141  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 09, 2024, 05:36:39 PM
maybe.. but not because bitcoin will not increase in price but because they could have maximized their profits by waiting and buying bitcoin when the price is going down bitcoin will still increase in price for the next following months and its “peak” would be nothing compared to bitcoin’s price right after halving

it’s their money in the end so if they feel they can do and invest their money no matter how high the price is then good for them

Well, some of those who are buying right now are those who are new to it, so they never really had an opportunity to buy lower and I don't think they would wait for the next bear market to make their purchases so they don't really have a choice. However, some are those who didn't buy when Bitcoin was lower because they thought it will go even lower than that, and they are buying now because they have got the impression that it isn't going to $10k anymore.
You can blame the second category of buyers who are buying right now because they had the opportunity to do that earlier but they didn't because of their ignorance or maybe because of lack of experience and knowledge.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into Bitcoin as self pension on: March 09, 2024, 05:31:40 PM
Do be careful about that idea OP, you don't want to end up with no money in your name when you retire or that you've got smaller than you'd expect to have amount of pension money, don't rely on bitcoin as your way of growing your pension, maybe diversification can help you but other than that, you've got to be crazy to just rely on bitcoin, can you even handle the possibility that you're going to be seeing your pension money going up and down whenever the market is experiencing issues and FUDs because you've got to be really strong and won't be easily swayed by these FUDs and short-term price drops if you're investing your pension on bitcoin alone and can you handle hodling for a really long time? Because that's what you're going to be doing all the time, no selling or withdrawing, just accumulating.

Have you also thought about how to store your bitcoins long-term? Because there's a case of obsoletion in technology and you don't want that bitcoin get locked out because your wallet isn't compatible with the latest technology at the time that you're selling to claim that pension.

Very good points, one needs to make sure that one completely understands everything before one gets to execute one's plans, especially when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies with either savings money or a pension because both of these are very important for someone and their future. Not knowing the risks involved and the possible negative outcomes of an investment can be devastating for investor in the future once they experience extreme ups and downs in their journey.
This is why, it is essential for an investor to understand and know everything beforehand to avoid any problems and confusions later on.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏FREE CONTEST 🏏 | PAKISTAN PREMIER LEAGUE 2024 AND DISCUSSION | on: March 09, 2024, 12:38:22 PM
Anyone can predict who will win today match and the team would be Karachi Kings. I like Lahore Qalandars team especially Shaheen Afridi bowling is great and also the batting power of Fakhar Zaman. I was not aware of Sahibzada Farhan before this PSL but he is doing also tremendous job. I will say that Lahore Qalandars luck this time was bad to lose so many matches at the start.

Toss Win: Lahore Qalandar team
Team Win:  Karachi Kings
Best Batsman: Fakhar Zaman
Best Bowler: Mir Hamza
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: March 08, 2024, 07:17:06 PM
This item always makes me smile but I think it is appropriate and really dominates everything. In fact, even $1 dollar may take a long time to rise and you have to wait at least 4 hours if the capital is $100. However, if we are good at reading market hype, it is quite easy to get profit estimates by buying coins that are trending, for example currently many are UP on meme tokens.

Yes. The basic principle is still buy and hold and then you will feel the increase if we only have 1 to 2 days of trading time, I think the hope is very far away.

Mostly, people who invest in meme coins believe in the theory of getting rich overnight because they have seen it happening with some of the meme coin investors in the past where they got huge returns on their investments because they were early birds. However, such people don't understand that it doesn't happen to everyone, and if that were possible, we would have tons of millionaires around us by now.
You are right that this theory is nothing but a self-made thought that some people have made in their minds after hearing about cryptocurrencies and how profitable they can be sometimes.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The Negative Effect of Inflation on Household Savings? on: March 08, 2024, 06:38:29 PM
I'll go with the second option. Save a little and invest the rest. I believe that is the wisest thing to do. It would be so bad if you had little money, at least in savings, so that if anything had to go wrong in the future, you would stretch your hands in there and settle the problem without having to risk your investment. Investments are for financial elevation, which is why it is essential to invest. Both investment and savings are necessary, which is why it is important not to put all eggs in one basket, they should be done alongside each other.

