bZmSMxSDRF3nzRmJa
I tried restarting Nemos, but it still keeps on using EWBF exclusively.

I see that you earned a few Hush in the last hour.  Earnings have been low the last couple of days from what I mentioned yesterday.  I also noticed most of my miners being primarily on Equihash as well.  Maybe just unlucky block finds I guess.  Not sure what was causing the lower earnings, but my multipoolminer has shown Equihash near the top most of the time as well.

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: July 04, 2017, 11:04:00 PM
Just create the file with notepad or any text editor and paste those lines into the file.

Make sure the file is named maxcoin.conf and not maxcoin.conf.txt like Windows will likely try to name it because you have known file extensions hidden.

Not sure if its the markets or what, but earnings today seem pretty low.  Obviously we had some pretty nice returns from the Bitcore run, but the pendulum seems to have shifted back the other way.

Just really not sure if there is something I could tweak to improve performance or not.  Been using Multipoolminer and seems to be pretty solid running, but not really sure on the returns the last couple days.
