141  Economy / Speculation / Re: My BTC Prediction for 2016.. on: February 22, 2016, 09:05:34 PM
The prediction of the bitcoin 2016 is pretty difficult because you never know what may happen with it and his market, the halving is coming and no one can really say it will really rise to a high amount, its just a prediction.
I think it will rise to a high amount this year and than lower again to a stable number.

That is just a general opinion. The bitcoin block reward having will raise the price quite a lot. And it could even double the price.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 22, 2016, 09:04:11 PM
I don't really understand what you're getting at. People that use bitcoin probably wouldn't want a bitcoin bank because it destroys the decentralized nature of bitcoin. And also if you have your own wallet and address, you can be your own bank.

Exactly! We don't need  no banks for Bitcoin we already have enough of them for fiat. Since Bitcoin goes up with time (in long-term anyway it does) just holding your coins is much better than putting your fiat in a bank.

If there comes a bitcoin bank it will destroy the bitcoin for good, the bitcoin is for self control not to be controlled, it would be very stupid to have a bitcoin bank.
I hope this will never happen the bitcoin will disappear if that is happening.

If there is a bitcoin bank, I might save some coins there and I will also borrow from it if I need.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: February 22, 2016, 09:02:36 PM
Well really it is only the supply for people who do not want to use them and just hold them. Price is really just relevant on demand and Bitcoin has the decimal points to be used up to a very small value.

If most people hold the bitcoin and do not sell in the exchanges, the bitcoin price will rise and not fall.
144  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: February 21, 2016, 11:59:00 AM
Bitcoins will be more and more, look at BTC China mining farms. May be someone save a lot of BTC, because wait for price increase.  Wink

The number of bitcoin is limited. Every day, there are loss of certain coins. So the total number will decrease eventually.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: February 21, 2016, 11:57:45 AM
"day of the no oil" will not EVER happen. tesla cars is real piece of shit. do you want to save money and nature - go to LPG.
Don't fool yourself. Many new technology like tesla car are ready for many years but their production is halted due to politics of oil companies and their influence on every aspect of living today not to mention Government.

With the cheap fuel price now, will the electricity car be used less in the near future. Does the Tesla sale fall?
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 21, 2016, 11:55:17 AM
I thinks Bitcoins does not need any bank because it has the facilities of keeping our own money in our laptop, mobile through the block chain digital wallet.

Bitcoin banks are nothing more than third parties holding your wealth. Only noobish people will make use of these Bitcoin banks because they will probably get a certain interest rate for storing their coins there. Our Bitcoin clients that we have installed on our PC's are Bitcoin banks. We don't need anything else.

If a bitcoin bank is regulated. It will give back the money when I need, I will use it. I can lend money to others through the bank.

According to the following topic, the bitcoin price will rise soon.

Consensus Reached
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1371359.0

That is good news. I think the price of bitcoin will rise gradually. I am not sure how high the price will be now.
148  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: February 21, 2016, 11:50:36 AM
It is now not a right time to sell it. I think that will be not so good for yourself. I hope later that the value will rise.
If the value will rise in the future than we can have some much profit later and that will be nice.

I agree with that. There is consensus about the block size increase, we will have 2MB block in July.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: My BTC Prediction for 2016.. on: February 21, 2016, 11:48:14 AM
In a short time it will reach the value of $500 and the price will start fluctuating which leads to further rise and stagnation can be found over the $400 level.

I think the price will hovering around $450 in the next few weeks. it will not rise too high before the whales have enough.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: February 20, 2016, 09:44:57 PM
what about 7950 ? Is it worth mining with that card ?

7950 is about 10-15% slower than 7970. So if the price is 20% below the 7970, it is OK to buy and mine.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: February 20, 2016, 09:43:51 PM
That's far from happening in this days.. price can't even stay at $350+  when it dipped during the dramas last January,..

$350 is the short term bottom. I think it will not dip below $350. Even if it does, it will be a short period.