It is a very big mistake if a person uses all their savings for investment purposes because as you said, savings are not supposed to be used for investments because emergencies can come at any point in life, and when that happens, one would need funds for the emergencies, and in such situations, one wouldn't be able to withdraw their funds from the investments they've made which is why it is important to have savings.
If one can afford this, they should have two funds, one should be their savings and the other should be for investment purposes, so that when they invest their investment funds, they would still have their savings intact and in emergencies, they can use those savings.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready to adopt the BTC program for your company? on: March 08, 2024, 05:53:10 PM
Inspired by Travala's idea, I predict a future where many companies offer similar loyalty programs. Beyond its role as a currency, BTC is increasingly recognized as a valuable brand. I, for one, would be eager to participate in programs that reward everyday purchases with BTC, from groceries and beauty products to airline tickets.

Who wouldn't want that? However, it isn't going to happen very soon and it is still going to take a lot of time for Bitcoin to become completely mainstream.

I would like to know your opinion on the wave of BTC adoption by companies:
  • Do you think BTC programs will be useful for companies in their efforts to reach users?
  • Are you willing to receive rewards in BTC when using future services?
  • If you have your own company, are you willing to accept BTC or launch BTC programs?

1 - Of course, it is a good strategy for companies to cash in on the opportunity since they can see the hype around the globe for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and they know they are going to be in the news if they do something like that.

2 - I don't think anyone would decline something like that, I would be happy just to have services available to be availed with Bitcoin even without rewards or anything.

3 - I don't, but if I had one, I would surely like to do that if I could get permission and clearance from the authorities to do that because it is not possible to do something like that if you are legally not allowed to do it.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many satoshis are there per person in the world? on: March 08, 2024, 05:34:35 PM
That's good info, but these don't make much sense in my opinion because just like wealth in the world, Bitcoin is never going to be evenly distributed among the world population, and there will always be a group that will hold most of it, some will get their hands on some of it, and a large percentage would have nothing at all and this percentage is the poor population of the world that don't even have access to basic facilities, the internet and electronic devices are a far thing.
So, such stats are good just for the records but things like these are never going to be justifiable because we are not going to see that happen at all.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: March 08, 2024, 04:37:34 PM
Let's say that for now my profit from cryptocurrencies is really minimal, i hope to increase in the future, luckily i don't need it for everyday life so I reinvest them (the profits) completely, more precisely i put them on stake

Do you find trading to be extremely difficult? If not, why don't you try and learn trading so that instead of staking your profits you use them as your capital for trading? I'm not a fan of staking because the APR or APY is not very high when you stake stablecoins and it is full of risk if you stake unstable coins or tokens because if they lose value, you won't be able to access your staked assets so that you can sell them before them losing much value.

Trading can be much more profitable than staking, but all you need is to learn about it first. Learn about the market, trading practices, risk management techniques, and everything else that is required in trading and then start with a small amount first and increase it over time when you become a bit experienced.
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: March 08, 2024, 04:32:57 PM
why are you angry at people who actually have nothing to do with you? you can't say to investors that "hey guys, stop buying, i wanted to buy that bitcoin at a lower price and the price increase bothers me" you can't because of who you are tell people to do what they want to do.

so stop complaining about what people are doing and just focus on your investment, because if you feel smarter than most people, it shouldn't be difficult for you to make a profit from the current bitcoin price.

