Grand opening of EasyDarkcoin.comI'm glad to announce the grand opening of Easy Darkcoin. This unique platform was created to help British users buy DRK via instant bank transfer, which eliminates the need to buy BTC in order to trade for DRK on exchanges. All orders placed will be filled within 1 hour (or less) of payment being received, thanks to the Faster Payment banking payment system in the UK. EasyDarkcoin.comIf anyone has any feedback or questions, please let me know! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) is there a need to protect your business website with whoisguard? http://www.whois.com/whois/easydarkcoin.comRED FLAG #1 You have every right to be suspicious, crypto is a dirty game, but I really don't see how whois guard is a red flag. Check my sig to see other similar services I run. I have plenty of happy customers and want to expand to DRK as I see the long term potential and value in this coin/project. I spoke with the DRK team (Fernando) before developing the service to make sure they're happy with my launching it, I'm not sure they would vouch for me since they don't know me that well, but I'm sure there are others who would. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I can confirm that he is in contact with me since a few weeks ago and I am happy that the dark British have another option. As he says, I can't vouch for him because I don't know him, but everything I asked was answered and I felt good about him. If it is scam, it is one of the most time-consuming I've seen and I don't think the reward would be big. However, I don't know how UK banks work, so I don't have an opinion about the specifics of how he works. As always, do your research and act only if you feel comfortable ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Why is Counterparty sinking so fast ?
The only thing I've heard from them recently is that the two Counterparty founder developers that had joined the Medici project (Overstock's CEO Patrick Byrne project to "replace Wall Street") are no longer part of that project. Apparently Byrne wants Medici to work on all blockchain's not just on Conterparty/Bitcoin. Being associated with Byrne can only be good, so maybe not being associated with him any more could be interpreted as if there is a problem? I've never understood markets...

I'm behind reading as usual, so this announcement is out of context of what ya'all are talking about.... but.... I just finally joined the foundation. I realized it would only get harder and harder to part with the dark as the price goes up and after hearing on that excellent interview here: https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/beyond-bitcoin-26-darkcoin with Fernando and Evan, that they hadn't raised as much as they'd hoped, I decided to sh*t and get off the pot. Anyway, um... thought I'd turn this into a call for anyone thinking of joining the foundation, to maybe do so now before it ends up costing double or worse 'cause the coin may finally be on the rise for good? Thanks for becoming a member!!!! We are quite happy and grateful with the number of members we already have. The problem is that our community is still quite small, so the amounts of funds that can be raised is limited. We have too many ideas in which we would like to spend those darkcoins ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Once Darkcoin achieves world domination we are confident that the number of members will be huge and the funds will be enough.

On the adoption side, Fernando's account of the commercial basis for privacy in cryptocurrencies includes several compelling examples that I'd never even though of but that once you realise it are absolutely profound.
So many of my own questions have been answered with this interview - really great stuff ! (b.t.w. what is Fernando's handle on here ? - does he have and identity on bitcointalk ? he sounds like a great guy to have working on the project).
tok... you've been staring at charts for far too long my friend! Why its fernando, as in... fernando? Good 'ol fernando. Team member and DCT mod? As in Foundation creator fernando? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Evan instamined fernando by the way. Yeap, that was me ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Learning that I was instamined and live in the blockchain explains why I always felt close to HAL 9000 ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Beyond Bitcoin - 26 - DarkcoinAll about Darkcoin. Having sworn my allegiance to the 2.0 space long ago I was blown away to see how deeply innovative a single token tracking platform could be. Darkcoin is a project I will watch closely following this fascinating discussion. Thanks to Fernando for introducing me to Evan and organising this interview. Content: Fernando Gutierez, Evan Duffield, Arthur Fallshttps://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/beyond-bitcoin-26-darkcoinlove the accents ; ) ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Finally !! I am still dumbfounded why neither Adam or Stephanie haven't jumped at the opportunity to feature Darkcoin. Every thing they love and hate about BTC point to DRK. Specially Stephanie who is more "out there" in opinion, and ferverous libertarian. I really dont get it. They've had a few dozen whacky coins, I dont get why they've still not done anything on DRK. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I still haven't listened to it, so I'm gonna blame the edition for everything that is not right... including my accent I agree about the LTB crew. I've written a few articles there and emailed to all of them regularly, but they never show more interest in DRK. Arthur, on the other hand, was great. Too bad he's discontinuing his podcast. Let's hope at least this raises some more interest.

Isn't it amazing how people can just blatantly lie through their teeth using all the words they think will pass them off as credible.
Have sent a report to Google too.
Better check that it is actually a scam and they're not actually just selling a stash of Darkcoins at a premium over exchange value. It is not only that they look like a scam, we had a couple people saying they had bought darkcoins from them and never received them. Also, I asked someone who speaks Chinese to contact them and it was impossible as they would not respond to any of his requests/messages. I agree that we need to be careful when accusing someone because the word scam is wildly overused, but in this case I think it is justified.

There is a Chinese site that claims to be the Asian branch of Darkcoin and is trying to scam people by selling Darkcoin. I'm not sure how big it is because we've only receive a few reports, but please help by reporting them to google so they are not indexed any more. We need as many reports as possible. The site is: http://www.darkcoin.companyTo report it to google: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/

I got to play with IX for the littlest of times, it sent cold chills down my spine ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) No one has addressed this, but vertoe's port of Darkcoil is just surreal. When InstantX is implemented, it will shame Ripple. No more "oooh, Darkcoin has a bad name and will be forever associated to darkmarkets" Seriously, I love anon, that's how I got here, but IX will elevate cryptos to a entirely new plateau of awesomeness. If we kick off IX quick enough into mainnet, we will own 2015. Ooooh, what is Darkcoil? I haven't heard of this one! I've been too busy to keep up I guess? Darkcoil is the wallet that Vetoe did a few weeks back porting Bitcoin 0.9.3. It didn't have Darksend and worked great. I believe it has been used as the base for Darkcoin Core now. Edit - link to his thread in drktalk: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoil-lightweight-darkcoin-wallet-v0-9-18-9.3017/

maybe the volume will shift to bitfinex due to that walls ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'd love to see the volume on bitfinex at least as high on cryptsy. Bitfinex is more advanced and is rly fast in deposit withdraws and trades. Lets put there more focus. I'd like to see some volume go into cex.io too although I find their fees a little high for my liking. Their interface is excellent though. Except they always have so many tiny orders that it is really difficult to see the order book. At least it was like that when I used in the past. Anyway, yeah, it would be nice to spread the love to the other good ones that are not Cryptsy. I guess it is just difficult to attract volume. I bought some DRK on Bittylicious at a very fair price last week. They only had 88DRK in stock though. We're a bunch of hodlers ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Also, the price of DRK usually moves less than other coins, so it is less attractive for traders looking for violent swings.