I also think so. If there is no big bad news, the bitcoin price will stay above $350. It could rise due to halving.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: My BTC Prediction for 2016.. on: February 20, 2016, 09:42:30 PM
I wonder can we see under 400$ this weekend?
This is just another small pump so i don't expect more than 440$ .
This price is more than welcome for now!
But the end of 2016 can bring us to highest height!

i don't think we will see the bitcoin price fall back to below $400 this weekend unless a whale trader dumps thousands of bitcoins at once. and then there still is a possibility that after that the price will still remain over $400. the sentiment is too good currently.

Do not worry, the bitcoin price is still over $430. I think the price performance is still quite strong. It will stay above $400.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 20, 2016, 09:40:54 PM
bitcoin wallet itself can be considered as bank.
and people use bitcoin for anonymity.

Can you borrow bitcoin from you? If I borrow the bitcoin from you to buy a house, will you lend me the money?
154  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: February 20, 2016, 09:39:31 PM
You should never sell your bitcoins because of the market that is upcoming now so if you wait. you can make profit for sure but it will take some time, just be patient.

besides, price won't be coming below $400 so no need to sell right now and worry, this is the right time to save bitcoin and wait..   Smiley

I think the price is quite stable. Even if it drops below $400, it will be a brief period, no more than a few weeks. So hod on.
155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: February 19, 2016, 12:22:25 PM
I will buy a lot of bitcoin with most of my savings if the bitcoin price drops below $300 again. It is a good opportunity.
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: My BTC Prediction for 2016.. on: February 19, 2016, 12:21:12 PM
1700$ is way too much, 700$ yes, can go to that, but not 1700$, even halving won't change price so much

I think the halving will double the bitcoin. That will make it worth about $800. The general adoption will double it again, making it $1600.
157  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: February 19, 2016, 12:19:52 PM
hmmh, i would save them for price rise, i mean it will rise up again, you just need to wait for right moment

The bitcoin price is very low at the moment. It is not good time to sell. It is better to sell after the halving.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: February 19, 2016, 12:18:20 PM
But the Dash's difficulty is still around 37xx. It has been there for very long time. I am not sure if that miner is real or not.
I agree with you. Rumours of X11 ASICs have been around for years. But the total mining market on X11 is quite small, and I am not sure it will justify a development of proper ASICs.

When the Scrypt ASIC came out, litecoin coin was worth hundreds of millions. Now, the Dash and other X11 coins are worth less than $100 m.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 19, 2016, 12:16:10 PM
A bitcoin bank would be very stupid, the  bitcoin is fast, secured and untraceable.
If there will come a bank many user will stop using the bitcoin and the bitcoin will also slowly disappear.
Well, I guess today bitcoin does not require bank. bitcoin has a wallet that has a faster process than the bank, and security can also be said to be good

I hope you can buy a house without using a bank. You can borrow money from the people you know. I have to use a "bank".

Now more and more companies emerge to let people invest in other people project. Crowdfunding could be the future especially thanks to bitcoin!

Those companies, the ones capable of orchestrating crowd-funding at sufficient level & with sufficient speed? And isolate the lenders from the risk of runners? You know what they'll be called? Banks.

No. In banks you have 0 control over on what you invest 0 control on where your money goes and 0 insurance that the money will come back.

What is FDIC?

Quote
In fact at the moment you make a deposit you have nothing but a bank credit.

What does that even mean?

Quote
Companies like Kickstarter would totally be able to do that and there would be no link to a bank. Just a way for you to invest money THE AMOUNT YOU WANT TO INVEST and nothing more.

"Kickstarter applies a 5% fee on the total amount of the funds raised.[28] Their payments processor applies an additional 3–5% fee." In exchange, you have no legal standing if you get *nothing* for your investment (even when the project succeeds).

Number of home purchases financed by Kickstarter: 0 (zero).

We need a "bank", it will be no different from the conventional banks in that it can let us save and borrow bitcoin.