If someone is smart enough to understand what would happen if people do a certain thing, they should be able to time the market in a much better way than those people, so if OP thinks others are crazy and out of their minds then he should observe their actions and then plan his actions accordingly to stay on the positive side while others would stay on the negative side at the end of the day.
However, that isn't the case, OP isn't an expert himself and he probably has no idea about the market and how different cryptocurrencies move, he is just generalizing things and reaching conclusions on his own without having any solid point in his claims.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏FREE CONTEST 🏏 | PAKISTAN PREMIER LEAGUE 2024 AND DISCUSSION | on: March 08, 2024, 01:03:47 PM
Both team are strong and important game for both team. So far Lahore Qalandars is out from the tournament. Karachi Kings also have very little chance while Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad will battle to be on top 4. Any loss will decrease the chnaces of that team to qualify so we can say that today match is crucial for both team. I think Quetta is looking more strong.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators, 25th Match
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
Match starts at Mar 08, 14:00 GMT
Toss win             :   Quetta Gladiators
Team win           :    Quetta Gladiators
Best Batting.      :  Jason Roy
Best bowler        :    Mohammad Amir
151  Economy / Economics / Re: keep pleasures without incomes aside and Chase after profits on: March 07, 2024, 07:20:14 PM
In defense and pursuit of financial gain, it's often wise to keep pleasure aside and focus on the strategies that drive profit, ensuring long-term success and stability. Cool  Investing and saving a basic strategies to keep one afloat in times of need.

A lot of things are not done for pleasure but they are done because some occasions don't come a second time in our lives, which is why when they come, we should do our best to make them as memorable and beautiful as possible so that we can remember and cherish those moments for the rest of our lives no matter where and in what condition we may be in the future.
So even though I understand that money and gains are important things for anyone in this era, family and events and occasions that are related to them should be celebrated no matter what because we don't know when we die, so it's also important to make sure that we are giving them time and value as well alongside our jobs and sources of income.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Contributing to the network on: March 07, 2024, 05:27:05 PM
It is one of worst idea. Things relate to money, I don't try to promote it to my family members, friends as there will be potentially negative effects for my relationships with them.

If you respect your relationship with them, want to maintain it, don't do any action relates to money.

I completely agree with this because when you tell your friends and families or anyone that you know personally, you expose yourself to the blame they will put on you in case they lose money when investing in cryptocurrencies after you tell them about it, and this can become an issue between you and the person blaming you for it because your intentions might have been pure but they wouldn't see things that way when they lose money.
So even if someone decides to contribute in increasing the adoption for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they shouldn't do it with family members or closed ones, and if they do it, they need to make sure that they explain each and everything beforehand such as risks involved, etc.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏FREE CONTEST 🏏 | PAKISTAN PREMIER LEAGUE 2024 AND DISCUSSION | on: March 07, 2024, 01:19:33 PM
Everyone predicting that Islamabad will win so why not try something different. Just like Lahore Qalandars made upset in previous game because Lahore Qalandars haven't won any game before and then won against a very good team. I think Karachi King also have power to win the match and strategical stronger than Islamabad United.

Match 24: Islamabad United Vs Karachi kings
Win the toss: Islamabad United
Winning team: Karachi kings
Best Batsman: Tim Seifert
Best Bowler: Imad Wasim
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: March 07, 2024, 04:48:18 AM
A person who does not know about trading and has no knowledge about it is unlikely to profit from it. Trading is not really gambling you can indulge in it depending on your luck only. Trading is very complex and if you want to do it you must know a lot about it and along with that you need to be in touch with experienced people And if you want to trade then I would say you shouldn't do it in the beginning. You can invest if you want to supplement it. Then simultaneously try to learn about trading gradually. It is not the case that you will get huge profits just by trading, so be interested to know it well first. Don't start trading just on the impulse of others.

1+ for that.
A lot of people make the mistake of rushing it because they want to start making money as quickly as possible but in this rush, they ignore the fact that the most important thing about it is the learning part because how would you be able to do something effectively if you don't know enough about it? With minimal knowledge, you can barely be able to make successful trades unless you occasionally become lucky and get some trades in your favor.
I also agree that one shouldn't rush it when learning the process, give it enough time so that all the concepts get cleared in your mind so that when you face some situation in the future where you need to solve a specific problem, you will need to know about it to act quickly and effectively to solve the problem.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out cons of altcoins? on: March 07, 2024, 04:07:32 AM
I don't agree with you. Without understanding the final product (its technical component), but only on information about the project team, it is short-sighted to make investments. There are quite a lot of talkers and “effective” managers who only talk, but cannot implement the product for years so many. Of course, it is necessary to study the project team, look through the Githubs of programmers, and find out the list of investors. Therefore, many factors must be taken into account, even if it seems complicated.

I believe I have mentioned about following up on the developments of the project to understand whether the team and the developers are serious about the project and whether all the developments are going according to the plan they have provided publicly. I don't think that a person needs to understand the technical side of a project to understand whether it has potential or not, and by the technical side I mean the technical stuff mentioned by them like in the whitepaper or GitHub or anywhere.
If you understand the vision of the project, what it aims to offer, and whether it is going according to the plan and the roadmap with complete transparency, that is enough for you to determine whether the project has got potential or not.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Only In a Coin that Increase in Value in this Bull Run. on: March 07, 2024, 02:13:31 AM
No one will actually be interested in throwing their money in a project that is not growing but in bull season every project will show sign of green irrespective of whether it's good, team behind is working on its development, use case that is when we have to use our wisdom to narrow down the available options and pick the right one from the existing group.

Having a couple of green candles or showing a growth percentage as low as 1 or 2% isn't enough, and a lot of projects stay within this area even during the bull run because they are abandoned and people barely trade them. We all know that the price of an asset goes up only if it is in demand, that is what a bull run is all about. When demand for Bitcoin increases, and supply is reduced through the halving event, it's price goes up, and altcoins that receive investors tend to go up with it as well.
However, if an altcoin isn't traded at all and has zero investors, it will barely be able to gain any value even during the bull run even if they are showing a green sign.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in a newly project is worth it or not ? on: March 07, 2024, 02:06:47 AM
It is the second beginner's account promoting minerpepe in the last 24 hours.
I don't know if this was intentional or if it was a paid promotion, but minerpepe is a ponzi scheme. They make unbelievable promises such as a 12% daily profit, and any project that makes similar promises should be avoided.

This is becoming more and more common these days in the forum where a newbie or brand new accounts are created and then with those accounts new threads are created to promote a certain project that is either a scam or has no budget for marketing itself which is why they use such tactics to advertise their projects in public forums like these.
So those who don't know, this isn't a genuine post or a user who is genuinely asking for advice about the project but he is here to promote it and this thread is just an excuse for that. They think that we are a bunch of fools who would start investing in the project after reading such threads but this isn't how it works around here.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rate AltCoin value between 2021 past bull run and this 2024 halving season on: March 06, 2024, 07:25:39 PM
So due to my interests now in AltCoins, I needed to know if the AltCoins ATH Is also surpassing it's past Ath in this halving season.

That is what we expect and that is what happens in every bull run based on historical charts and events. However, there is no guarantee that any altcoin is going to surpass its previous all-time high, but as we know, altcoins and their prices are indirectly connected with Bitcoin's price, which means that if Bitcoin goes up, altcoins will follow suit because Bitcoin is the market leader in the industry.
So if you are asking this because you are willing to make investments in altcoins, then you should know that when the bull run comes, Bitcoin doesn't go up alone and all altcoins go up as well and you can see this happening in the market right now.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: March 06, 2024, 06:26:42 PM
What is a realistic expectation from the bull run, given  the last one in March 2021, Bitcoin hit  $61,000 and fell down to 31k about two couple of months later... It rose later on, amazingly though. But is this price fall normal in the bull run?? What is a helpful tip here.

Most people who haven't seen a bull run so far think that when the bull run is here, the market keeps going up straight which isn't true. Even during the bull run, there can be corrections and dips and times when the market becomes stable or stagnant at a certain price point. So if you see such a thing happening, understand that it is normal for Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market to face these things at any time.
So you should know that the market can dip even in the bull run, though there is no specific percentage that you can consider normal and beyond that abnormal, but it is just that you should expect such things during the bull run as well.
